There is plenty of fresh fish on Treasure Island Beach, but the best place to get it is at Eggy's on the Beach. The fishing boats come in constantly so you know the fish is fresh. Eggy fixes it fried, stewed, steamed, or escoveitched. Take your pick. Required dress for dinner is a t-shirt and shorts. You are overdressed in anything else. It is 100% outside dining on the beach. Eggy comes out to sit with the guests when time permits. The bar is satisfactory. And they also have good virgin drinks; we had tropical fruit smoothies. They also serve breakfast. When compared to other locations in the area, the prices are very good.

Jack Sprat is a restaurant thatâs really about communityâitâs where the village comes to hang out. Itâs considered the headquarters of eating and drinking in Treasure Beach. And the jerk crab is off the charts.
Very understated beachside experience where you can get local specialties. The jerk chicken pizza was delicious. Nice to watch the sun go down. Can swim at their beach.

This place is a dump. No grill and beg for a drink because the guy running it doesnât care. Find something else to do.

Las Vegas Cafe is the new hotspot in the south coast of St. Elizabeth. Opened in march 2007, we have over come our advirsaries and made some well needed changes that merits to our current status. We are one of the best place to eat seafood as well as a pl
My only point that should be addressed is the initial greeting to the establishment. We were not greeted but stumbled into the bar area to get assistance. With that said, everything after was great. We picked our fish and it was cooked to order. Our waitress was curious, polite. Attentive and was kind to explain the strength of the wifi and where to sit for best coverage. The food came quick. Well presented and very tasty. A quick glance is that it is cooked over a big fire pit and the chef was into his job. The seating, all areas( by the beach, inside the AC or where we sat in the cutest chairs on a deck are all lovely. Great place for a date or celebration. The food was nicely priced and the service excellent. A must do. We will be back.

Treasure Beach is a microcosm of the ever elusive âReal Jamaicaâ. Smurfâs - better known as Dawnâs place by the locals, is the real deal when it comes to a great farm to table breakfast, complete with bold Jamaican coffee and a selection of hot teas to suit any palate. Food is served hot and presentations are colorful. Salted codfish served with Ackee (the podlike fruit of a local species which, when cooked, bears a strong resemblance to scrambled eggs in color, texture, and taste). If there is such a thing as a âJamaican National Breakfastâ (IMO) this could fill the bill!Note to big breakfast appetites: 3 words - The Smurf Omelette!

#1 ranking in several Lonely Planet categories! In many YouTube videos also
This was in included in a day trip we went on. The Pelican Bar is set out in the Caribbean Sea and you are transported there by boat. You can purchase drinks and other trinkets. The owners encourage you to carve your name into the floor or anyway you can find space. You can also take a flag or anything you wish to leave to represent your country. It is possible to swim from this bar however the sea is very shallow and only comes up to your waist. A truly wonderful experience drinking rum punch in the sea
I must confess the food at this restaurant is quite delicious. The food is prepared to perfection. The service is good and the location is great. Its a great place to enjoy a meal with family, friends or solo.

We were in Treasure Beach for several weeks and ate at Strikie T's twice. (It's easy to find--almost across the street from Rainbow Tree Villa.) The proprietor, Chris, is a very experienced cook and a very friendly guy. On top of that, he provides "entertainment" by actually dancing in the kitchen as he prepares your food. Both the food and presentation were excellent, and the prices were more than fair. During the two different meals, we had coconut shrimp, lobster, jerk chicken pasta, and freshly caught snapper. Each meal came with an ample amount of vegetables; I will note these were cooked perfectly as opposed to being overly cooked as seems to be the Jamaican style. We each had two drinks with dinner, usually rum punch or a Red Stripe. The meals averaged $13 (US) each with the two drinks plus a tip. Chris leaves Treasure Beach for several months from about mid-May to mid-October, and I am not sure if the place is open during that time. Another note: we heard but did do not know that his fish and vegetables are better than his chicken dishes.

Stopped here with friends while in the area and managed to peek in the kitchen where the magic takes place - Wow! Dining here began with my nose, which signaled me that I was approaching a target-rich environment then, a few moments later I could hear the pop and sizzle of hot fat as the French fries were being pulled and the constant chopping of the fresh vegetables destined for the sauté pans. The dining area is nicely shaded and seating is about as comfortable as it gets in this area.
