Familiengeführte Trattoria, Klassiker italienischer Küche mit zusätzlich täglich wechselnder Karte, eröffnet im April 2012
I'm Italian but I made an exception this time and I tried an Italian restaurant abroad. The presence of Italians speacking Italian also in the kitchen is already a plus, till you order something and you realise everything is really Italian! I took a great pizza with burrata and a beer, a coffee (original Italian one!). The digestive was offered (soooo kind!) And I paid 15â¬: I cannot believe this place is pointed out by some as expensive! Menu in German and English. Say what you want but this was the only full place in town, while many other restaurants were almost empty, call for a table if you don't want to wait! Lovely

The entrance at the back of Karstadt shopping mall looks a bit odd but us soon you arrive at Il Monastero on 2nd floor the medieval ambience really hits you. For us the layout, design and decoration was the highlight of the evening as the food at all was a bit flat in taste. Nothing special worth to keep in good memory and no reason to return. We had some platter with mixed sea food. The restaurant wasn't really crowded on this weekday so we were surprised that the waitress ongoing brought some wrong staff. We also had the feeling that the staff went over the top by ongoing asking if anything else could be served. This disturbed a bit our lively discussion with friends we haven't seen for a long time. We have chosen Il Monastero for this special occasion and left a bit disappointed about the food. For the decoration we would come back at any time, but maybe only for a drink and some basic finger food.

Really nice and stylish ambiente, clean and charming. Service made an impression of caring Italian family. Complimentary bruschetta as a starter - nice. Also, decent house wine suggestion. Free WiFi. Food: linguine with veal meat balls - yummy, al dente as it should be, tender fresh meat. Espresso/capuccino - lovely. Highly recommended.

There were 5 people in my party so each one gave their feedback. Pasta with seafood, bolognese, pizza and my order was penne arrabbiata were delicious. Pets are allowed inside. Meals took a while to serve, perhaps due to a large crowd. It is a tight space.Price is fair.

Stopped for a quick late dinner on my way from Therme to my hotel. This was the only restaurant on my way open that late (after 22:00). The waiter spoke Italian which added to a fine Italian atmosphere in the pizzeria. I would prefer not to be there alone as it is very nice place for a dinner with friends or family. I had Pizza salame which was quite fine and a great Hacken-Pschorr weissbier. Didn't spend much time there but overall impression is very good.

We got the tip on this place from a shop lady and were very very glad we could get in. Lots of homemade pasta, home made mozzarella and great wine. Service was super friendly and you could have small or large serves. No one was unhappy with their meal. The stuffed zucchini flowers were a highlight.

Me and my family had been on the road for 5 hours travelling back from Slovenia so we were more than ready for something to eat when we arrived. The staff are lovely and friendly. The language barrier wasnt a problem although between us, we spoke limited german and they limited english which really wasn't a problem. The staff even took time out to converse with the kids. The food didnt take very long to arrive, which was great as we were all starving. The portions are HUGE. The kids (7 & 9 years) shared a pizza and there was plenty with nothing left over. The pizza was perfect. Lovely fresh base with plenty of topping. The lasagne was again huge, plenty of cheese and really good. Love the garlic oil and the chilli oil to sprinkle on top. Not something they do in the UK. Will be trying that myself. The tiramisu was delicious, not too strong on the coffee. Fully recommend the capacino & latte these were excellent.

We had booked a night at the San Gabriel Hotel, which is an experience in itself, again work a detour, and the restaurant is part of the building. The premises are just unique, food served by waiters dressed like monks. The restaurant has so many different nooks and crannies: apparently a converted convent or monastery, but it has been so well done.Asparagus season, and the taste was sublime with hollandaise sauce and olive oil. Main courses, prawns, meat, pasta were packed full of flavour.Cost was very reasonable. Good wine selection.A must do experience.

It began with a nice welcome by the chef and his offer of the specials of the day. The menu is not big but outstanding. You can't find grey gurnard or grey mullet very often on a menu especially in Bavaria. And both are very well presented and absolutely top prepared. It was a wonderful meal. Also the dessert was fine, Sachertorte with some whipped cream on the side. We will go tomorrow again and are really looking forward to it.

Rather small restaurant not far from the market place. We had a limited luncheon for a small appetite, with a nice spaghetti bolognese with lamb with light Italian white wine from Orvieto. Tasted very nice at a tiny but relaxed terrace. They have a small card but varied daily menu. And the waiter was very helpful. Prices are okay.
