It can get quite busy at times, but definitely worth it, the food is good and the prices are very very OK. Especially the chicken is definitely worth having.

I had a risotto with pine flavor, which really did taste like that, and a bone ham (stinco di maiale) -- very tender and an enormous portion. All dishes were elegantly and creatively presented. Service was quick, perhaps even too quick, prices are very reasonable. We enjoyed being out of the town center, although the location next to a camping is not particularly attractive.

This is one of three restaurants when arriving up hill at Ciampedie in Vigo di Fassa. First of all the service is great, friendly, attentive, fast even during busy lunch hours, multilingual. The menu is full of local foods, a lot prepared by the restaurant (pasta, sausage, grappa, bread and more). We started with an aperitivo (apparel spritz and hugo) which was served with a deluxe plate of little snacks (friend slices pancetta, tasty croutons of a dark bread and a snack filled with local cheese. We had an amazing platter of different cuts of meat and local cheeses and had a great wine to go with it. It came served with some baked potatoes and preserved vegetables, and of course a basket of bread. We sat outside in the sun enjoying the amazing view and the food. We had a great time. At the end we were treated to some home made grappa: amazing!

We had grilled fish, which was very well prepared and elegantly served. The waiter offered to carve the fish for us, which we did not need, but appreciated. The service was rapid, even a bit rushed. Perhaps they planned on seating other guests after us. The dessert, tiramisù with mille-feuille, was a grandiose conclusion.

We went to Salin straight from the slopes - hungry and a bit tired. We read the reviews earlier on but on the spot we did not expect such great pizza! It was very tasty, big and with a crunchy cake. As group of 5 people we ordered 4 different pizzas and it was a perfect choice! All of them were simply good and every bit tasted great. Add house wine and you have a perfect meal! I warmly Recommend you Pizzeria Salin!

We came here on our "day off" from doing more extreme stuff in the area. As it's only 1km away from the villages, we expected Malga Aloch to be rather tame in comparison to the more distant establishments. However we ended up staying for much of the afternoon, mostly because of the apple strudel demonstration at 4pm. Service a little slow, but then again we weren't in a hurry. For luch we ate on the large wooden terrace overlooking Vigo di Fassa. Food was good - I had a polenta and mushroom combination followed by a local yougurt with nuts and honey. This was clearly a popular place for families and for people wanting a shorter walk than many offered in the area.

Quite a few refined dishes in this cute restaurant. The complimentary bead basket offers several appealing options to go with the very good olive oil and whipped butter. A couple of varieties of bread were a little under-baked.Tagliolini with truffle featured perfectly elastic, high quality pasta, cooked just right. The truffle shavings were few but intense. In the other primo, canederli were elegant and soft, and the accompanying beetroot mousse/espuma was intense - but the star of this dish was the cheese (I think Trentingrana)!A main of venison was good, the meat tender,. But it was not well trimmed, with some gristle remaining, and also it was forming a pool of bloody fluid since it had not been well rested. The advertised pine-nuts were not in evidence, but there was an excellent pumpkin puree and spinach as garnish. The other main was vegetarian, a very tender cabbage leaf filled with creamy (goat) cheese, and some delicious panfried ceps.Desserts were modern, captivating versions of the old classics, tiramisu and pannacotta. All good, balanced and light, though the pannacotta was on the heavy side.Prices tend to be a little high for the region, but on the other hand the quality was very good. What was a little annoying was that they were higher than what was advertised on the website, not a good practice I think. On the other hand I appreciated that wines are very fairly priced. Service was cheerful, energetic and efficient. On my experience this is one of the best choices in the area in its price category.

We stopped and had a late lunch outdoors at the White Wolf. Breathtaking scenery, beautiful weather, great service. And the food! The food shows the cross-country heritage of a place that might be equal parts Italy, Germany and Austria. My grigliata mista was quite good, but the absolute hit of the meal was the polenta con formaggio & fughi. Grilled perfectly, with the tiniest bit of crust, there was just the right mix of crunch and melt-in-your-mouth lusciousness in every single bite. In our family, we tend to share a few bites of everyone's meal, but today it was practically a showdown as to who would get the most of this wonderful delight! Oh, and did I mention the scenery? Wow. We loved our stop at the Wellness Hotel!
