Ate here last night. After a friends review. He was right from the start.sever came over as soon as we sat. They brought over freshly in house baked flat breads which were lightly seasoned and had the delicious burnt bubbles on top.. the hot antipasto wS very good and generous with the calimad. Gnocchi with cooked to perfection. And for a lil dessert that was included with meal were squarish shaped zeppolis. . The place itself is nicely decorated with wine bottles. Cant wait to go back. Prices are very reasonable.

Went there on Saturday for a birthday party. We were 9 people. Food portions are plentiful and good. Pumpkin soup delicious. So was the acorn squash risotto, still eating the left overs. Great for a birthday celebration. They give you a tee shirt when they sing to you. Nice touch.

A small restaurant with a nice, quiet atmosphere. Great for a family meal or a night out with friends. The food is always delicious and the staff is friendly. They start you off with a warm basket of garlic knots & pieces of foccacia/pizza. A few items you must try are the hot antipasto appetizer---enough for 2, the rigatoni alla norma with eggplant & fresh mozzarella is delicious & the pollo alla pera---pistachio crusted chicken with pears is out of this world. Save room for dessert---especially the marscapone cup. During the week---Mon.-Thurs. they offer a $22 dinner special which consists of your choice of appetizer, salad or pasta, entrée, coffee & dessert. A pretty good deal. Definitely try Villaggio---you won't regret it.
On days when I visit my mom for lunch and my brother is using her car, we are somewhat stuck, so we order sandwiches from Stella's. The first thing I learned: a half sandwich is more than I can eat in one sitting! I have gone for the tuna sub, and also the turkey club, and enjoyed both. Even with ordering the half, I have leftovers to take home with me for the next day.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The waitstaff started off slow but came through once our food arrived. They have nightly specials and tonight's special was bbq ribs. They looked great and my brother in law confirmed they tasted as good as they looked. I had the veal parm and my wife had a cobb salad. Everything was better than average and the wait for the food was worth it after we all dug in. They brought us out some excellent garlic rolls and some with tomato sauce on it to munch on before dinner and that was awesome as well. Prices are about right for the area but ended up being inexpensive for the quality of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

You can't bet the specials at Nucci's South. We went on a Thursday night and it was a 2 for one dinner special. The choices were very good. Ed the bartender knows how to make a mean Manhattan. Wonderful local gem.

Looks like this place has been here a long time but worth a visit. Large menu with numerous pasta, veal & chicken dishes plus several daily specials. The Bronzino special we had was excellent as were the appetizers. Service was decent and prices were great for what you got. A bit noisy but it was a busy Sat night. Was in from out of town but would visit this place again.

I normally don't speak about a restaurant's look before the food but this place an amazing warmth to it. The host, servers and manager make you feel like your visiting someone's home. Servers are attentive and the atmosphere is laid back. Definitely a place to have a conversation, business, or visit with family. Pizza was good, Pasta was ok, drinks are decent too. If you are looking for a place to relax on the island, check out Angelina's place.

We had a great dinner at Mama Lena's. Everything we ordered was well prepared, from the salads to the fagiola beans and spinach to the shrimp parmigiana to the angel hair and penne pasta--very tasty sauce and small garlic rolls with the meal.Service was also very friendly and helpful.Located very close to the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison
