Saturday nigh was our first visit to Cugino's. The wait staff might have been shorthanded, as there were only two servers and the owner (or front end manager) took our wine and first course orders, and served our main courses. There was a mix up on our appetizer order, and we were served arancini instead of the artichoke salad we ordered. Once this was corrected, we moved on to our main courses. My girlfriend had scallops, which she said were very good. I had a pasta dish with scallops, shrimp, salmon, and calamari, but there was only one small piece of calamari, two shrimp and a few thinly sliced scallops. It was very good, but at $40, I thought overpriced. That said, as more and more restaurants move to a casual atmosphere, it was nice to find a "white tablecloth" atmosphere. We'll be back.

Everyone in Buffalo, NY, knows that one of best sports bars in town is Santora's Pizza Pub & Grill. The Transit Road location features 42 different taps to enjoy while you watch the game on one of the 110-inch TVs studded throughout the restaurant, and wh
We happened to go here the same day due to it's close proximity to our hotel... I'd give it a 4 1/2 for lunch and 3 1/2 for dinner.First off, it's a sports bar, so I wouldn't recommend taking little ones past say 5 or 6. The menu is EXTENSIVE. Almost a little too big... during lunch we were trying to figure out which combo we wanted, and felt rushed because you have to flip back and forth through the menu. It took about 20+ minutes for us to decide, and lunch specials end at 2. Granted, we were exhausted due to the nature of our stay in Buffalo, so maybe we were just a bit overwhelmed. They offer traditional American entrees, pastas, pizzas, bomber sandwiches, an extensive salad menu, soups, apps... probably more I've forgotten about. We decided on a salad/pizza combo, and pasta/soup. Minestrone was very good, salad was, well, a regular green salad but fresh (beware... there's an upcharge for salad dressing... huh????), pizza was thin, crispy, and decent sauce, and lasagna pretty good, although basic. They DO use fresh herbs though.Went back for a small pizza during the "big" hockey game. Our waitress was a little slow, place was so loud we couldn't talk, and bathrooms trashed. Of course, that's to be expected at 10pm during a game. But the QUALITY of the pizza went from a 9 to a 4. Undercooked, sauce all on one side and cheese on the other, and just kinda gross. So, I guess it's a hit or miss. I don't expect an establishment of the like to be quiet during a hockey game in Buffalo, NY, LOL, but I DO expect quality food.

What a delightful meal! Exceptional food & service in a pleasant dining room with rustic Italian ambiance. We tried both the Margherita and Funghi & truffle oil pizzas, and were impressed by the beautiful presentation, rich flavors, and slightly chewy thin crust--the perfect texture, in my opinion. A generously sized beet, arugula, & goat cheese salad had a delicate and flavorful house vinaigrette dressing. Complementary fresh bread came with herb-seasoned oil for dipping. An extensive wine list offers many options for complementing the variety of menu options. Serving customers since 1999, this family restaurant presents culinary artistry with skill and grace. Highly recommended!

We visited Santora's while staying at a hotel down the street. The restaurant has a large bar and lots of TVs. We sat in the dining area in a booth. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Our pizza was very hot and good. The Caesar salad was fresh, crisp and good. We enjoyed our visit and would return.

We were here for a birthday celebration and had a private room. The appetizers were set up and drinks served by very attentive staff. Salvatore himself oversaw our party for most of the evening and even prepared my wife and her mothers food himself. The whole of the hotel, bars and rooms are beautifully designed and appointed with the bar having a very welcoming atmosphere We would defiantly come here again. Our food was piping hot and the steaks were cooked to perfection Overall a great experience

Siena Restaurant offers a delectable fine dining experience in the Buffalo, NY area. Our unique menu features authentic Italian cuisine. Make your reservation today!
Mahi Mahi was a special. Overdone. âSeasonedâ with salt. Boring dish, not so special. Our friend from out of town said her steak was uninteresting and texture was not pleasing. We were drinking our wine, when unbeknownst to me our out of town guest asked the waitress for some bread. She curtly replied âyou must order first.â I know that is the case at Siena, but our friend, new to the place, did not know. Why should the waitress rebuke her?Good place for wine, pizza, bar. Food and service were not up to par for such a restaurant.

My daughter, a student at SUNY suggested this restaurant. After having many meals at Mulberry's and one at Lombardos I had expectations that were simply not met. The place looks like it can be located in any strip mall, the noise level was high and the menu prices were high but I wanted to eat the food firt to pass judgement. The wine list on a tablet is annoying; the wine pour by our waitress was practically to the top of large glasses almost emptying the bottle on 3 glasses. Need to train their staff not to do that. Prices are in a small font on menu and majority of prices are a dollar figure plus $0.90 cents; why not round out to next dollar? Salads were over-priced and not memorable; my wife's octopus appetizer was miserly in amount of octopus. The only entree close to its price in value was short ribs over pasta. My giant meatball sat on a few strands of pasta and at a buck a pound they can be more generous for sure. My wifes chicken parm was smallish in size. Lastly the tiramasu was $12.00 or so and it had no discernable flavor and almost appeared and tasted manufactured out-of-house. $178.00 plus tip for 3 people was obscene. Many people accept mediocrity but I don't and honestly is the only way to be.

Stopped here with friends before a show. I had pan seared Salmon which was GREAT! Friends had Acadia Fish & Chips which looked twrrific. They said it was good. We started with stuffed banana peppers, good but needed 1 more to the serving.Service was outstanding. The noise from the packed bar area was hardly noticeable. I've heard the wood fired pizza is good so we'll haveto go back.

Locally owned and family operated for 34 years. We strive to provide you the best Northern Italian cuisine in all of Buffalo.
Our table of four was very pleased with our friendly and professional waitress, inviting atmosphere and high quality food. We were greeted by the owner and seated promptly. Fresh and crisp greens in both the Caesar and arugula salads. The Italian bread was freshly baked and yummy (we could have easily eaten a whole loaf!). One guest ordered the Filet mignon, another the strip steak. Both said they were tender and delicious. My husband opted for one of the evening specials, venison, served medium rare. He loved it! I went for the red snapper that was grilled and served with a fennel and fresh tomato reduction. Very tasty but a little on the salty side. All entrees came with roasted potatoes and fresh carrots, zucchini and yellow squash. Our guests had room for dessert and ordered the warmed apple pie served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. They devoured their plates. Restrooms are clean, ample Parking. Although a little pricey, itâs worth it. We will definitely return.
