I showed them a photo of a king crab pasta dish that wasnât on the menu and they made it for me ( we waiting a little longer, but worth it!!) We also had the seafood risotto - you wonât be disappointed.

Don't worry from the outside look, from inside it's very clean and very good food and the staff are very nice and kind, must go if you are nearby

Read excellent reviews and decided to seek this restaurant out for our final night out in Italy. We were not disappointed. I can honestly say the entire experience was amazing, the waiter was so helpful and informative. We too had the best tasting experience of Italian food we have ever had in Italy or authentic Italian restaurants in the UK. If youâre in the area, itâs a must. A word of advice, itâs situated in a little shopping area off the main square. You can park for 50c an hour just down the road and walk back up. Iâve posted pics of the signage outside the centre to help. Enjoy

We were staying at La Sonrisa hotel across the road from this resturant and had been a little disappointed by the dinner fare there so we headed down the end of the drive, crossed the street and wandered into this place...we ate there every night for the rest of our stay! It was perfect for a family with four rambunctious children who loved playing table football, whilst the adults sat and enjoyed the local wine served with peaches. The lady who owns this place, and does all the cooking, speaks English and has a wonderful sense of humour. She made us feel exceptionally welcome, and we found a much warmer reception here than at the hotel. The food was delicious, and plentiful. The tables outside were under a leafy awning, and were lit up at night (but wear mosquito repellant if you tend to attract them), and there is also lots of indoor seating if it's raining. Don't come here expecting either a quick or fancy meal - this place is all about enjoying the ambience, chatting with your conmpanions, and relaxing Italian style.

We had such a lovely dinner here, the food is amazing and I was moved by the tomato sauce. So tasty. Our waiter Luigi was very friendly and talkative (he gave us advice about what to order). We spent very little and we ate very much :-) a must visit if you are in the area! ps try the "turbante ai porcini"!

Limited menu, ESP for fussy children. Food ok but chips undercooked. Pork chop was lovely. Waiter service great. Got Nutella for kids. Unfortunately stopped them eating dinner. Wine choice v limited and didn't really rate the house white.

Dinner at Villa Palmentiello was an unforgettable experience. The first words of appreciation go to the Maître de Salle. Kind, friendly and knowledgeable! Well beyond knowledge. Putting passion, pleasure, heart and soul into his métier. The food was fabulous, presented to the most accurate detail and, as the dishes would come to the table, the Maître de Salle would be there, explaining the dish and giving suggestions. The wine and many of the products used in the preparation of the meal were produced locally, at the property, as this is an "agriturismo". The supporting staff were very professional and efficient, attentive to our needs and committed to making the evening a very special occasion. The view is fantastic. Our thanks and congratulations to the Maître de Salle, the Chef and the supporting staff for this unforgettable evening. Highly recommended!

After a long day climbing the Vesuvius, we found this great place to have dinner. We have eaten our best pizzas in Italy and the service was perfect : Giuseppe has been a great advisor (moreover in French) for our meals. The value for money is really good.Strongly recommend and we will be happy to come back again!Dear guest,we thank you for choosing us. These words are an additional incentive to do better for our customers: when every single detail of the Pizzeria Mercato Pompeiano is appreciated, we can only feel gratified and try to offer an increasingly unique experience. See you soon.La direzione - Pizzeria Mercato Pompeiano

"Caupona" (means restaurant in Latin), just like in ancient Pompeii existed long cauponae 89, the most famous is that of Lucio Vetuzio Placido, one we faithfully reconstructed, perfectly decorated with hand-third style frescoes and meticulously reproduced
We came here for lunch after a morning visiting the ruins at Pompeii. The reviews are all wonderful but it didn't really live up to the hype. It was quiet for lunch (apart from a group leaving and shouting "don't order anything here, it's not fresh!" - not a great start!) and the costumes came across as a bit tacky. The food was pretty poor - my ravioli dish was lacking in flavour and a bit stodgy. We were also left waiting 43 minutes (I know this as we had set a 45 minute limit before we walk out!) for our food - two pasta dishes! They did try to get us to order a starter as the pasta would take awhile to cook (?) so I got the impression that we were being made to wait on purpose. I can see how this place might be a bit of fun on a busy night but I wouldn't be going back to see!Dear, always thank our customers for having preferred us and for the time you have wanted to spend with us ... leave an honest review, a suggestion, an impression makes us pleasure and improves us under many points of view ...get a bad review, we regret very much, as Caupona manager apologize for the unfortunate experience you have had with us and I would really like to understand better what we have lost in our customer care satisfaction. The thing we regret the most is that you have not met your expectations, do not understand how this could have happened ...we try to give our best at all times, even very outdated business hours, if there are any mistakes, we are ready at any time to correct ... is our philosophyâ¦We are really sorry this happened and very sorry of your disappointment, especially that you thought the food was not all 'height ...try to give more and better, and at all times, we strive to improve in every way, every day, and every time ... thanks
