Small sushi place near the city office of Ishigaki. I ordered a selection of the finest sushi ("matsu"), so it was 2400Â¥ for around 15 pieces. There was shrimp, salmon, eel, omelette, salmon eggs, urchin, squid, mackerel, and also fatty tuna (excellent!) and raw ishigaki beef.Very simple atmosphere and quick service. I recommend.

This restaurant offers regional Japanese food in a tradional setting. They had menus in multiple languages and our waitresses spoke good English. The food is interesting and good (would recommend one of the sets plus a few additions) but not spectacular. They have a Japanese song performance over dinner which started mellow but then got the whole place up and dancing at the end. Overall this is a great dining experience and given the excellent atmosphere something I'd recommend for a trip on Ishigaki.

No English menu, although we managed to figure out enough options by using a Japanese phrasebook. The usual items were all there --- pig ear salad, sea grapes, etc. What we ordered was promptly delivered, well prepared, and delicious. The waiters were very helpful and friendly, despite being extremely busy. If I had only one place to eat in Ishigaki, this would be my choice.

The restaurant looks a part of local residing house and specializes for Yaeyama noodles. We ordered Yaenaya noodles with Japanese paella. Yaeyama noodles is slightly different from Soki noodles, a bit sweeter soup, simpler presentation. However, flavor is equally impressed. Perfect for lunch stop before heading for Mount Banna.

Great place to pick up food for a beach/Banna park picnic! You can get small portions of stir fry, rice balls, bento boxes, packs of sweet potatoes, local bread and treats, dons, and of course their delicious fried food (chicken breasts and legs are a must)!!! I found my beloved deep fried curry bun here today!!!!!

The location of Tofuno Higa is a bit far from the central area. So I recommend you to get there either by car, scooter or bike. Or else, you need to have a preparation for a long walk. Went there with friends around 6ish in the morning for Breakie. I ordered the small tofu set and it's nice and fresh. Moreover, you better visit the restaurant before they sold out all tofu ;)

Then you would like add other dishes, I recommend you the sushi of Ishigaki beef, and fried rice with calamari ink.But again, you should taste the sashimimori first, because that's the highlight here, and that should be tasted when you are hungry. You can eat the slice of Chinese radish and seaweeds which could be a good substitute for a salad!

The spare ribs soba here is very good. The ribs has been braised for a long period of time with Japanese soya sauce. They are tender and tasteful. However, there was a long queue. Need to write down your name and the number of people at the name list at the front door. It took about an hour to wait.

I really wanted to hate this place! Itâs too noisy on the phone to make reservation. Theyâre serving endangered species. Itâs full of tourists. But everything was off the hook. So good itâs ridiculous. Seriously donât go, theyâre getting a swelled head.

Great place to eat. They have unique dishes.Their signature dishes are smokey meat, which come under a glass dome full of smoke, that the waitress opens in front of you, spectacular and tasty. Thank you for your comment!! We are glad to know you enjoyed our dish. We are waiting for next coming!!
