They have a extensive lunch menu featuring appetizers, pizza, salads, Pannini, heroes, and entrees. The breaded chicken cutlet hero was good and they were very accommodating substituting a different vinaigrette then what was on the menu. The mixed green salad with beets and goat cheese was very fresh and tasty. The wait staff is very professional and efficient.
This is a great place to find interesting types of pizza slices, calzones, etc. before getting on the ferry. The children with me had plain and mac and cheese, while I had buffalo chicken and bacon. We were all happy with our choices and many of the other choices looked great too.

Havenât dined in or out since this restaurant changed hands years ago. I must say the renovation and decor is top notch. On this occasion we ordered takeout as its the closest Italian Restaurant to our home , just 1.5 miles away which means we could be steady customers even during those slow months of the year. At first glance the menu seems a little over priced but my initial thought was âif its really good than its worth it -better be anywayâ we kept it simple and called in an order for linguini and Meatballs which was close to 14 dollars and a Veal parmigiana hero at a whopping 14.75. Again I figured at 14.75 maybe it will be the best hero Iâve ever eaten so I went with it. It wasnât. First negative it was big on bread and small on veal and very little cheese. It tasted fine and the veal which was pounded very thin ,was tender , as expected after a beating with a meat tenderizer. There was just so little veal and cheese. Plenty of sauce on the fresh hero roll which definitely could use some oven crisping to give relief to its soggy stature. The linguini with meatballs was a much better choice and could probably feed two people with the bread included and 4 meatballs, yet it was priced less than the hero. Definitely odd.The meatballs were very good and the pasta was drained of any excess water , a big plus in my book.I hate to complain about price but for 5 dollars less the same hero can be had a short drive away and is a very comparable substitution. A family of 4 saves 20 dollars if theyâre all eating the same hero nearby. Food for thought and the wallet. One additional observation . When we called in the order I asked specifically if I could get get a side of grated cheese with the order. It proved to be a difficult question for the order taker on the other end of the line. Quite frankly she had no idea what I was talking about and eventually said âI dont know if itâs extra â . I did learn she was new on the job when I arrived so Iâll cut her some slack as she was very nice ,but management needs to train people that are going to be the first customer contact properly and thoroughly. Greeters and phone people can make or break a first impression . Put your best foot forward in this department. Canât say well rush back as it was $32 for a hero and a plate of pasta and meatballs but perhaps another visit for a special occasion , just not weeknight takeout. Perhaps thatâs the business model but i doubt it. Pictured - the hero .... but it really wasnât my hero this evening
Newly renovated location overlooking Port Jefferson Harbor. The dishes we had were very tasty and properly proportioned. The staff was very good as well. As for pricing, it was fair and competitive with other similar restaurants - between mid range and fine dining. Well worth the visit!

With homemade gnocchi and gluten free gnocchi made daily, this restaurant piqued my interest prior to its opening and it did not disappoint. The gluten free version with a pesto cream sauce was quite good and wasnât heavy as most cream sauces can be. The roasted salmon was very good accompanied by delicious mashed potatoes and greens. The mesclun salad listed on the menu was disappointing as it had large amounts of iceberg lettuce. An extensive desert menu with gluten free options was presented and we opted for the chocolate parfait which was good. Service was excellent and very accommodating. The decor was tasteful and the present owners removed the gaudy decorative pieces from the previous owners. Better to view the water and dock view in the evening through their large floor-to-ceiling window with the darkness blocking out the parking lot and sand piles visible during daylight.Overall it was a pleasant dining experience with very good food. We will return.

The food and the service here is above and beyond amazing. Anything I have ever had here has been cooked perfectly. We come when they participate in resturant week every few months and get something different each time. They never cease to impress us. Highly recommend giving it a tey if you're in the neighborhood!!

Pie is on main street in the village of Port Jefferson. A family oriented establishment offers great pizza options with diverse toppings and three sizes. There is more than pizza offered heavy on the Italian influence. Always a good nightly special, all at a decent price. Service always quick and attentive. Limited beer selection especially tap. Desserts are heavy, very sweet and seem child oriented.

We visited Ruvo during Long Island Restaurant week because they listed a variety of menu offerings, unlike some restaurants where the offerings are few and predictable. We were not disappointed. From the steamed mussels appetizer, to a flounder and shrimp oreganata, to a berry crumble topped with ice cream - it was all delicious. (And the martinis and coffee were perfect, too). My review would not be complete without a tip of the hat to our server, Sadie, who was gracious and attentive. We will be going back.
