Casual pizzeria serving authentic Neapolitan pizzas and street food alongside craft beers, cocktails and wines.
What does the best pizza in Sheffield taste like? Well, it's not necessarily about which one is the best pizza. It's about whether you can achieve a real, authentic Neapolitan in your restaurant. Napoli Centro achieves that and more. A Napoli style oven? They've got it. Cheese sourced from Campania? Got it. San Marzano tomatoes? Got'em. Authentic Italian ingredients? Got'em.The acidity of the tomatoes, the sweetness of the fior di latte, the freshness of the basil, and you've got the magic of pizza in less than 2 minutes, in the form of the Italian flag, as they served it on a plate to Queen Margherita in the 19th century, or as some say, as they were already making it in Napoli since the 18th century.Charred bottom, chewy dough and airy crust. It's all about the dough, and then it's not really all about the dough, because the rest of the ingredients are just as stellar. It's just that the dough is where all the knowledge and skill come into play, and what differentiates a second rate pizza, which is sadly almost all of the pizza that's not Italian pizza, from the Holy Grail.Getting a Neapolitan right is the best pizza can get. And they get it so right. That's the way it is. The only way it should be.

Welcome to VeroGusto, our family-run, authentic and award-winning Italian restaurant and caffé, right in the heart of Sheffield city centre. We're passionate about great food, wine and hospitality, and so are our customers who have enjoyed our fare since
Veragusto is not a cheap Italian. It is subtly understated on first viewing form outside. Inside it is modern and refined. The menu at first glance looks familiar but, on second and third glance it has freshness nd interest and vitality. Subtle and unxpected takes on traditional Italian menus. It is not fine dining prices but you do pay more for a lovely dining experience and some great tastes form the kitchen. The wine list has an interesting range - the lowest bottle is around the £20 - an interesting Planeta form Sicily is another £10 - so not over-priced. The food was excellent - a fish nd seafood broth was beautifully prepared and tasted rich and perfectly balanced. Service was attentive and friendly without being at all fussy or over formal. I would eat here again and again.

At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We donât do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. Weâre all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food. Our restaurant in Meadowhall shopping cent
Well I have just read a few reviews before posting my own......so we werenât The only people who were kept waiting ......if this is a common occurrence Iâm surprised anyone bothers returning.......I know I wonât! My friend and I decided to call for lunch after visiting the cinema. We stood at the entrance for well over five minutes....without so much as an acknowledgement! If someoneâs had looked over and said....will be with you soon.....then I would have waited...but no...nothing. One chap was leaning over a table for two very nearby just chanting away....no menus in sight.....so Obviously just chatting. It wasnât particularly busy or full? Then one girl who I thought was heading our way decided to stop to chat to a baby who was with two ladies .....they didnât call her over......so Iâm sorry but being ignored we decided you didnât deserve our custom! We went along to Frankie and Benny's..greeted immediately....and they were busy too......served by two wonderful friendly young men...had a lovely meal too! To be honest maybe you did us a favour...because reading the comments from others it appears the staff are quite rude anyway! I certainly will not even think of visiting again and suggest the people in charge have a long hard look at how this place is run.....obviously not very well!

Neapolitan Pizza & Streetfood
6 of us ate here last week. Service was slow even though the restaurant was only 1/3rd full. Need more staff!I had the Neptune pizza, which if you look at the menu anchovies are the 2nd listed ingredient, but there was literally 1 anchovy chopped up and hidden. I complained and was told there were anchovies on the pizza, the server even pointed to the âpiecesâ dotted around the pizza. Could be a good place thatâs not too âchainâ restaurant drivenHi Richard, After reading this i spoke to my team on shift and send my apologies, personally the best thing we could have done is create you a new one with lots of anchovies. The way we serve the pizzas sometimes the anchovies hide under our sauce or other toppings as the way we cook them means we have to have them thinly sliced. However as a customer i would expect your comments to be heard and my team should take this feedback and fix it there and then so my apologies again for this. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with myself by emailing [email protected]. I do hope you give us another try and turn this 3 star experience into a 5. I would like to thank you for taking your time to review us as every bit of feedback is so helpful to us. As an independent we want to know how our customers are feeling, what they love and what they donât. So any feedback is welcome!Kind regards,Tori- General Manager

