This great little restaurant in the backstreets of Grenoble is not disappointing, however given the broad choice on offer throughout this multi-cultural city, l'Arome shoots for the stars and hits the moon.Dont get me wrong, the food is delicious, well presented & correctly served, its just that it tries to attain a level that it just hasnt quite reached yet. The prices are a little on the steep side given the meal portions, but the quality cannot be faulted. Try it out for yourself & decide. I wouldnt put this on my "must dine" list for Grenoble, in my opinion there is better at a better price elsewhere.

First, when you see this little place just down from the Chateau de la Commanderie, you may think it's just one more pizza joint. Just go inside, and prepare to be in for an incredible surprise. The food is more than just delicious ! It's more than what you ever tasted before. Sweet and just spicy enough and soooo wonderful you want to know what are the secrets of the chief !!The service is quick and efficient, the owners and staff all really nice

This restaurant is just what rue Brocherie needs to boost the atmosphere from kind of slummy to something with a little class. Rue Brocherie is dirty and filled with bars and drunk students which leads to disgusting smells. This restaurant is located in what used to be a down trodden food store that sold who knows what. It's just lovely inside, beautiful stone walls , the decorations are very tastefully done. I ate here a few days after it opened. The staff are extremely nice and courteous and the food is delish ! I ordered a take way meal and had a drink while I was waiting for my meal. I had a veggie burger and it was delish ! The owner is the owner of the Cotellette just around the corner, so he knows this neighborhood and is invested in the this area. It's not a fly by night place. Good work !

I went at Sicily for some business launch. The restaurant is nice looking, close to the river. The staff is all Italian. The food is excellent with clear focus on Sicily cousin, but they serve also other Italian food. Pasta with swordfish was excellent, like the Cannolo I had for dessert, made by their chef. I did not try their wine selection as we don't usually drink alcohol at lunchtime. A definite must, if you are in Grenoble, and like the Italian cuisine.

At each time I go there, I become more surprised. The food was always delicious and it is pretty cheap. The pizza there is very good. I would recommend the Ruccola con Buffala (or something like this). Moreover, there is a pizza that is half Calzone, that is very good. The pasta are all perfect as well. And the best thing: The menu is not worse or more expensive on sundays, as most french restaurants!

After trying several other restaurants in the area, I may say this is ( by far ) the best ! Not only that the staff is helpful and make you feel welcome and nice, but the plates are incredibly tasteful. Ingredients are simple, natural and of very good quality, preparation is at its best, atmosphere is great. We returned already and will come for sure, each time we'll be in town ! Congratulations for a very very good job ! Hope to see you again, soon !

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times in the past. All these times I had both pasta and dessert. While the pasta is exceptional I cannot say the same thing for the dessert. Last time I had tiramisu and albeit it's simplicity I did not like it. Another thing is that I find the service of the restaurant not very polite and sometimes even rude. Finally as it is hard to find a table you have to book several days in advance. Summarizing, very good pasta, probably the best I have had in the city but average desserts and service.

We visited on a recommendation from a friend... no disappointmentsThe Restaurant is in a calmer part of town, not too far from the museums. There is no outdoor option, but the inside is clean and has a good ambiance. The welcome was great, and we felt at home straight away. The choice on the menu is limited - it is Italian in influence, and the choice is mostly fish and vegetarian - there was no meat option on the night we visited. But - you do need to consult the specials board for the daily options. Another point is that this is not a pizza restaurant. Think pasta and Mediterranean What we chose (calamari and pasta in the group) was very good, well presented. Followed with home made panacotta and limoncello, we were very happy. A great experience, we will be back.
