We visited Amorâs bistro for a quick breakfast one morning and now always end up back there. Weâve had a magnificent lunch of bazil pesto - which even my kids finished- and a unique gourmet chicken sandwich. We also went for cake and coffee and had the most delicious sweet potato cake! The vibe is relaxing, food is great quality with attention to detail and the cakes are always interesting and unique. Even though the food is more fancy than your average kiddy-friendly restaurant, children are welcome and well catered for. We will definitely be regulars when visiting Fish Hoek again.

All round very good service, food and ambiance. The pizzas were excellent with a thin base. I tasted the one with lamb, feta and fresh mint which made a welcome change.The Norwegian salmon risotto deserves a special mention and was prepared in a short amount of time as well. With the mascarpone cheese it was quite rich which sadly meant no space for dessert afterwards. A pleasant evening and a place to talk without excessive noise.

I have always loved Italian Kitchen. The Pizza with a bite is my most favourite Pizza of all time, so far (Prawn, chilli and avo), but this time I thought I would step out of my comfort zone and try and few other Italian Kitchen bites and I was so lucky I did, because it is a treasure trove of delicious meals. First we shared the Chicken Livers, which I must say, is something I never eat, because they are always so powdery and tasteless, but I braved it out and was happily content with the taste and flavours of the dish, which I would order again in a heart beat! I know, I was even shocked, hahaha. Then for mains we opted for something you wouldn't normally order at an Italian restaurant, but our wonderful waitor, Josh, said we should try one of the burgers on the menu, because they are really good and boy was he right. A delicious Lamb burger, with Camembert and caramelized onion and a Pork belly Pizza was our order for mains and both decisions were a perfect combination, because obviously I wasn't going to only sample one main , I had to try both(no, I am not a fatty, I made sure my partner ate most of it, but I had to try both, they both looked so delicious!!!), I am not a burger girl, but it was juicy, medium and the camembert added an extra depth to the burger. However, I have to say that the pork belly pizza was heavenly and a winner for any Pizza loving fan like myself. For dessert we tried the Ice cream cake and it was the perfect ending to a great night. I will definitely be heading back there and if you are ever in the area and head to Italian kitchen, make sure to ask for Josh (Waitor), he was so good to us!!!

Stopped in for a breakfast and had to ask for service. When we had their attention we were looked after fairly well. Still got the order wrong. The food was nothing to write home about.As it is a local venue for us we will probably try it again sometime but not to soon.

We arrived in the middle of a birthday party (obviously adolescents) so the place very extremely noisy but it doesnât seem to be an habit as the staff appeared very sorry. Otherwise the food was really good with excellent vegetarians options. Plus the house made lemonade is absolutely delicious.

Our Wine Appreciation Group enjoyed a most delicious lunch in Cucina Labia's Drawing Room. The tables were set out immaculately, the food was well prepared and beautifully presented and the ambience exceptional..I could not fault any aspect of our visit. The Manageress, Lydia, was kind and considerate and bent over backwards to accommodate all our needs. The service was excellent.Full marks Cucina Labia - this praise is well-deserved.

The pizza was good. I like a thin base. But is it better or the best in Cape Town? I doubt it. They benefitted from good publicity and I imagine many of the five star reviews are influenced by that. If you go, enjoy the pizza but keep off the starters or what they call Italian tapas because they are very unItalian and are characterised by heavy coverings of melted tasteless cheese. I notice the owner specialises in aggressive emotional responses to any review he doesn't like. That is not a good look so let me me remind him that pride comes before the fall and he should just accept good faith reviews whether they are good, bad or just average.Hi Yendy,thanks for your review. We have actually been voted Best Pizzeria in Africa, but i guess it is question of personal preference.I just want to clarify that out of 20 spuntini starters, only 3 are 'covered with melted cheese':- the melanzane parmigiana, - the Bomba: (morsel of artisan chorizo, soft focaccia, roasted garlic & mozzarella)- the Furia: oven baked caciocavallo cheese with oregano. A cheese lover's dreamin all of them we use proper artisan cheeses made by Puglia cheese in Cape TownWe have been operating since 2009 and have been appreciated long before this award was bestowed upon us.

We stopped here just for a coffee and ended up ordering an omelette, carrot cake and some wine. Nude little spot. Nice covered stoep. My omelette and my hubbies carrot cake were both great. Good selection of wines by the glass. Attentive service. Good prices. It's nothing unusual, but the basics are done very well! A pleasant surprise and we'd go back for another meal.
