We, a family group of 5 adults and 3 children, celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday at PizzaPlace. GOOD CHOICE! Taylor, our waitstaff, promply took drink orders and brought crayons along with pictures for the kids to color. Beverages included Diet Coke ($2.45), CranGrape ($2.00), Rootbeer ($2.45) and Chocolate Milk ($2.50). A generous serving of Foccacia ($5.50) and 3 large pizzas (BBQ ($15.15), Mozzarella ($12.00), Pepperoni ($13.75)) was more than enough for everyone. Copious servings of Blacksmith Salad (1@small ($7.50), 1 @ regular ($9.95) were shared. Total tab for a DELICIOUS meal befitting a 76th Birthday celebration: $87.60

Decor is fine but itâs not fine dining ambience. Two appetizers were good, artichoke bruschetta and buratta. Then we hit some bumps. Two entrees of tagliatelle were seriously undercooked, not al dente. How can an Italian restaurant not be able to cook pasta properly? In addition no fresh pepper or grated cheese were offered for the pasta. The Casio e pepe is done with a dramatic tableside preparation but the dish is all wrong. Itâs supposed to be a light dish - this was a gloppy mess more akin to an alfredo. It was inedible. When the server saw that it was uneaten she offered to bring another entree. A manager also came by to apologize and later we were treated to glasses of lemoncello. On the good side the veal piccata was good as well as the scampi over pasta although the portion was small ($36!). Overall, this is a pricey venue (we ARE at Foxwoods) but the kitchen fails are inexcusable!Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am very sorry to hear that you experienced issues with the tagliatelle and cacio e pepe. We have driven by Buon Appetito Ristorante many times on our way to Foxwoods. The last time we decided to stop and have dinner. Both my husband and I ordered the chicken parmesan which was absolutely delicious. The waiter who served us was great. We certainly will be back.Hey there Marge132, I would like to thank you for your excellent review! We hope you come back and visit us again very soon! Have a wonderful Summer!

Food was expensive but very good. The staff we encountered seemed distracted and miserable and the environment was cold, with seemingly little effort expended on making it warm or inviting. As another reviewer mentioned, we also felt rushed. Despite this, I would most likely return here.

Had dinner before a show at the casino. Service was excellent- friendly, prompt. First issue was with the Aperol Spritz - barely any aperol in it- asked that the waiter take back to bump it up to a real Aperol Spritz- hard drink to screw up- when it returned still not right- take a pass on it. Sangria was apparently better. Crunchy eggplant was the hit- nice sauce and nicely done. Bread was excellent. Marguerita pizza was meh, spicy pork pasta was ok. The lighting is also odd. Again service was great- they just need better drinks and food to work with.

We had a nice family dinner. Have not been here in some time. It stays the same. Kids had pasta. Adults had different sandwiches which we had cut to share. Enjoyed. We had good service by Allison (or maybe it was Allisa). Good family spot. Enjoy.

Cozy. American/Continental Cuisine. Elegance for the casual diner. Located in Mystic, Ct just off Interstate 95. Away from the downtown traffic and parking hassles.
Went as a couple last Friday night to celebrate our anniversary. I can't comment on the food or drinks, but I can provide feedback on our awkward and uncomfortable experience. We walked and to check with the hostess and were asked if we had reservations. We said no , but don't mind if there's a wait. She actually rolled her eyes and said " Well, it's at least an hour wait!" We said that's ok and asked to place our name on the wait list. No problem we figured we'd have a drink at the bar. Bad idea! As soon as we walked in , not even taking a seat the man behind the bar tells us" There's Five People waiting for these Seats!" We hadn't even asked. He appeared to just kind of get in our faces as soon as we even dared to walk in. I've never felt so unwelcome and this did hurt my feelings. We are never turned down like this. I understand it being busy on a Friday night. But, we decided to go elsewhere not due to the wait time, but because we were uncomfortable about being served food by people who were so inconvenienced by our presence. Ended up going to Go Fish where we were welcomed and had great service, good food and awesome martinis, but that's another review.

Visited for take-out on a Saturday late afternoon. Ordered two pizzas (one large plain, one large pepperoni). After reasonable wait, received the pepperoni but the plain was put in a Hawaiian special. Not sure who's we got but kitchen had to make plain for is. Then I discovered I was charged for the Hawaiian...The teen behind the counter didn't know what to do...likewise, other young staff were crying, complaining. Very unhappy environment. Definitely not the home office in Mystic. Doubtful we'll return.
