Among the priciest Japanese restaurant in Penang, but the food and environment make it worth the price. Some of the dish served are less commonly found in other Japanese restaurants. The crab meat chawan mushi, while expensive, is recommended. The interior of the restaurant is amazing. One half has a modern feel, while another half has an ancient traditional feel.
Very arrogant waitress and poor service. Waitress keep on insisting I must order their soup which I have told them 4 times I don't want to have soup for my dinner. Finally, I told off the waitress if you kept on pestering me on the soup, I will leave the restaurant immediately. Food was average and pricey.

Went over to this restaurant for all you can eat ala-carte buffet lunch. Total 17 of us and children are charged half price while toddlers can eat free. Reasonable selection of Japanese dishes such as grilled saba/salmon/sakana fishes, scallop, sashimi platters, sushi, various rolls, temaki and maki plus free flow of drinks. We felt that the sashimi was cut slightly too thick. Taste might not match those from premium sushi chains... Overall, still a good place to dine with family and friends.

This Japanese restaurant is busy at lunch and dinner times. It has both ala carte and set meals with chicken, fish/seafood and beefs proving very popular besides the noodle dishes. A good selection of desserts and drinks are on offer apart from what's on the conveyor belt!!

It is situated on the first floor of a business building at the busy Juru Auto City junction, next to Haagen Dazs outlet, on your right as you drive in from the North-South Highway Juru Interchange. It has very simple decors but it is very spacious unlike the usual cramped Japanese restaurants in shopping complexes. It is well-lit and clean. The service is fast and friendly. We ordered Soba Sushi Bento consisting of cold buckwheat noodles, unagi sushi, tempura, chicken teriyaki, miso soup and chawan mushi (RM50), Unagi Bento consisting of unagi, chicken in ginger sauce, stir fried bitter gourd, miso soup and chawan mushi (RM45), Shikaniku Black Pepper which is imported venison (RM28) served with garlic rice (RM6), Yari Ika Batayaki or imported giant squid grilled in butter sauce and Ginmutsu Teriyaki, cod fish grilled in teriyaki sauce (RM30). There is a ten per cent service charge. All the portions were quite generous. The taste is just nice and right as it is not too thick in flavour. It is commendable that hot and cold green tea, assorted pickled vegetables as well as wet hand towels are on the house. The prices are fair and reasonable.A good restaurant for a family meal as well as an ideal business meeting place because its wide seating arrangement allows for private chats without being eavesdropped by the other diners. It is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a Japanese restaurant on the mainland side of Penang or if you are planning to have some private moments over a meal.
