Sevilla, the latest gourmet addition to Magneto, the coolest mall in Raipur city, has been on Khanabadosh's review list since it opened a few months back. It replaced Copper Chimney. A multi-cuisine restaurant with a chic and classy decor, Sevilla sure charms as you step in your foot, although the charm of Copper Chimney also lingers in its decor. A unit of Club Paraiso, Sevilla is probably one of the few places in the city that features lamb dishes on its menu. The restaurant is spacious enough and can house around 45-50 people at once. A group of 10, we had no difficulty fitting in together. The menu features selections from Indian, Italian and Chinese cuisines. We had our focus on the Indian menu for this visit. Before we get into the food review, the servers at Sevilla deserve a special mention for their affable courtesy, knowledge about the menu and the wit to suggest favorites from it, as well as the polite manner to get excused for not being able to serve something that was ordered. Having delved into the menu we began with soups and starters. Four soups were ordered viz. Crema de Verdure, Sevilla Special (veg), Chicken Tomyum and Chicken Wanton. Out of the four, only Crema de Verdure i.e. Cream of Vegetables soup stood out as extraordinary. The cream screamed freshness and all the flavors were perfectly balanced. We loved it. Sevilla Special received mixed reviews. We did ask for Chicken Tomyum but what we got, in fact, was Chicken Talumein, of which we didn't think highly. As for Chicken Wanton Soup, let's just say we won't be ordering that at Sevilla any time again. For starters, Sevilla Special Mixed Tikka Platter Tandoor was ordered, which caught us in glee only for its presentation. The tikkas, still on the sticks were brought to the table in a smoking mini tandoor with hot coal at its bottom. The excitement of this soon died out upon tasting the otherwise mediocre paneer, mushroom, gobhi tikkas. Non vegetarian starters, Fish Tikka and Murg Banjara, were only slightly better than their vegetarian counterpart. Fish Tikka was juicy, succulent and melted in the mouth but lacked in over all flavor. Murg Banjara seemed to be presented as its name, shaped unevenly like mountain terrains, slightly charred and smeared with green chutney, and a little tough too. BTW, the green chutney was also only average in taste. We also had the Veg Russian Salad which didn't leave much of an impression on us. Mains for vegetarians included Veg Chulbuli, Palak Corn, Dal Makhani and Dal Tadka. The only one that stood out was Veg Chulbuli, which had a great keema like gravy of vegetables and finely chopped paneer, carrots and beans. It was liked so much by all that the vegetarians too hogged upon it and another serving of it had to be ordered. That rarely happens! Palak corn had well pronounced flavors, was slightly spicier than usual and a tad bit oily. Dal Makhani and Dal Tadka were fine. A lot of other restaurants in the city would serve better versions of these dals to you. The non-vegetarians wanted to have Butter Chicken but the kitchen was out of curd. We were suggested Chicken Lababdar with high praise, off menu, but it wasn't worth it. The gravy lacked flavor balance, rather it lacked flavor at all. The chicken too was bland. The roti selection included the usual naan and fulkas which were good. What's new was the Indian bread called Sheermaal. It is a naan stuffed with chicken bits and garlic. It sounded interesting but upon tasting we realized it could have been skipped. Jeera Rice was pretty standard.By this time we had eaten so much that there was no room for desserts but the Manager sent us complimentary ice creams. And boy, were we delighted to down some thing cold after all the masala! It is also a point to note that the whole meal took us 3 hours and were it not for the fact that we were watching India crush Pakistan in the cricket match, the long, long waiting time would have most definitely annoyed us. The official Khanabadosh rating for an Indian lunch at Sevilla is 2/5. I recently visited this so that i can review this.Newely opened trying to meet the expectation of local crowd but unfortunately has alo of competition by pure veg restaurants specially.Can always be given a try.

Located at Tagore Nagar, Raipur. Recently I have gone there while I went to Raipur for business meeting. Nice Cafe cum Restora. Tried their pizza, burger and hot coffee. Though it is a small cafe but well maintained. Nice food, good ambience, great service.

The hotel in Raipur has a great setting with the lotus pond near the entrance a major attraction. Rooms are well designed with good furnishings and especially the bed and pillows are great. The only dampener is the food quality as I had expected it to be much better. I had stayed in their Indore property and the food was awesome. Raipur needs to do a lot of catching up in the menu and taste.

Located at main road, near Mata garage Raipur. Fine dine, good ambience. Nice seating arrangements and good service. Ordered Mixed chowmin and chilli mashroom. Finger licking taste. The manager as well as waiters were very impressive behaviour. Five star to Flavours.

As the name suggest "Godwit", modern day nomad who is ready to explore and meet new people, this place gave found us. The chef has not only bought fusion, but also blended the flavours of Indo - Western to bring a beautiful twist. We tried their Salt and Pepper corn and chestnut, Spicy Popsicle,Kerala Mushroom Puff Tarts, Sukhdev's Biriyani, Vanilla and Hazelnut Creme Blended Mocha, Watermelon slush and custom made Vegetable Saute. What I loved the best was the staff was friendly and was ready to serve to it's customers. We wanted to have broccoli with vegetables sauteed in olive oil. They made it Specially for us. The place has soft music which created a lighter mood in the mid afternoon. This really set tone for the day. Thanks to chef for making our day. thanks to the staff for being friendly and patiently waiting for us to order. I would give it 5 for everything.

It's a very good place for dinner.Clean and tidy arena for sitting, quicker service, nicely speaking staff.Also have it's parking area.Though it is a bit costly but one must give a try.
