One of the local friend in Osaka recommend to eat udon at Kawafuku Udon. I walk to go there from dotonbori that is near by shinsaibashi station. I ordered Tsukemen with Inari Sushi and Fried Garlic sprout and pork. Most of people is local not tourist.

First, there is free parking but it is in a designated parking lot the next block over. Be prepared to wait, especially during lunch. Non smoking but the smoking area is right in front of the door so you need to walk through a wall of waiting smokers. Not a huge restaurant, only two larger tables that can fit more than 4 peoples. Most are two seater tables. They ask you to order your meal while you wait for your seat so that food will arrive quickly when you finally get your table. Now, for the food. Pork cutlets were pretty good. Crispy crust on the outside, fried - how can things go wrong? Bottomless rice, cabbage salad and tea, you cannot leave the place hungry. Friends ordered the fried oysters, they were not impressed so stick with their speciality which is their pork cutlets. One side note, they have a traditional squat toilet. I don't do squat toilets so this may be an issue for some folks who are not used to such facilities.

Welcome to Otowa Sansou. Nestled within the tranquil maple forest of Mino Quasi-National Park, Otowa Sansou offers a nostalgic glimpse into the past, a time when traditional values permeated the very essence of hospitality provided to the weary, hungry gu
I dined as part of the large group and this was the culinary highlight of my trip. I lost count of how many courses we were served in a exquisite degustation menu. A real variety of foods on offer and the opportunity to cook some of it ourselves with shabu shabu. I noitced while i was here you could also stay here. Yes please. Next time!

Ichijunisai Ueno Mino is a 2 Star Michelin restaurant located in the beautiful area of Mino where guests can enjoy a luxurious meal in an exclusive private room surrounded by nature. Guests can enjoy an array of carefully selected seasonal ingredients in
Superb food, impeccable service and pristine surrounding. Do not miss the opportunity to dine at Ichijunisai Mino if you are in Osaka and loves nature. Close on Monday and Tuesday so plan your visit accordingly. Booked the omakase lunch in advance and informed about diet preferences. One of my dining buddies do not take beef and the kitchen noted that down and tailor made the omakase to suit her.Planned to visit the famous Mino waterfall before proceeding for omakase lunch but typhoon Saola caused landslide and closed the park. The restaurant is blended into the surrounding and don't even have a signboard so locating it takes some time although it's just right along the main path to Mino park. We were soaked by rain but the reception staff at Ichijunisai were very attentive and sheltered us into the restaurant the moment they spotted us on the road! We were given towels to dry ourselves and quickly ushered into our own private diving room - facing the forest and river. Cozy room and superb view.Menu was written in Japanese hence I can't translate them but the omakase menu changes with season and availability hence what you get might be different from my experience. One of my friends don't really fancy sashimi but she changed her perception after this meal as only the freshest and best ingredients were used. The food tasted so good from the beginning to the end.We were celebrating birthday and the kitchen specially prepared sekihan for the birthday girl. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. When we bid farewell to the staffs, they handed our coats - air dried and warmed - back to us. Really impeccable food and service quality. Will definitely return

I often visit the place to eat Takoyaki. The place is simple but the food is great! I sometimes order two plates in one visit.

Food is spectacular . Very tasty and fresh. Have as much rice, cabbage or miso soup with the set menu for 300 yen extra.Try the sauces and grind your own sesame seeds, with the sauce of your preference. Staff are always friendly . The only reason i havent given this 5 stars is because there is no menu in english or at least with images to make it easier to understand. I know it makes a difference! But i can recommend the pork loin, the beef mince amd the prawns are huge!

Ippudo, our ramen restaurant, was first established in 1985 in Hakata, Fukuoka. Currently in 2017, we have over 100 stores throughout Japan. In 1990, our founder, Shigemi Kawahara, entered the Hall of Fame for winning the the ramen competition of the show
Ippudo is probably the best meal I had whilst in Japan. Go to Ippudo only if you are craving for ramen. Top it up into a set and one would receive a delicious and complete meal that comes with gyoza. The broth is the most important element in a ramen. In this case, I like the broth so much that I had to slurp the broth directly from the bowl.
