The history of Ise hospitality is old, in the Edo period, A teacher of a travel guide guards meals to Shinto shrine visitors, It is supposed to provide accommodation and also prepare souvenirs. Also, at that time the Miya Family (Miyake) who the visiting
Attracted by the abalone skewers poster on front door. We went in and found it was almost full house at noon, with everyone eating Matsusaka beef.Ordered sukiyaki set which came with rice and udon, felt a little disappointed as our plate of Matsusaka beef was very fatty (not marbled). There was a male staff who could speak English and was very helpful.A good restaurant to cool down in hot summer.

The restaurant is located near Ise Grand Shrine (Naiku), along the sacred Isuzu river that flows through the Shrine.Their food is good - they have a wide variety of tofu cuisine. The atmosphere is very nice. Crowded especially on weekends.

We had a premium gyudon (beef rice bowl) and hot plate Japanese style hamburger. Both were great and beef quality was wonderful. Reasonably priced not expensive at all. The restaurant is newly renovated. Small but beautiful interior, and clean.

A bright and switched-on foreigner-friendly restaurant easily located near Ise's Ujiyamada rail station. Plenty of satisfying set meal and à la carte options, including sophisticated bento boxes, tempura, sushi and local lobster. Prices perhaps a little on the high side.

This location is known for tegoshi sushi (marinated tuna), one of the 2 famous dishes in Ise, udon being the other. Food - 2The food is just fair nothing especially mind blowing. The specialty sushi is just fair. Did not feel like there was anything special about the marinade nor the fish. Service - 2This place runs like a factory, especially during busy hours. Donât expect any special service. Order, eat and pay. Atmosphere - 4Personally, the atmosphere and feel of the place is the most important or dominating factor here. Try to get a seat by the window for a river view. This place is a place you come once in your life for the experience. Will not return but glad I tried it once

Butaste, located in Okage Yokocho, enjoys a good reputation among TA travelers, and this is why my wife and I went there. As it was during the new year's holiday, we had to write down the name and to wait about one hour to eat Gyudon. (If you take Sukiyaki, you can skip the line, because it is served in a different dining room.) Gyudon, made of Ise beef, was delicious, although it was a little bit salty. It is worth waiting a line.
