The restaurant was approximately 5 mins walk away from Yorii station. We ordered one of the omakase course and had asked if we could have duck meat as one of the dishes in the course. The restaurant was happy to include that, and was also very attentive to whether we have any allergies or if we didn't like particular type of food. The food were beautifully presented and the quality of the food was excellent. The chef had used ingredients that were in season. They also had a âhomemadeâ special plum (ume) brandy, which was very delicious, if you are a plum wine lover. The food was very affordable as we'd have to pay twice the amount if we had similar food in Tokyo. Highly recommended!

Ayu is one of the best delicacies in fine Japanese cuisine. This is the place you want to be if you are a genuine ayu lover. You can experience one of the finest Japanese food culture with less than hundred dollars per person. It is a great deal.Ayu is a summer delicacy. They serve ayu perhaps from June to October. You should make sure if ayu is available on the day of your reservation. The best room is upstairs in my opinion. The Arakawa river view is wonderful; the breeze is cool; the decor is beautiful; however, you have to be ready to sit on tatami and zabuton without any chair; it is more than seventy years old wood building.
