I admit I wasn't expecting much when I selected Chez Mimmo. There are few restaurants in Molsheim and the others were closed or required reservations. And the exterior hardly suggested good food was to be found inside.What a pleasant surprise! I ordered the tortelloni with cream and mushroom sauce and it was excellent! And at 12 euros, much more affordable than many other options in this region. The wine the was excellent as well, as it should be in a region known for its whites. The service was mixed...one server was efficient and friendly, but another was friendly and had to be asked three times to refill my drink. In all though, I definitely recommend a visit if you find yourself in Molsheim.

Un samedi soir, en famille, nous étions huit, et nous avons beaucoup apprécié la découverte de ce restaurant.! Le cadre est sympa, avec le piano, et la cave à vins au sous-sol. Concernant les saveurs, la tarte flambée est top ! Le carpaccio, et les pizzas aussi ! La serveuse qui s'est occupé de nous est débutante dans l'établissement, mais gentille. Service aimable et rapide. On y reviendra en amoureux sans hésiter, et très prochainement, pour goûter d'autres spécialités.

Either for lunch or dinner, don't stop over here. Pizza doesn't taste like in Italy and service is average. Prices are high level. Not appropriate for this area

So if you are English you probably aren't reading this! Very French and in the middle of no where. Staying with friends who live down the road. This is a new and great Italian. Pizzas were crispy and amazing. They use a wood fire oven. Given its setting they have done an amazing job. Staff are good. Don't know what their English is like as we spoke French. Enjoy. This is easily missed 'ristorante' but the "invisibility" belies it's true character and greatness! They easily sat our party of 10+ with accompanying wonderful service. They spoke 'broken' english but we were able to make great selections! The pizza with pepperoni "avec champignons" (eg. mushrooms) was ordered THREE times! I had the filet of beef which was excellent. My friends had the three-meat selection and loved it. They had a Dorado (mahi-mahi) special which was cooked excellent as well. The wine selection was good but my party primarily loved the beer.

Notre italien préféré. Tout est parfait. Superbes pizzas, fruits de mer excellents. Et que dire des pattes, toujours parfaites. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.

In the middle of the small Village, we found this hidden gem. We were looking for an authentic restaurant, and Basilic is definitely one. We started our dinner with: Basilic salad with mozzarella and grilled ham, which was fresh and tasty. We also had Parma Pizza with prosciutto and rocket green. Our main courses were: An Alsatians baked macaroni with ham and melted cheese, a selection of 3 raviolis' filled with spinach, Gorgonzola cheese and escargot which was a delicious choice. For desert we ordered the Banana Split and cafe gourmet. Overall it is an excellent restaurant, good quality of food for moderate prices.
