The walk over the stone path sets the stage for a traditional dining experience , which itself did not disappoint. The soba and suprisingly the peanut-y dessert were excellent and this establishment will hopefully survive another century for the next generation.

Super friendly owner with 390 yen recommended Okinawa soba! The pork was absolutely tasty, the soup is different with traditional Tokyo ramen, it is more clear and light taste...The shop located in a very hidden street, you need to spend some time to find it, also it is very small and traditional Japanese style dinner, with tatami seat.

This is my fourth visit to Arin Krin over the nonconsecutive seven plus years I've lived on Okinawa. It's very popular, often for going away functions. That speaks volumes about this restaurant, when you consider the number of restaurants on island. With that being said, I was more than a little disappointed that I think the chef forgot to put garlic in the fried garlic rice with bacon. I was missing my tasty bulb friend very much. Garlic makes just about EVERYTHING better! We sampled many of each others' entrées in a happy environment. The restaurant, pleasantly, smells of garlic but it doesn't linger on you like cigarette smoke. Parking is tough; to minimize that, I park at the pachinko parlor across the street so it's an easy drive up 58N to go home.

This place serves up some really awesome dishes. I had the stir-fried tofu set and it was easily one of the best dishes Iâve had in Okinawa. The English menu is smaller and actually not that clear to refer to but you could still get by with some gestures and pointing. The old ladies there are really friendly too.

Ate at Shuri Soba after visiting Shuri castle. The woman in charge was super friendly and spoke a little English. No English menu but there are some pictures and only a few choices so not a problem ordering. We had the soba, a rice bowl and a plate of stewed meat, tofu and veggies. All delicious at a reasonable price.

Food isn't the best in the island but it's good enough and the atmosphere of the place is simple but agreeable. In summer maybe eating in the outside would be pretty hot but this also is a good "Okinawa" experience. My choice in Umichika is the "Sooki Soba", a hot soba soup with meat. Delicius!

Housed in a traditional Okinawa building, you can have a meal facing the garden; the whole atmosphere was good. Food wise was average - had the set with soba (this is more akin to chinese noodles than ramen, with pork soup broth), some appetizers, and jyushi (mixed rice). Expect to wait around 15 to 20 minutes during peak lunch hours.

I'm a big fan of soba and tried many places already in Okinawa and this is so far my favorite unless I find another place. Place is packed everyday with no parking and at minimum 30 minute wait. Filled with locals at all times. Must try.
