Any time I come out to the Monroeville area I always stop and pick up a large Sicilian pizza. It's honestly the best in the area.

My brother and I stopped at Papa Rocks for pizza. I had never been there, but my brother said their food is very good. He was right on the money! The service was prompt and courteous. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and sausage. It was delicious and the crust was crispy. It was an enjoyable meal. The restaurant has many more menu item, typical of an Italian/pizza parlor. They also have a full bar with entertainment during the week. Just check out their website. When I'm in that area again, I will head to Papa Rocks!

I can only assume itâs because Iâm from Maryland, where we prepare and eat good food, but this stuff was terrible. My husband ordered a cheeseburger hoagie, or as it should be called, sub, with pickles and mayo. It was a squished piece of dried up beef, and we were given mayo packets, and no pickles. He also got a tuna sub, and asked for pickles. It was baked, with cheese, and had no pickles. It smelled, and tasted like cheap cat food. Actually, I donât think a starving cat would have eaten it. I would say this is just the restaurant, but with the exception of one restaurant in Pittsburgh, this has been the consistent quality of the food in this area. I truly feel sorry for each and every person in this area. I canât wait to go home where I can find good food, even when I eat at a cheap questionable restaurant. Believe me, if my hotel room had a kitchen, I would have cooked instead of subjecting my loved ones and myself to the disaster you call food.

We wanted to try the restaurant so had dinner there last evening. Walking into the restaurant we were hit with a strong disinfectant smell; must have cleaned the bathrooms! The decor is old school which is fine. The wait staff was nice and helpful with the menu descriptions. The bread was average, not anything special. My husband ordered greens and beans and it was too spicy. He had a salad which was fine, he ordered the flounder and he said it had no flavor; the pasta side was also average. I ordered the Virginia spots Romano, and it was awful. Too much Romano cheese. Also I had a piece of fish that tasted fishy so not fresh. We honestly wanted to enjoy our meals but the food was not good. Sorry EstaEsta, we wonât be back.

A group of 11 friends met to hear the music of 8th Street Rox and enjoy dinner at Bella Luna. I ordered grilled salmon and it was delicious; done perfectly. The side salad was large, fresh veggies steamed to perfection. Others enjoyed ribs, chicken salads and pizza. Great time with friends at Bella Luna.

Have been here several times and for the most part itâs usually good. Went last evening and food was so so. We ordered meat and cheese tray for appetizer and it was nothing special! There was prosciutto which had no flavor and it seemed to be old, then pepperoni slices; the cheese was nothing special and it seemed to be a white cheddar, longhorn and a hard cheese like Parmesan. There were 3 crackers and fig spread. Mostly it was bland, donât order. I ordered beans & greens with chicken for meal and there was no flavor! The chicken tasted old. Husband had fish dish which he enjoyed. Service was fine. Just disappointed in my meal and with appetizer. May not back for a while.

A friend and I went to DeNunzio's for lunch. They have lunch specials. We both had the veal parmigiana special with spaghetti and a house salad. The salad was very good. It had a variety of items in it and the house dressing was light and very tasty! The spaghetti and veal parm were excellent! The sauce is good and the veal was a nice size and thick. The waitress was very attentive to refill our drinks and service was good. We will go back!

A group of friends went to hear a music and have dinner on a Wednesday evening. We ordered sandwiches, salads and pizzas. My roasted cauliflower pizza was delicious. The tuna sandwich and roast beef sandwiches were great and very large in portions. The meatball special was tasty and only $4. Our server, Daniel, was outstanding. The music was terrific and many people danced. Great evening with friends.

While the menu is ambitious, the Gateway Grill delivers good food at competative prices. Popular items include pizza and sandwiches, although the menu incldes full dinners,. most of which are wood-grilled. The lower room can be very loud, so this is not a place for an intimate dinner. It's more of a family and sports-bar atmosphere. The Grill is usually very busy, with lots of happy patrons.
