Worthington, OH is full of great attractions: The McConnell Arts Center, the historic Orange Johnson House, the Old Rectory, and everybody's favorite Italian restaurant, Buca di Beppo! As the top destination for delicious Italian pastas, entrees, and pizz
We decided to see what all the hype was about with this place. This was the worst Italian food I have ever had. Our server John was a mediocre server at best. Totally lacking in the social skills to be a server. I watched the bartender sit on a counter with his back to the tables so he could watch tv. Totally unethical and unprofessional. The lasagna we ordered was dried out and tasteless. The bread was edible but the olive oil tasted old. Unfortunately we should have skipped dessert. We ordered the Tiramisu, it was the worst I have ever had. It was not light and creamy like any Tiramisu is, if made correctly. This one was mushy and on the dry side. Then to top it all of it rained while we were eatting, which should have been no big deal, but when we walked out to the parking lot it was flooded in a big area where we had parked. The water was to the bottom of the doors of our car. 8 other customers witnessed this and had even commented about how ridiculous this was. My husband had to take his socks and shoes off and roll up his pant legs as best as possible to get to our car. So beware if you go while it rains, this could happen to you also. We will NEVER set foot back in this place again. james6764, we are concerned to hear this and would like to reach you. We wanted a quick and good carry out meal to take to a nearby assisted living facility. We ordered salad, lasagna and baked penne. It was very good. The extra sauce was a yummy, thick meat sauce.
This will test your memory if you have been a long time local in the Columbus area. For many a year, Leonardo's Pizza was the gold standard for pizza in the Columbus. They are long gone, but not forgotten. Carlucci's is the closest you will get to that quality pizza, and that makes them them #1 in my book for pizza in Columbus. The pizza has a thin crust, the red sauce has a hint of a spicy note and cheese and toppings are all fresh. Pepperoni is not cut razor thin, so when you order a pepperoni pizza, you will actually taste the pepperoni! There are Italian herbs added as a final touch, overall very pleasing flavor. Carlucci's has expanded the menu from the previous owners (ex Peppercini's Pizza) and I wish I could review more of many choices such as pasta's, stromboli, subs and munchies. But we are stuck on the pizzas. We have also had the salads and a few appetizers, can speak highly for the potato skins and the antipasto salad. Even when the place is crazy busy (Friday and Saturday night) the owner and the staff are very pleasant. There are only a couple tables for in house dining, and there is a limited delivery in the north end of Columbus/Powell. I always pick up my order, I drive by seven pizza joints to get there.... any questions?

I enjoy going to Rita's Ice Cream with my son/daughter and their friends. Columbus has a lot of great choices for ice cream, custard, and frozen yogurt. What I enjoy about Rita's is their Swedish Fish Gelati (they have about 5 options). Others enjoy their Italian Ice and frozen custard, but my experience has always been the Gelati for good reason. The inside is small and there are about 4 park benches outside. It's a nice place to stop by now and then.

If you are looking for good New York style, foldable pizza; then this is your place. By the slice, carryout, pizza, calzone, stromboli, - they got it. Their cheese and crust is incredible, and their calzones (customize them!) are amazing! Nothing is better than taking a large slice of their Deluxe (the works) folding and biting into the wonder juicy flavor. You will love it. Or if you want something different try their Bianca (white pie) that will give you a vacation from traditional pizza. Finally, just remember that in this case, quality and top of the line comes with a price! It is tough to get out of here with a large pie for less than $17. (PS. if you just want to try it.....the cheese is amazing!)

Great Greek and Italian, food! Very casual atmosphere but food is anything but! Great appetizer s, loved the octopus, and opa combo platter. Lamb thanks were perfect, salads are great and flatbread were great too. Cant wait to go back and try the meatballs, they looked amazing! Lots of new things to try. I will be going back!

We visited Columbus for the first time and after visiting the Columbus Zoo, we were very hungry. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon around 3:00 pm. Parking was free and plenty. We were happily greeted and quickly seated in the covered patio area. The place has a wonderful open layout. Our server was quick and attentive. We ordered cheesy ravioli with meatballs and a small pizza with half tomato half pepperoni to share. The meal came with the salad bar and 2 house rolls. Our food was out within 10 minutes. The pizza had a thin crust. Crispy but not overly flaky or crunchy. Our preferred! Just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Fresh tomato and old world pepperoni covered every inch. Delicious. The cheesy ravioli and meatballs with housemade sauce was INCREDIBLE. The ravioli was cooked just right. Not too mushy or tacky. Cheese was mild and smooth. I'm not a big fan of meatballs but I ate these right up. The plate was just right, portions were perfect. This was the perfect meal to end our Columbus trip before heading home. Will return!

Everything you want from an Italian kitchen, conveniently located on Sawmill in Powell. Bar area is great if you didn't make a reservation, but gets busy most nights. Menu is extensive with house specials that will keep you coming back for more. And it wouldn't be complete if the owner didn't meet and greet everyone at some point during their dining experience.
