We walked around trying to find a casual place to eat, out of the way of the center tourist venues when we came upon this little place. The hostess/owner is a character and welcomed us warmly, it is family run with the husband and son in the kitchen. I had a home made pasta carbonara and my husband had pizza and salad, it was all very good yet simple and a fun place to eat. We liked it because it was not so family oriented with kids and high chairs which seems to be taking over in so many places. With the tight configuration, we had fun with other couples at nearby tables.

We were a group of Canadian chefs and sommeliers staying nearby. We decided to get takeout pizza instead of eating out one night. We ordered 12 pizzas from Pizzeria Gori. They were all prepared fresh and ready in only 45 minutes. Not only were they delicious and authentically in the Naples-style, the owners through in a couple bottles of rose as a gift. A great experience!

La brasserie de l'horloge is situated in the center of the city, at the square horloge opposite theater and carousel. An enticing menu featuring fresh seasonal produce from the food market "les halles" and surrounding Alpilles is on offer. Friendly profes
I ordered steak with Bearnaise sauce. The meat was stringy and the sauce was cold and did not resemble Bearnaise at all. We asked for butter with the bread and they charged a Euro for it! We ate there as so many Trip advisor reviews were good so be warned! Do not eat here, there are so many good restaurants in Avignon!

A charming restaurant with a creative menu. I was pleased to find organic wine on the menu, and plenty of vegetarian options for my friend. They feature an imaginative menu, with spins on some classics, including a risotto with grapefruit. Great cheeses and charcuterie.Highly recommended

This place deserves its excellent reviews for the quality of the food.Service is a little sketchy but if you can cope with that then definitely give it a try. We had 2 pasta dishes and both were divine. A carafe of house red at â¬8 was very drinkable and the coffee ice cream was strongly flavoured and delicious.

My wife and I had the the 25 EURO vegetarian sampler for two. This included raw, grilled, pickled, and fried veggies and sauces in a Mediterranean style. Very nice and enthusiastic server. Nice indoor and large outdoor eating area off the street in private patio. They serve wine, beer , and desserts . Loved the dessert sampler. Thanks a lot for your comment :) It was a pleasure to meet you. See you soon ^^

What a gem of a find in the backstreets of Avignon! Persevere to find this small restaurant in the back streets of Avignon, it is well worth the visit. Very busy but small pizzeria / Italian eatery. Excellent food and equally good service. Definitely recommended and worth the effort which is out of the tourist trap. Large sized pizzas and carbonara served in the frying pan which is quite novel. Very reasonable prices too.

We all ate pizzas which were very good. Service was efficient and the waiter helpful. The area does get quite busy with bars nearby and is a draw for younger people. For decent food at a good price this is one of the better large restaurants.
