Reviews on Italian food in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. The Yucatan capital has both colonial and Mayan treasures to discover. Nearby ruins at Uxmal give some insight into the lives of the predecessors of the conquistadores, who arrived in 1542. Mayan culture is also still evident in Merida's daily life and in the many colorful festivals celebrated here.

The Trattoria boasts a relaxed and informal atmosphere providing good food at a good price. The name comes from 'Tratore' that in Italian means 'to prepare good food'. Trattoria is not only a wonderful lunch stop, but at night we transform into an intimat
Went for a walk and stopped here for lunch. Pleasantly surprised. We had Greek salads, and I had garlic shrimp appetizer. The fresh bread they served made for a nice filling lunch. Prices were reasonable. Sat on the outdoor patio.

Firstly this place is dreadful: dark, dingy, dirty and dump. Visiting its toilet was like a horror film and I say no more... Even our table wasn't cleaned at all since there were breadcrumbs everywhere. Dear waiter, do I have to ask you specifically to clean my table? Is it really a strage request to eat on a clean table?Secondly the pizza was atrocious. I am Italian and I have eaten great pizzas all over the world and I can say this was the worst of my life. Avoid at all costs.

Pizza tipo de Nueva York, Subs (como Baguettes) y Pasta. New York style pizza, subs & Pasta High Quality ingredients and freshly baked bread for subs.
The pizza is real New York style pizza that tastes amazing. The sauce is fresh, has amazingly tasty bits of fresh tomatoes peeking through. We had the Bronx and the Brooklyn and enjoyed both immensely. The pepperoni had great flavor and wasn't too oily which was perfect. The crust was crisp, perfectly herbed and just the right thickness to maintain it's shape when eaten. Definitely a great place and amazing flavor! Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed everything!

Chef Fabrizio Di Stazio (Priverno, LT,IT) honors good old-fashioned italian cuisine with family recipes and traditional dishes from his region all within a modern atmosphere in this lively ristorante situated in the heart of Merida, MX. We are located nex
We were out for a very nice meal with friends and we were not disappointed. There were a variety of dishes ordered at our table. The cream of carrot soup was fabulous, the asparagus / spinach salad was crisp and fresh, the bread, oil and olives served before dinner made us think we were back in Italy. We all had a variety of pasta dishes. The beef rague (chef speciality) had the beef done in a rich creamy gravy, with home made noodles, it lived up to its advance billing, the seafood pasta was full of flavor. Leave room for dessert, Gelato was great especially the dark chocolate! Overall presentation was well done. A quaint restaurant we will go back to before we leave Mérida.

Needed a late night restaurant and was looking for a good wine list. Late night is fairly easy in Mexico, good wine list...not so much. With that said, Olive Enoteca hit the mark and delivered. Atmosphere was pleasant, service was sufficient if not excellent, and the food itself was outstanding both in quality and variety of choices. This went along with a high quality wine list that included wines from many regions including Italian wines ranging from Vermintino to Nero d' Avalo. Really enjoyed Oliva and highly recommend it.

Yes, we ate at Chaya Maya (excellent Yucatecan) and Ponchoâs (fantastic guacamole and pulpo ceviche) and our favorite meal was at the Oliva Enoteca Kitchen. Incredible fresh, hand made pasta, delectable sauces, nice Primitivo. We ate at the small bar, by choice, and had a nice chat with a local ex-pat (his favorite restaurant). A great break from the Yucatecan fare we were enjoying for several days. Check it out, you will be very happy you did â¼ï¸

We met some of our local friends from Merida at Amore e Gusto for dinner on a Wednesday night; they chose this restaurant because it is their favorite in all of Merida. It is all outdoor seating underneath a roof with beautiful hanging lights, plants and flowers. The location is on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. All of the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious!

100% home style Italian cuisine. We are a couple of italians delivering you the best taste, flavour and culture of our land
While this restaurant was out of our Merida Centro neighborhood, the excursion was worth the trip. The food was outstanding and obviously prepared with pride. We started with a delicious Brushetta with brie and Parma, then handmade ravioli filled with ricotta and spinach, two types of lasagna and for dessert a Panna cotta with berries. The bottle of chianti was outstanding. We highly recommend the trip to this outstanding restaurant.
