Great place and affordable, especially for tourists. Little expensive for locals. But then again, this is maybe not a place you go to every day if your budget doesnt allow it. If you change your foreign money (dollars and euros) with the rates given on dolartoday.com then you can get 3 plates dishes for around 10-15 dollars depending what you take. It is pure quality and a place you don't want to miss! Go there and enjoy! We were so happy about this place that we went there around 15 times in our 3 month stay in Venezuela.

By far the best restaurant on the island. The owner Fulvio prepares excellent pastas, sardines, and different fresh fish he shows you before cooking it. His semi fredo not to be missed. A real Italian experience.

This is one of the hidden treasures of Porlamar. When we first drove past it, I thought our taxi driver might be trying to trick us (Remember all those warnings you read about visiting Venezuela recently?), but at the end of a dark little side street, you'll find this local favourite. The restaurant is outdoor patio only, but the patio is literally the edge of the ocean. You'll have a spectacular view of the ocean and coastline, and it's an amazing place to visit at night. The food is also excellent. If they serve anything besides pizza, order the pizza anyway. It's not the best 'za I've ever tasted but still pretty darn impressive, and at a good price too.My only issue with this restaurant was the service. I guess you would call it typical Venezuelan service, but by North American standards it's a bit slow. It was self-seating when we went, and it took about five minutes for a waiter to even give us menus, although we flagged two of them before that. Once we had ordered, it didn't take too long to get our meals though. To top it off, the prices were extremely reasonable, especially for Porlamar being a tourist hub. I wish we'd taken pictures when we were there.Note: In case you're not aware, it's fairly common for stray dogs to wander onto the patios or even inside restaurants in Venezuela. They're not dangerous though, and I chalk it up to having an authentic, local experience.

Went there with some locals while visiting Margarita Island and the place was full for lunch on a weekday. Service is professional and prompt while the décor reminds you of an average modern restaurant in Italy...nice but no big deal. I had the chupe de gallina and can say that it was probably one of the best I've ever had. Also had a chance to taste the minestrone they had prepared for the next days menu and it was also outstanding. They only have chupe on Thursdays so check with the restaurant before hand. Then I had the roasted pork and I would say that it was good tasting but not superb. Any Cuban or Puerto Rican version would run rings around their pork. They also served the portion with about four puny boiled potatoes which tasted old if they tasted at all. Furthermore, whoever cut the portions should go back to butchering school. I kept finding little pieces of bone in the meat which is a sure sign of poor butchering and distracted from the dinning experience. As far as I am concerned, the jury is still out on Dolphin.

The pizza is excellent. The oven seams like a wood oven, but it actually works with gas. The service is very basic, they only serve sodas and water in plastic glasses.

We ate here twice, not beacause we loved it so much, but because the pizza was very good and the meals were consistent and convenient. I had the 4 cheese pizza-very good the first night, OK the second night. The kids liked the pasta. Service, like in much of this island, is never great. The fruit drinks are always good. Conveniently located in the shooping mall.

If you are in Margarita and wanna eat pizza, don't make mistakes, go directly to Il Nono they have the best pizza in the island! Trust me! I'm very hard with pizza places because is one of my favorites food, but here you will not regret! Great pizza! Price is ok, could be cheaper, but it worth the price!
