We entered a café and actually ended in a really tasty restaurant. The menu is sparse as you have a choice between 4 set menus. It's all in Japanese of course. We ordered what we think was a tomato risotto and a cheese curry. And we're not disappointed. The menu comes with a delicious soup and a salad whose dressing is home made. Eventually, we decided to buy a bottle of that dressing. The staff is very friendly and happy to accommodate you with their excellent cuisine. There, you can also find a lot of information on what to do while in Rishiri.

I ordered the Rishiri Kelp Shochu! My god that packed a punch!! I also recommend some good with that. The octopus tempura soba and pork cutlet on rice bowl were very affordable and yummy. Great view of Mt Rishiri.

Specially destined for this place for its most fresh, original and delicious uni!!! Good to try both sushi and unidon! It's hard to find the same taste of uni in other parts of the world, even in Japan! Worth to get there from Wakkanai by ferry. Good to rent a car to drive there. P.S. one of the beautiful lakes in Rishiri Island is nearby!