We went today, and honestly me and my partner will not be returning. The starter was okay, but could tell it was frozen. The main was awful, you could tell the chicken was frozen and just dry and horrible. Will not be returning Lily508, we're disappointed to hear you had a bad experience with us. I would like to know more detail about your visit if you are able to email me at [email protected] to discuss this further Many thanksTom WilkinsonCarluccio's Meadowhall

Six of us visited here for dinner on a Saturday night. We all had starters....calamares,prawns,bruschetta,girella,carpaccio beef and mushrooms. My self and my husband had cod loin which was beautiful. Others had monkfish, salmon, and spaghetti carbonara....all looked lovely. One couple shared a very nice looking chocolate dessert too. Plenty of Sauvignon blanc and peroni ....as well as water! Our friends agreed the meal was wonderful.....this being their first visit. Yet again another wonderful meal served by very friendly staff.

Bella Italia have over 100 Italian restaurants across the UK serving pizza, pasta, Italian classics and more, made with ingredients from Italian-family producers.
I attended today (23rd October 2019) with my friend, and our daughters. As we were sitting down, my friends little girl projectile vomited all over the table and floor which, took us by shock. Simon, the really lovely manager made us feel like it wasnât a big deal and got to cleaning it up straight away, and was very calm about it, even though me and my friend were both flapping around. My daughter was also wanting to help him and he was really patient with her even though she wasnât helping much (as 3 year olds are!) We were planning on eating in, and even after cleaning up, Simon offered us another table but we decided that it was the safer option to take away instead. My friend had a 40% discount on main meals, which excludes the takeaway service, however because of the incident, Simon still allowed us to have the discount, which we were both really grateful for! Really really impressed with how we were dealt with and treated, thankyou Simon! From Olivia, Alex and the girls x

Visited Elupo's. Food good quality but not exceptional. High prices compared to other Italian restaurants serving just as good food and in nicer surroundings outside and inside.Service only average. - not enough staff, therefore having to remind staff to bring condiments by which time food had gone cold. Then had to get up out of seat to fetch them myself as they continued to forget as too short staffed.Saw staff auguing amongst themselves. Girl on the bar decided to shout across the restaurant at a male for something she was unhappy with. Then saw waitress lick the icecream off a spoon she was serving.Overall not impressed.Dear Gail78, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We appreciate that it means a lot to you, having now received it from you more than once, although we do wish that you had given it to us on the night of your visit. Naturally, it can be difficult to spot when an individual is disappointed when we see clean plates and smiling faces. We are pleased that you have commented on our food being good, although we find it difficult to reconcile your comment in connection with our prices, which are at the bottom end of the scale when considered in the context of other, similar types of eatery in the area. We can see that you have reviewed a large chain restaurant more favourably. Big companies with multiple sites who can afford to buy bulk produce which requires less preparation can, and often do, charge less. That isnât what we are though. We pride ourselves on serving freshly prepared, lovingly made and locally sourced authentic food. As for our surroundings, we appreciate that we may not be as fancy as you might be used to. We canât apologise for who we are. Our focus has always been on being friendly and serving good food, not on being fancy. We are a small, family run restaurant and so problems do occur from time to time, especially at peak times, such as weekends when, as you will have witnessed, are always full to capacity. As we explained, we had one staff member less than usual on Saturday due to circumstances beyond our control. These things can and do happen. Thankfully, they happen rarely.Because we are so busy and we have an open kitchen, it can get rather loud at times, especially from the laughter and good conversation that our guests and staff enjoy. They will, at times, need to speak to one another loudly. For over 30 years now we have been serving happy customers, the majority of whom have been very understanding of this. We are sorry that you find yourself in the exception. We arenât sure what condiments you are referring to in your review. All of our condiments are kept in our kitchen and so if you did have to enter the kitchen to get your own, we would be surprised, as customers are not allowed. The only thing that we keep front of house is our rather large pepper mill, which would would certainly have added some heat, if your food had not been to your desired temperature. Finally, we hate to see any unsold desserts go to waste and so we do encourage staff to enjoy a taste of anything delicious that might be going spare from time to time - especially our home made cheesecake on Saturday nights as any fresh dairy items will not keep until we re-open the following week. We are sure you wouldnât deny them that. After all, they have worked exceptionally hard to ensure that we have received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years and a 5 star hygiene certificate. We think that certainly deserves a sweet treat. Again, we recognise the time that you have taken to leave your comments more than once and we value all of our customers and their feedback. If you feel that you need to repeat anything again, please do telephone us and will be more than happy to listen to your concerns. With very best wishes, The EâLupoâs Family
