I have visited this store on many occasions and always enjoy shopping there. It is an absolutely fantastic store to buy specialty items...or to just sit down and have a glass of wine, spritz or assorted meats and cheeses. It is a family-run store and all are very hospitable and helpful. This bottega is a specialty store, not a discount store. The products they sell are the finest available specialty products of Tuscany...whether from dried pasta's to all manner of sauces, meats to cheeses, oils, wines and candies. It is a great store to browse in, buy gifts for friends back home, or just sit either inside or out and have a glass of wine or a spritz.....to wash down the delicious cheese and prosciutto platter they can make you!!If you visit San Quirico d'Orcia, I highly suggest a stop at this wonderful store!!

Stopped for a light lunch and was able to be seated outside. We each had a pasta dish and both were very good. A good choice.

The whole experience was marred by the terrible service. We waited 20 minutes to be served (only three other couples in the restaurant) and our food took another 30 minutes to arrive. Our waitress was rude and couldn't provide guidance on the food and wine. Our meals were well executed and very tasty, however, we wouldn't return, there are far many good restaurants in San Quirico that offer excellent food and service.

After three years we had been anxious togo back. We again had impeccable service. The restaurant is lovely with actual linen tablecloths. A lovely amuse Bouche of a mini caprese was presented along with excellent focaccia. The tagliolini with truffles was sublime as was the veal with truffles. The octopus was the most tender we have eaten, The cassata dessert with ice cream was delicious and beautiful. Really the quality in this restaurant cannot be-beat. Lovely wines available, try the local Orcia red from Bagnaia. My only regret is that we didnât go twice, next time I will have seafood.

This is where the locals eat, no nonsense pizza & pasta of all sorts . One can even get fish & chips . beside petrol station. Try liver terrine and strips of tender beef called tagliata with pasta or chips . They have home cooked pastry tarts .quick service and cheap .Thank you, thank you and thanks again for your wonderful review.See you soon...Luca and the staff

We decided last minute to dine in San Quirico. We were a large group of 16, so we werenât sure we could find a place. But at Vecchio Forno we were quickly welcomed. Our dinner was excellent. Ate one of the best caccio e pepe of my life. Everything was great, from the welcoming service, the bustling ambiance to the simple traditional fare.

The Fonte alla Vena Inn is a warm and welcoming restaurant in an ancient building of historical importance which has recently been renovated. It is on the Cassia Road, close to the village of San Quirico d'Orcia close to Montalcino , Motepulciano and only
Pleasant service, lovely atmosphere. Delicious cheese breadsticks. Unusual menu, loved the duck tagliatelle with orange. Anchovyâs were good for those who enjoy them, beautifully presented. Nice wines available by the class. Excellent Banfi white. Unfortunately the ribs while unusual with honey were devoid of hardly any meat. Very disappointing. The desserts were average.

Just wanted a quick pit stop meal, and saw this small place with its interesting menus on chalkboards outside, and a table in the street opened up so we pounced, and were glad we did. The waiter had good English, nd we were able to chat a little. The wine was tempting but as I was driving I stuck to Water. My wife had a very good Duck Salad, good flavour and good portion, and I had an anchovy and pesto Bruschetta. Really tasty. Recommended

It's a local delicatessen. Very small place - we ate plates of local cheese and sausage. It was great. The people there were extremely nice and gave us explanations regarding out order. I highly recommend the place - a true and very nice taste of the area.

The pizza in the area is the best without any doubt! All of the ingredients are stop quality as well as those for spaghetti. Aldo very good location and service. Strongly recommended.
