This is a fun and tasty eating experience. The creator and host Elisa clearly loves what she does and that is cook delicious vegetarian foods grown on her own mountain side garden. Blowing on her cow horn Elisa captures your attention before each course to explain how she prepares the food, and there is a lot, as well as some of the history behind her decision to create an agri-tourism experience. She is a one woman show who cooks, serves and cleans up after each course. And she has a warm and wonderful personality. Her small dining room seats about 30 people at best and she opens only about 4 times a month taking reservations before hand. Everything is spoken in Italian but Elisa loves to try and explain a few words in English if she can. MENU (this is not an either or thing; you eat everything)Antipasto:- Battered flower fritters with creamed ricotta cheese and herbs.- Salad of flowers, fruit, alpine potatoes, herbs, and red onion vinegar- Lentil sprouts in walnut oil with chestnut flour croutonsPrimo:- Polenta lasagne with mountain cheese and herbsSecondo:- Bread dumplings with aged toma cheese centres- Lavender flavoured potatoes- Mixed garden salad, flowers, and sprouts in walnut oilDessert:- Flower pudding with lemon flavoured cookies.- Red or white Valdostano wine- Tisane- Herbal bread- Coffee- Complimentary shot or two of genepy or grappa with your coffeeDinners usually sit at 8 PM and can run to 11 PM easily. Cost 30 Euros each and all drinks included. Don't make the mistake that I did and gorge on the antipasto; there's so much tasty food you'll be struggling after the first course. Elisa also offers cooking classes.Take the plunge and enjoy yourself.:-))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))thank you!!!!!!!Elisa

Mimma is the best!! She makes everything from scratch....homemade pasta, couscous, pasta sauce from tomatoes grown in her garden, etc....we have even had her homemade violet ice cream made from violets she picked in the Alps. We spent 3 summers in France and drove 2.5 hours to get to L'Amite 13 times, taking our visiting friends each time. They all felt the dining experience was worth the drive. And Mimma is fascinating....an ex diplomat who once danced for Charles de Gaule at the opening of the Mont Blanc tunnel and she was a DRIVER in the Paris Dakar Rally for 7 years. Lots of souvenirs to see. Every meal with Mimma consists of many starters, a main course and a homemade desert, with lots of wine. Best to make reservations to ensure she has time to prepare for you. We even drove down from Paris this summer to be able to eat Mimma's cooking once this summer!!

This is a really nice, very popular restaurant. It was also the only thing open the night we were in Nus! We had wandered all around town before going in here. It just looks so blah from the street. We were early, 7:20, by Italian dinner time, and it was already filling up. Nice tablecloths. Food was good. Service was spotty...but when you did get the waiters attention, results were quick. I would definitely eat here again.

Stopped in this small unpretentious trattoria on our way and weâre very pleased. The menu is short and served in a quickly and friendly manner. What we tasted was simply good, made of excellent local products and the bill very soft. It would be unreasonable to ask for more! The small outside terrace was perfect too.

There is no menu but this was the best ! We told what we are looking for and beyond that they bring us some different dishes to eat! We really like all we had! The gnocchi was delicious and my boy said he had the best ravioli in his life. The service was very good also with very kind people. We really like the place that we went 3 times during our stay in Aosta.

My wife and I went for a winter hike in the Saint-Barthelemy valley in Valle dâAosta, Italy. The Magiaâ mountain hut is located almost at the end of the narrow valley, which you can reach from the small Praz village after an easy 1.5-hour hike either on foot during summer or with snowshoes during the winter season. The path to the Magiaâ is gorgeous and wild, surrounded by the stunning Alps Mountains and white waters running down the valley. During the hike, we had a chance to see a mountain fox, and, the nice dogs of the hut welcomed us when arriving. The hut is newly renovated (renovation works ended beginning of 2016) and has a cozy atmosphere, with a giant ceramic wood-stove in the smaller dining room (you can warm up against it in the cold seasonâ¦). We had lunch with polenta concia, handmade gnocchi with blue cheese from Valle dâAosta, all freshly made from the Magiaâ cook. The managers are very kind and they showed us the many rooms and the dorms, all renovated in a typical mountain style. A detail: a room has a double bunk bed for two couples⦠really cool. We are definitely considering the hut for a longer summer hike to explore the surrounding Alps Mountains.

We were suggested ordering fish for all courses (yes, fish: even if this restaurant is on the Valle d'Aosta mountains it offers fish) but both were surprisingly "anonymous".I ordered pasta with prawns but it had just one of those shellfishes on no more fish. Taste was not bad but it seems more a tomato pasta than what I ordered. After this I ordered a mixed fishes grill and also in this case it was not so good: tuna fish was ok even if a little bit too dried and poor in taste but there was also a small part of octopus that was terrible hard and with a bad taste and a cuttlefish that was even worse.I decided to choose fish meals under the recommendation of the owner and of the cook that told me that fish is their specialty (they both come from Sicily) but it was a wrong choice. The only excellent thing was the sicilian white vine. Finally also price was not so a positive aspect: it is expensive for a lunch with food I dislike. In the case food was ok, price is in line with mid-pricing restaurants. However, don't consider it as a "trattoria" or a pizzeria!Dear customer, we are sorry our food was not in line with your expectations. We do not pretend to be a high level "trattoria" or "pizzeria", we are just two retired person who do this job for love and passion and, even if we try to do our best, it may happens we can't. That means that we have still a lot to improve. It it happens, we would be glad to offer you a dinner, just to ask you sorry to have betrayed the confidence you made on us. Best regards Enzo and Lina

What a fantastic little place for wine and typical Valle D'Aostana food. We popped in for some wine and had great service and real passion for the product from the staff. Well worth a visit for some lovely wines and excellent service

My mom and I visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch. There is a fixed menu and the food is served at a fixed time. We got the last table availble. For EUR32 we had about 10 appetizers, fresh ravioli filled with juniper and meat, polenta with fondu (incredible), beef with potatoes, a large platter of local cheeses, fresh gelato, digestive tea, and wine. All of the food was delicious but I especially loved the fondu, the salami in the appetizer, and the cheese platter. I am making this restaurant a destination on my "to come back to in the next year" list! WOW

We dined here on our first night in Aosta. The food, wine and service was great. The menu varies to suit locally available fresh produce. Lovely central location and alfresco dining added to the overall experience. Prices very reasonable. Certainly worth a visit.
