Things to do in Sorso
Personale gentile e disponibile.

Stopped for lunch en route from airport to holiday accommodation. The restaurant was empty apart from us. We had a delicious lunch of melon and ham followed by pasta. No pizza available as the oven was not on. We will return during our week here.

We had a glass of wine a plate of cheeses and cold meats, pastries and coffees which all cost 9 euros. We could not believe it. You can sit out in the night outside this delicatessen shop, which also has a wide range of wines and beers. Service was great.

Amazing location literally on the beach with a breathtaking view of the sea and the horizon. Easy parking nearby. Easy phone booking. Friendly service. Delicious food. We had the mixed seafood starters which is good value for money. The âraviolini with cerniaâ and the âfritto mistoâ are mouth watering but the very top was the âseadas with honeyâ for dessert.Maybe a bit pricey but definitely worth it.Definitely will go back.

Well, my title says it all. Vito fulfils all your expectations. The massive restaurant is located in an amazing context overlooking the North Gulf of Sardinia where Asinara island can be seen on a clear day. The great outdoors in the surroundings is amazing. But let's talk food here. The quality and the servings are above and beyond. Fresh food, mainly fish and shellfish, but you can also try the world famous Sardinian piglet bbqed in the old Sardinian style. Can't be described, you need to literally taste it. Vito bombards you with 10-15 appetizers ( only these are enough to make you feel stuffed), then you can try his peculiar first dishes and then freshly caught fish! I was there last Sunday for my brother's wedding lunch and reception. All the guests were amazed . After the lunch, the entertainment and the open bar topped it all. Highly recommended.

Family runnin business.
We visited on a Sunday at 8pm and were the first guests to sit down with a menu. We waited about 15 minutes for someone to take our order, the food when it came was very good, Afterwards the restaurant was filling up and we really were the only tourists there. It seemed like the interested to serve us disappeared after the Italians sat down. After asking three times for our bill, we finally got up and went to the counter to pay. Il Patrone was obviously having a bad evening, too many guests, noticeably not enough personnel, though they were doing what they could. Not our problem, we paid and left and won't be returning. Sir or madam..how long did you wait in your country for a mc?......sorry but our service is fast and not we make any difference of costumers wear the are from turisti are served exactly the same as the Iocal.....finally my night was fantastic happy to make money to pay staff and bills..Enjoy your rest of your holiday....and bye bye tank you....love from us.

The Girasole is a restaurant situated in the heart of a small village, only 10 km far from Sassari, on the north-west of Sardinia. I went there last December with my 5 best girlfriends ( I was visiting Sardinia during my Christmas holidays)As you arrive there, from outside, you feel like you went to the wrong place, you need to go down to a parking lot and there it is.Everything changes once you enter the place, it surprises you with its brightness and its typical colours of Sardinia. The ambience gives you a very warm and welcoming feeling, plus you are immediately offered a glass of prosecco, and then accommodate to your table. We decided to ask for a bottle of white wine and the waiter suggested a Sardinian wine called Karmis, a great choice indeed!Starters are already on the table, everything is all about fish, fresh and delicious. There are two rounds of starters, cold and hot.You pass then to the main courses, to be honest, we only had one cause we were already quite full.We skipped the second courses and pass straight to the dessert. All staff were in role and very professional throughout.I cannot more highly recommend this place!P.s. reservation is needed, they open for dinner at 9pm, I would suggest to book at least 10 days in advance.

If one wants to enjoy Sardinian food, which is not only excellent but some of it made in a more modern way than usual, in a very tasteful environment with staff and a very accommodating owner....this is a very good place to go to!The veranda in the back is lovely and the style of the whole restaurant is very classy but still very much affordable and welcoming. We will be back....Cheers!
