Excellent surprise hidden in an office building..... and a very enjoyable lunch- despite the jackhammers outside! For $12 I got a bowl of excellent coriander soup with some crispy, tasty veggies, a spring roll which was veggie but had a delicious almost tempura coating and lemon flavoring and Chilli Chicken with rice and kimchi. I asked for it to be mild and it was milder, than my buddyâs which was 8/10spicy while mine was 6/10 hot. The main also came with a nice sauce, generous serving of rice, and some intermittently hot kimchi.Everyone there was helpful, kind and pleasant. They even gave a discount for all the noise which wasnât their fault!Definitely will return!

If you're spoiled by the sushi in LA, NYC, San Francisco, Seattle, Coast in Evanston will not disappoint. Especially if you're on the hunt for dishes that aren't always available, like toro and uni. The portions are generous and almost fresh enough to flap on your plate.

Come by your local Noodles & Company at 930 Church Street, , Evanston where its globally inspired dishes including noodles, soups and salads, come together to create a World Kitchen.
Food is quite tasty here. I recommend the tomato basil bisque and the macaroni pesto. Add grilled chicken or tofu for protein. The food comes out fast and is delivered to your table. They have the new coca-cola freestyle machine for endless combinations of soda and fountain drink flavors.

A cute quirky place of Amer-Asian food & friendly service. Enjoyed a post theatre 3-course dinner of:Green beans & Tofu with oyster sauce - bit too salty & the beans could have had more body but I was happy to get lots of beans.Bim Bop Bowl with Shrimp - a take on Korean Bim Bim Bop, a beautiful rice bowl of veggies, kimchee, a fried egg & some shrimp. The shrimp could have had some grill marks and flavor but adding some Gojuchang sauce helped.Beignets for dessert - great, even if it was way too sweetHubby enjoyed the Peanut Noodles very much but didn't want anything else there

Bento box with sushi grade tuna was outstanding. Fresh, high quality ingredients. Rolls were made just moments before they were delivered to the table. Could eat there daily!! Simple cafe within a market. Casual atmosphere. Reasonable prices.

Small ramen noodle place on Davis street. Good selection of ramen combinations. Soup stock is very credible. Noodles had the right amount of snap and texture and portions are just right. In addition to traditional shoyu noodles, there were many combinations available to customize your soup. Prices are a bit on the expensive side, but the quality of food is good.

We sat at the bar and watched some fantastic knife skills. Green tea is constantly refilled. Stick with the sushi fish. It is excellent. The rolls are not as good. The rice was a mushy texture. They were only cut into 6 pieces instead of 8 and I found the pieces too large to manage in one bite which can be embarrassing to eat. I also didn't love the tamago and I found the masago ratio of rice to eggs to be lacking. I would give 5 stars to the tuna and the scallops, but only 3 stars to the rest.

Seeker of the authentic culinary experience finds a variety of world cuisine in Evanston. Unfortunately, Koi serves a version of Asian food, somewhat adapted for American clientele that is diluted on flavor, and presentation. In our particular case, the service matched the underwhelming food in being numb and uninterested in the guest experience.Iâm so sorry to hear your unfortunate dining experience at koi.
