I ordered eggplant parmesan takeout from Barones. The ordering process was very easy and my order was ready when I got there. The pasta was mushy, the sauce bitter and the eggplant was okay, but not great. Next time I will try pizza. Maybe that is their specialty.

My husband and I were here for dinner recently and loved the food. Unfortunately, the two Hostess' are rude and the entire restaurant is cramped with large tables and a Community table & bar that no one seems to ever leave watching football.(This is not a BAR). The noise level is overwhelming and definitely NOT a great environment at all. The best part were the Servers were outstanding and so was the food. As far as the food, it is delicious, but extremely overpriced. Sadly I doubt we will return. We made our reservation two weeks in advance & heard most people have too, they don't seem to book tables well & overbook & then customers also take (we noticed) at least 2 hours to leave. We were their about that time b/c food was served slower b/c of too many bookings at once. We're not fussy people, but this is nuts.

Wow, Westlake. Lucky you to have this gem of a restaurant in your town now. My family and I went in to try it out for lunch today after I read about it here on Yelp and once again my fellow Yelpers have steered me right. Thank you guys!Anyway, the place was very nicely decorated, clean with seating inside and out. We were immediately greeted by a host who gave us menus and invited us to order at the counter. Since this was our first time we ordered like fat Elvis and tried 3 different pastas, a salad, a pizza and a dessert. Mind you, there was only my husband and I with our youngest daughter so we were absolutely gluttonous with this lunch meal. Let me say, everything we ordered was FABULOUS. The Margherita pizza had a delicious crust. The lasagne was made with delicate sheets of pasta that contained bolognese and bechamel. The penne bettola was like pasta I've had when I lived in Rome which I haven't had since. I wish I knew how to achieve this marinara in my home cooking. Anyway, this place is divine. I'm sure it will become a very popular place soon as word gets out. Their service was impeccable and the owner visited our table a few times to check on us which was nice. We will Definitely be putting this gem in our heavy rotation of Restaurants.

This was our first visit, and would come back. The menu is comprehensive (traditional 5 courses if you can est that much!). The appetizers are more than enough to share or even as an entree. The carpaccio popoli was excellent. All the pasta is homemade. Our party of 10 all had a different main dish and all thought the food was excellent. They even fixed a special salad for one of the children. Service was excellent. A team of waiters brought all of the food at the same time and knew exactly where each plate was supposed to go. This is the way it should be, but unfortunately a rarity!

Went to the movies, and wanted a light bite afterwards. Coming from NYC, we had no idea of where to go. Ended up at Farfalla, and had a terrific meal, not too heavy, just right. Food prep was excellent, wine choices were also quite good.Service and comfort really nice. The menu was very extensive.

We met some favorite family members for dinner and were greeted by Linda, also our server. She treated us like old friends and later the owner stopped by the table to check on us. All the staff was attentive. Lots of good recommendations and yummy selections. Homemade pastas and sauces were great, even the vegetarian ones. My hubby had a generous serving of salmon, not over cooked. We shared an apple pie with gelato and it was not as good as the dinner, it had sort of a custard filling with a texture we didnât care for. Our kids, who are locals, had gone here for an anniversary and recommended it to us and after our shared dinner, they said they would go there again.

We have always gone to Rusticoâs sister restaurant... this may become our favorite neighborhood restaurant!! - their Bruschetta is so fresh, truly amazing! My wife and I enjoyed their Cheese Board, would say it was just ok, not a dish we would have again. For our entree my wife had their âSoleâ special in a bed of spinach, it was absolutely fantastic. It was cooked to perfection, had a tasty almond crust... it truly melted in her mouth.I asked them to make me a pasta dish with Pappardelle Bolognese and sausage... it was very very good and I was so impressed that they didnât hesitate to custom make me what I wanted. For desert we shared their Chocolate filled Creme Puffs and we couldnât finish it.All paired with a Casa Di Ama Chianti Reserve. Great value and tremendous food with excellent service!

I have eaten at this place many many times, including last Sunday. Weekend reservations are definitely advisable. The food, top to bottom of the menu is consistently very good. By careful selection visitors can have an excellent dining experience, inside or outside, from somewhat inexpensive to somewhat expensive. The service is always attentive (can be a little slower at peak serving times) and it is obvious that the staff and owners want to please.Hello Steven! We really appreciate such kind words, and the time that you took to write this review. Your recognition of our staffs hard work to please gives us much delight! We hope to see you again very soon and can't wait to serve you!

Business dinner with a large group that was handled very well. The restaurant has a private room with sliding glass doors that makes for a fully private dinner party. Appetizers. Stuffed peppers were excellent. Crispy artichoke hearts lightly breaded and flash fried were good. Fried squash flower was light and tasty. The burrata salad with heirloom tomatoes in multiple types, thinly sliced onion, reduced balsamic vinegar lacked only in the table spoon of burrata. Main dishes. The veal chop was excellent. Juicy, tender and top of its class. The branzino was light and very tasty. Finally the spigola, a bass ccx variation came in a light sauce with a crispy skin and fresh vegetables. Very good. Lots of parking in this high end strip. Excellent table service and very attentive management. Recommended.

The only reason we returned to this place is because we had a coupon and my husband said the pasta was better than the pizza the last time he went. Although the service was good, the place has an odd odor that is highly offensive - unsure if it's all the aging cheese or what. The Italian pinot noir was nothing special. The first bread the waitress gave us was so hard it would have broken a glass window. We asked if that was the best and she returned with a freshly baked loaf, but still it's just plain white bread, nothing special. The Caesar salad lettuce appeared fresh but had zero flavor; the croutons were so hard we almost broke our teeth; the Caesar dressing had an odd flavor. The Supremo Pizza arrived b/4 the pasta but the waitress warned us they may come out at different times since they're prepared at different stations (huh?). Hubby said pizza was ok. I tried a small bite and had the same reaction as prior visit - something not agreeable to my palate is on these pizzas. The baked ziti finally arrived and has absolutely no flavor; was just a huge plate of pasta with some cheese melted on top sprinkled with a tiny bit of basil. Because they serve family style, we unfortunately have all this left over food that we do not want to eat. We have another coupon, but will not return.
