A regular destination. We come here in small to large groups often. The food is always excellent and we are treated like family. The proprietor has a wonderful operatic tenor voice and will lead a chorus of "Happy Birthday" or offer his rendition of "O Solo Mio" when appropriate. I recommend Sunday Gravy or Zuppa di Pesce.

We used to live in NJ so wanted to have a Sicilian pie when back. Gianni's is huge and delicious! There's no way we could finish it. My husband has also had their heroes, which he said are great and on excellent bread. We shared a large house salad, which was excellent (one warning - it had lots of pepper on it, a bit too much for me, so let them know if you'd like less). You can BYOB and they have wine glasses for you. It's casual but there are quite a few tables available. You order at the counter and the food is brought to you. Prices are very reasonable. It's a bit tricky getting there if you're on the other side of the road - cross Stelton on Hadley, make a right just before Lowe's, another right at Walmart (Seeley Ave.) to bring you back to Stelton on the "right side."
Angelina's Tavern recently opened. This is an Italian inspired, family run, neighborhood bar and restaurant. Good food. Attentive staff. Generous portions. On-site parking. It is worth getting to know the owner and family during your visit. They are everywhere - seating customers, waiting on tables, cooking in the kitchen, overseeing operations and telling stories - instantly creating a family-style dining experience. The rest of the staff is just as friendly.Half of the evolving menu features a long list of Neapolitan pizzas that are baked in a wood burning oven. The other half of the menu includes Appetizers, Soups & Salads, Panini, Pasta, their "Big Plates" and the Daily Specials all with very generous portions. We've been here 3 times so far. On our first visit we started with Fried Calamari which was quite possibly the best we've ever had. I ordered Chicken Parmigiana, which was excellent. My wife ordered a Panini which also was good - larger than expected - served Italian style. Both dinners were large enough for a take-home second meal.On our second visit we had appetizers and pizza. We thought the Neapolitan style Pizzas to be a cut above. The sauces were fresh tasting and the dough light and airy with a wide variety of available toppings.Tonight we started with Mamma's meatballs - they were extraordinary. If you like meatballs, these are a must to try. They almost melt in your mouth. For dinner we ordered from the Specials menu. My wife had the Chicken Marsala - a huge portion with an outstanding flavor. I had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo which was exceptional.Given that this is a new restaurant - and growing pains aside - so far we have had excellent food, good value and great experiences. We are looking forward to our next visit and are hoping to make dining here a regular event...

Went on a Thursday, and restaurant was practically empty. Service was spot on. Food was good, especially the pasta fagioli ($8.95) and fried calamari. Desserts were a bit expensive but also also good. Parking is limited and a challenge; location is a BYOB, and I believe ownership changed a year ago, but receipts have remained consistent. Overall pretty good food at a reasonable price.

A classic pizza place!!! We were walking back to the car after a few hours at The Break Arcade next door and saw this place. My little guy loves pizza so we stopped in for a slice. I love seeing the old school pizza place and having a little chat with the woman behind the counter finding out that they have been there over 50 years. Thats amazing!!! Any pizza place that has letter boards as menus is good in my book. The modern place can keep their damn flatscreen menus. I did feel a little bad as the place was practically empty on a Saturday afternoon. We sat and ordered 2 slices and a drink, which is a special for $4.50. The pizza was really good...Nothing beats good ole Pizzaria pizza. The prices were very fair about $2 per slice and even 20oz sodas about $1.85. I would recommend this place to everyone. Support the local businesses!!!

Stop here frequently. not really the best in Italian cuisine, but decent enough and priced right. Never had a bad meal here. Wait staff very friendly. Always get our fair share of soup, salad and breadsticks.

We literally drive from Long Island to go here, this time we stayed at Crown plaza Edison, and spent the day at Long Branch, very nice. The Seafood Tower Special for Two, $39, includes Lobster, Tuna, Clams, Shrimp, Oysters, Fruiti de Mare. I was full just from that. Always love the Rack of Lamb, Veal Chop was just OK. I think maybe next time share an entree or just order 2 more apps. Never know what to order anyway, too many choices. And of course BYOB!

We've dined at Carmen's countless times over the years - a cozy little restaurant with good Italian food. Gone almost unnoticed, however, are their take-out Family Dinners for 4.They used to be called "Recession Busters" for good reason. These are complete dinners complete with appetizers, salads, bread and a main course over a bed of pasta. More than enough to feed our family of 4 with leftovers - all at a reasonable price.Recently, we ordered both a Chicken Francaise and a Chicken Marsala pair of dinners for a small get together. Dinners were ready on time. Everyone enjoyed the selections.TIP - these meals traveled well. We simply removed the plastic wrap under the aluminum top and reheated.Tired of Chinese take-out? Give these Italian dinners a try. We were not disappointed.
