Just outside the old town, this is a neighbourhood restaurant mainly frequented by Italians but probably used for something a little bit more special. The owner really takes pride in his restaurant. Reservations necessary. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. A very enjoyable experience

All fans of Salento have to taste our products. Here you can taste cold cuts, chopping board with "capocollo" and a lot of cheese, bruschetta, puccia, good Apulian wine and much more...
If you enjoy trying local produce this small bottega is the place to visit in Lecce. They stock a huge range of local wines and beers which can be bought by the glass as well as the bottle. The have a small deli and make a great selection of sandwiches using only local cheeses and meats which work really well with the wines. They also stock local biscuits, pasta, spreads and pottery that are ideal as gifts. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I live in Lecce and have done for over 12 years now, so I know just about every restaurant in town. We are lucky in Lecce, as we have a lot of very good restaurants. However, there are only a few exceptional restaurants. There are even fewer reasonably priced and simple restaurants that are exceptional. Mezzo Quinto is about the only one. Small, simple, and unassuming, Mezzo Qunito boasts not just some of the best food in town, but some of the best food in Salento. Don't let the simple and unassuming facade fool you. They grow their own veg,, local varieties cooked in the Salentine style. All the other ingredients are also of the finest quality. You will have a hard time getting better Leccese food elsewhere. A must if you are in Lecce.

Rather intimidating amount of staff meet you, but they were very friendly and helpful. Meat and fish is charged per kilo, slightly confusing menu, which needed explaining. Exceptionally good steak on a hot slate, papaer thin veal wrapped around pine nuts, raisins and cheese delicious. We returned here twice, great desert, and good seating outside. Very nice wine and beer selection.

We just spent 3 weeks in Italy and dined at a number of mid and high range restaurants each night and most days for lunch. My husband and I rate this restaurant as our number one choice for a number of reasons:- the host/waiter's (Giovanni) service was impeccable, the bread was all freshly made and delicious. We opted for the a la carte menu and each dish was fantastic. The price was very, very reasonable. We also had a great Puglian red Primitivo wine, very good and very reasonably price. Only 6 tables. You can see the creativity and care that goes into the food. We highly recommend this restaurant.

The place is small, but cosy and it offers the possibility of eating inside. You will be able to taste delicious mains, sandwiches for everyone, seasonal vegetables, dishes of the day, desserts and, most of all, our specials: fried pizzas, fried panini, a
I ate lunch here at least 7 times during my stay in Lecce. The food is amazing-- delicious and diverse offerings, for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I particularly loved all dishes with eggplant--eggplant with pasta, eggplant parmigiana are two noteworthy offerings. The eggplant entree and a contorni (vegetable, for example, chicoria), cost 5 â¬. And the people who work here are marvelous!
