Restaurant with italian and mediterranean cookery, choise wines and beers nearby the City Center of Ratingen.
This was the best meal we have had in Europe! The waiter was wonderful. His English was very good and he was very helpful. The menu is only in German. He was very patient t o translate for us. We ended up having a filet with asparagus. It was asparagus season and it was highly recommended. The filet was cooked perfectly and the asparagus was seasoned very well. We started out with the bruschetta; it was wonderful. I don't think I have every had bruschetta as delicious. All the tables are covered with red and white checked table clothes so you feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. The Riesling was crisp and delicious and I felt like I was in a romance novel the entire meal. This is a lovely restaurant and you should definitely give it a try.
Welcome to Gordons! Here you will find carefully selected wines, delicious tarte flambée, salads, small desserts and much more.
A tiny and cosy restaurant. We had a Rump steak and a Trüffel Pasta (no sliced Truffle on the pasta, so it looks simple). Both are delicious and pricewise reasonable. We love to come back again!

This is the place, where I used to go for more than 30 years now. But lately (since the Lumare family are the hosts) we experience a hospitality, which is hard to find anywhere. The heartful atmosphere, given by the entire family and staff, can't be beaten.Food, cooked with ambition, combined with the perfect service, makes you feel home, when you come here, always! This is the place to feel fine, no matter, how old you are (6 months, or 90 years), no matter, what your heritage is. Everyone is welcome, any time, except mondays (closed)Even hosts have the right for a "day off".

Iâd probably rank this restaurant more like a 3.5. The food was mostly okay though some people in our party were unimpressed. The restaurant is in a shopping area. It has some outdoor seating that seems to be near a pedestrian zone but actually has quite a bit of traffic because there is also an alley/parking lot too. Customers can park in the pay garage next door. Service was friendly but not super attentive. They seemed to be short-staffed.

Very good restaurant with a wide variety of dishes. Went there with a group of 12 and we were all very satisfied with the quality of the dishes. Service was quite quick and the waiter was very friendly and patient (which is needed when taking orders from a group of 12).Appetizers and main dishes did not disappoint. Meat as well as fish dishes were flavorful and well prepared. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars had the wines not been disappointing. We tried 2 different Italian wines (recommended by the waiter) but I found them to be disappointing and too expensive for what they were. Other than that, no negative remarks whatsoever. If you're looking for a good Italian restaurant in Ratingen, this is it.

We ate here midweek during a busy showtime at the Dusseldorf Messe. Consequently the restaurant was full and we were offered seats in the walled garden out the back. It was covered and heated by patio heaters which was fine for me though others might have been cold in 12C. In fact it was rather hot and stuffy in the crowded restaurant for my preference. The service, food and drinks were all very good, though not the best Italian that I have had.For me the name suggested a Greek restaurant, but it was definitely Italian. Only a short walk from the Relexa Ratingen City Hotel.

I enjoyed a meal with colleagues at the San Marco where I was impressed by both the quality of the food as well as the attentiveness of the service. I noticed that the restaurant was quite busy and I imagine it would be wise to reserve a table if possible.

We just happened to find Lâolivo by chance, as we had a friend staying overnight close by. What a pleasant surprise. Good service, friendly atmosphere and excellent food. It is a small cosy restaurant, where the chef takes the trouble to visit with his patrons. Affordable and a most enjoyable evening. We will definitely be back
