A small, American-Italian restaurant in the heart of Saratoga Springs, New York with an evolving menu to match the palate of Chef Danny, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients when available. Come as friends, leave as family.
Just pulling into Saratoga for an overnight...where to eat ?.....zeroed in on Italian....Danny had a lot of good reviews on Tripadvisor....we checked with the locals first to confirm...we squeezed in a reservation on a busy Friday night...all good. The Owners Danny and Patty were hands-on with the clientele...we like that approach....they want you to know who's putting on the experience. Yes....this place is great....the food is a 10....and...its reasonably priced.

I absolutely love this little Pizza shop. It has that authentic New York pizza that always makes me think of home. Whenever I visit home, I always have to take my friends here. It's delicious, inexpensive, and memorable. It's perfect, and I miss it all the time.

Had a nice dinner here while visiting the area. The food is very good, large portions. Servers always seem to be busy, but are attentive and friendly. Everyone in our party had a significantly different type of dish and all were satisfied. 3 of the 4 had enough to takeaway leftovers. The wine list is very nice and has plenty to choose from at all price points. I would strongly recommend making reservations for a Friday or Saturday night. We visit this area once or twice a year and are always happy with our dinner here.

This is either a "love/hate" relationship. Family owned business. The hostess and the majority of the servers are family members. You frequently will see the grandchildren helping put napkins on the tables. We've been going for many years. Food is always excellent, as is service. Shrimp a la Mangino is their specialty. (Personally, I absolutely love the scallops, they are always cooked to perfection.) It is an Italian restaurant but has great seafood dishes as well. Atmosphere is very dark and to some may seem outdated. In my opinion (having never been to Italy), I believe this may be the way an "old world Italian" restaurant would look. Prices are in line with everyone else in the area.

We decided to have dinner here tonight because this restaurant came highly recommended. First off, service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt warm like an Italian grandmother's dining room. We started with a house salad, calamari, and garlic bread. For an entree, our family split a family style penne pasta with Italian sausage and meatballs. The sauce and sausage were great. Their meatballs were horrible! Very soggy and over seasoned. An Italian restaurant should master making meatballs, right? Also, I made a reservation and told them a birthday for my twin daughters. Totally overlooked! At least everyone else's birthdays were acknowledged. I would have gladly paid for a nice large dessert.

The service was great, the pizza delicious, and the prices reasonable. They handled our take-out order without issues. We would eat here again.

A great place for authentic Italian food. They have great cold cuts by the pound and with sandwiches. The eggplant Parmesan is great. There are also an assortment of Italian canned items and frozen raviolis, pasta, sauce, peppers, and meats. During the warm weather they also have ice cream!!

Located in beautiful Saratoga County, the Ripe Tomato is a friendly, family-owned and operated dining experience that sets it apart from chain restaurants. We offer simple, hearty Italian and American fare prepared using fresh, local ingredients.
The Ripe Tomato does it again! We had another lovely dinner. Penne ala vodka and pasta bari with angel hair. So GOOD!! Very tasty calimari putanesca (sp) as an appetizer. This place consistently makes awesome food and is always making new and tasty specials. Their dessert tray is equally wonderful. We always walk away with full, happy bellies!
