domeniche di dicembre fino a Natale sempre aperti con tante specialita,su tutte il fritto misto alla piemontese, sempre presente sulla nostra tavola il venerdi e il sabato tutto l'anno
We stumbled across this small restaurant by accident. I don't know if it opens in the evening, but it was certainly busy with mainly local people and a few tourists at lunchtime. Service is swift, but the food is freshly prepared and delicious. There is a set menu with a choice of three first and second courses for around eleven euros total. We left well satisfied with everything (even the toilets are gleaming!) and will definitely go there again.

This restaurant specialises in delicious and accurate piedmont food. We shared the mixed anti pasti plate which included a very flavoursome vitello tonnato, anchovies, marinated peppers and other meats. I followed this with small gnocchi in a wonderfully rich duck ragu and then braised rabbit with black olives. We concluded by sharing a dessert comprising three traditional favourites such as pannacotta. The owner is charming and clearly has a passion for the local cuisine explaining even about the local breed of cattle. He has a similar enthusiasm for the local wines and we enjoyed really excellent barbera and barolo. All of this at a reasonable price - do go if you appreciate a real Italian meal.

Stefano the perfect host . altho a simple affair the food and ambience is just right. Self service as it should be... small, everything nearby and of course fast. I had a burgher .. fresh ingredients and tasty, My partner had a salad ... good again and with some tasty veg. Paolino in the kitchen has the passion and flair to make the plainest of dishes a worthy plate. Each day there are different pasta dishes and main courses, e.g pasta done with a sausage meat ragu topped with leek sprouts. Well worth a visit, I will be going again

Perhaps this is unnecessary to say, but all of the pasta is made on the premises. In fact the first floor of the restaurant is devoted to a small store that sells homemade pasta. On a Saturday lunch, they were busy. The restaurant is in an old house so there are several rooms on several floors with tables for dining. The pasta was (to my mind) nothing that special, but it was fresh, good and inexpensive. I had the agnolloti (which were medium sized ravioli sauced with a light tomato basil sauce. Salad wasn't available so we ordered a large vegetable plate to share. Some vegetables over cooked, but some were quite tasty. You aren't going to get a bad meal here, but it won't be the best meal you eat in the Piedmont either. Service was good.

been with a friend to try their set menu........the 25 euro ones where you can get a selection of 6 appetizer (cold and warm) excellent the baccala cream...then we got a seabass each.....maybe they should be more flexible with the options and the selections in the set menus.....

We were in a group of 20 friends (I was the only non-Italian), and we're all disappointed with the 'so called meal' and the price of 35euro per person and not everybody was drinking wine. The owner kept cracking open bottles and said he would charge reasonably by the glass. To our surprise at the end, we split the bill, with a consequence of 35euro per person.Yes ok the wine is good (not amazing) for the price. But... You are in Italy and both the quantity and quality of the meal was ridiculously average. In Italy, you live to eat, not starve and overpay. This zone is a second home to me and there are so many fantastic places to wine and dine... Having said that, my mother in law has been with friends more recently and she ate well and it was 15euro per person... And for her fussy self I have to believe it. So perhaps you can have a good experience. Unless it was paid for, I wouldn't return again.

A great experience is to be enjoyed in this picturesque restaurant, from the kind and helpful service, to the top-class cuisine. Not overstated, yet unique it its simple elegance, with large and well spaced tables, intriguing menu and wine list. The waiters and waitresses are highly competent and very friendly, though not at all intrusive. The chef is an artist in taste and presentation, well worth of a Michelin star. A recommendation: try their new creation, juniper ice with pine essence - to die forThank you very much!See you the next time!Marco Rossi
