Prosciutto pizza has been my favourite food since I holidayed in Italy (Lignano Pineta) as a young boy. So if I go somewhere new I always search out the best rated pizzerias. You could literally walk past this place if you didn't know the amazing quality of the pizzas they serve. We came for lunch on day and had a great pizza although there was a mix up with the pizza and the fries, they ended up on the pizza haha. Fries removed pizza demolished...... When the larger than life owner (and pizza Jedi) realised the mix up he was very apologetic. The pizza was so good, we decided to spend our last night here, and the pizza was even better. The atmosphere at night adds to the experience with the owner and his sons (I think) chatting to everyone who passes, a real local place. This is no frills as they come with no plates or glasses but amazing pizzas and cold beer at great prices. Officially new favourite pizzeria on the planet!!!

This cavernous beautiful restaurant serves one of the most creative food we had on a very delicious culinary trip in the Puglia coast. The recommended wine was well chosen and the prices were very fair.

For those who wish to experience what it means to dine in an authentic Puglia country setting, surrounded by nature, free-range poultry, fresh mountain air, centuries-old olive groves, and the smells of a down-to-earth Italian kitchen, go no further than the Azienda agricola Tavernola outside of Vieste. It is a little out of the way, nestled amid the valleys of olive groves and farmlands 5 km from Vieste, but trust me, it is well worth the drive. Here, you will experience what it means to taste the **true flavors** of Puglia, from an array of fresh antipasti dishes that will boggle the senses, to secondi, terzi, (second courses, third courses) ... the number of dishes appear endless. Chef Mattia Piscopo and her hotelier husband Francescantonio are experts at making you feel welcome, well nurtured and exceedingly well fed. Their wine cellar is stocked with a number of pugliese vintages (all top notch) and they have a full bar as well. They specialize in catering to groups large and small, including weddings, first communions, baptisms, travel groups, etc. Highly recommended!!

The restaurant is located in a suggestive foreshortening of the historical center of Vieste overhanging on the sea.The environment inside is country - elegant between arches of tuff and wooden beams .
During my stay of three nights in Vieste, the best seafood restaurant I visited in Vieste was Osteria degli Archi. Located in a traditional setting, the restaurant released a familial atmosphere, which was appreciated. The seafood freshness, particularly the octopus, was amazing and the art of the chef provided something really awesome to the two-course meal my wife and I had at the Osteria degli Archi. In addition, the wine list was really thorough and we had the opportunity to taste an excellent dessert wine, Moscato di Trani. The service was professional and formal (maybe because the server and the owners are not fully fluent in English) but who cares when the meal is so outstanding!

After the great reviews we read we decided to try this place out. We arrived and was seated promptly so no problem there. However staff took ages to give us a menu and ages to take our order. My partner had to ask 3 times for his beer! The food was alright, calamari was missing the shrimps and it was quite bland. Staff could really do with putting a smile on their faces as we where made to feel like an inconvenience for being there. Would not recommend.

Having had several large and special Italian meals we wanted something simpler and less filling. Being only 400m from our hotel Enzo fitted the bill. Shared 2 smaller pizzas, one with tuna, onion, capers and olives, the other with prosciutto - both very tasty. We ate in in very basic surroundings and washed the meal down with a beer. Didn't have to wait long either on a Saturday night.

The restaurant Al Cantinone is situated in the inner centre of Vieste. The restaurant offers to its guest tasty Mediterranean dishes using fresh and local food.
We really enjoyed our dinner here. The service is not only friendly but also very attentive. The food is delicious and authentic with local specialties. I would have liked a more extensive wine selection, but otherwise this place is perfect. Definitely recommended in Vieste!Grazie!

We decided to visit the Masseria San Salvatore again this year because I felt we didn't do a good enough review last year and I needed another excuse to eat and drink some fabulous local products! Like I need an excuse This year we arrived early so we could see the sunset and enjoy the amazing views from the location. Here they produce all their own products and there are plenty of animals around for young children to really enjoy. The staff are incredibly polite, friendly and welcoming. For children this is must visit location as they can run around and see all the animals in between dinner courses. Good for parents that have had a long day and want to unwind, while the children amuse themselves. We ordered carpaccio and Tagliere di Formaggi as a starter, which is all their own cheese. As a starter there was plenty for 2 adults and a growing 10year old. It was well presented and appreciated. For our second course we decided on Troccoli con crema di ceci al rosmarino, pancetta e pecorino. We split the dish as we really just wanted to try it and we were not disappointed. For our third course we ordered costolette d'agnello and capretto which is meat eaten off the bone. All different cuts of meat served with vegetables. For my son, this is his favourite part of dinner as he strips the bone of meat. What's lovely is that they cook and prepare the meat in such a way that if you want more, it's immediately ready. We had a choice of deserts which ranged from their house special to fruit so of course we had a variety to sample everything. Crostata di prugne modeled by Simona Santolini!!!!The wine we took was a Puglia wine 'Libe' which was a little light for me at 13% but perfect for the meal. We spent about 3 hours here, ate without any pressure to release the table, which it is important to stress, you need to book or you will be disappointed as this masseria is extremely popular. I personally recommend booking for 8 but arriving at 19.15 so you can relax and enjoy the views.

This restaurant is hidden but just amazing regarding his location, food and care. The service is perfect, the drinks are served with passion and the food is erected with love and elegance. It is a fragrance of a sea taste directly at your table. My fiancé is allergic to gluten, lactose and soja .... not easy to find a good restaurant in Vieste but this one really takes time to advise us what to eat. Really thank you to them. We have been at this restaurant two times during our holiday and we never have been disappointed. A thank you to all the team !!Continue with the same passion Thanks a lot for your special and very appreciated review about our restaurant and team's members. It is been a pleasure for us to satisfy you and your fiancé with our cuisine. Best regards

Nice spot for a small lunch (or small dinner) in the old centre with for example slices of pizza, hotdogs and delicious paposceria. Which is bread (warm) with inside for example cheese, proscuitto, vegetables. Tasted very fresh. Also some other local dishes. Prices are cheap, also the drinks. The people are very nice and helpfull to make the right choice. Some nice tables in the alley.
