Though Salina’s rocky beaches nod to its volcanic composition, today the island is as tranquil as can be. Think olive farms, think caper bushes, think storybook trees heavy with plump figs and citrus fruits. Salina is a place for your taste buds to swoon over nature’s sweetest and saltiest bounties. Cap each meal with a sip of the islands signature Malvasia dessert wine. When your belly needs a break, explore Salina’s stone lanes, pebble beaches, and the twin volcanos, dormant for 13,000 years.

Flawouros of refined aeolian simplicity ,conveying culinary elegance, style, and excellance of skill
A magnificent evening amongst the smells and tastes of the beautiful aeolian tradition. The âPolpette Patate al Nero di Seppiaâ reflect an inextricably modern take on classic ingredients, simultaneously conjuring a savoury link to the sea that is so strongly embedded in the local culture. The swordfish blesses the palate with a cascade of freshness and richness which characterises, yet redefines, Sicilian cuisine. The simple beauty of the desserts mirror an accurate and meticulous research carried out by Chef Fabio Giuffrè, culminating in a balanced though surprising blend of sweetness and bitterness. The excellent service and inherently caring nature of the staff serves only to frame and complete what I can describe as a beautiful painting of Salina.

Once again we unfortunately relied on the review of someone who doesnât understand much about produce quality, food presentation and service. Everything was of low quality. The swordfish rolls that we ordered for our daughter were refried and burnt, totally soaked in oil. We got two âalalungaâ and have to leave it on the plate partially as it had the black parts not removed, so it tasted too much of cooked blood. Tasted like black pudding to me! The side dish were grilled vegetables soaked in oil. They said they make them hours in advance. Not even bothering to make them on the spot! I asked for black pepper to grind on my fish. No luck! They didnât even invest in a grinder :). The house wine tasted bad. The restaurant faces the street, so expect the fumes from many motorcycles passing by.

The setting is sublime, at the lighthouse-end of Lingua's pretty little promenade, with a view across to Lipari. There is parking by the lighthouse. There is an extensive menu and we had a delightful 3-course lunch for 74 euros for two, including a half-litre carafe of house white (5 euros) and a litre of sparkling water (2.50 euros). Husband had marinated anchovies then spaghetti with clams (both 15 euros), finishing with ice cream (3 euros). I had pasta shells with prawns and courgettes (12 euros) then mixed fried prawns and squid (16 euros) then a granita at 2.50 euros. All delicious and such good value.Service was excellent even though they were also coping (very well) with a couple of groups. Such friendly people, and such a surprise to us, in such an out-of-the-way place, to hear fluent Australian-accented English (they spend part of the year there).

Really enjoyed this restaurant - excellent simple food, fresh, delicious, local, reasonably priced and the family who runs the restaurant could not have been nicer. Had pastas, fresh fish and excellent salads. This was one of those feel good meals, where everything works, from the food to the service to the atmosphere to the beautiful view. Would definitely return.

Mr Santino owns this beautiful restaurant on the strand of Lingua in Salina.Food is super.Cozze (mussels) alla messinese and polipo (octopus) are the best appetizers.Their pastas are like you would expect to eat in a Sicilian home...so genuine and authentic! Our favorite ones: spaghetti alla siciliana; Maccheroni a la cannata; permette al profumo di salina. We are here for almost a week and never got tired to taste all the dishes of the menu!Customer service is outstanding so is the food. Well priced too. Don't miss their cannoli and their cassata for dessert!

The best place to eat something fast and fresh!Il miglior posto dove consumare qualcosa di veloce e fresco!!Chiusura stagionale dal 20/10 al 30/03 dell'anno successivo.
You'll not find it if you're expecting to find a cafe in a building. It's just a makeshift food truck on the side of the road on the way to the beach.Câe Stato un tempo in cui assomigliava a un bar perché organizzato a tal punto da farlo sembrare. Alcune foto lo dimostrano! Questâanno è stato purtroppo abbiamo dovuto fare delle modifiche in peggio. Ma miglioreremo per il prossimo anno!!

Inside the Hotel Ravesi, our bar proposes breakfast, lunch and italian aperitivo. Our typical aeolian dishes are homemade, and cooked with local products.
Good value and quality in Malfa town center, which is without a lot of excellent lunch options. Food was fresh, tasty, and served by friendly people in a pretty pool area with excellent view. Pane cunzato, a local specialty, was good as was the large salads. I actually liked the salad with tuna, potato, and two types of capers better than the tuna pane cunzato but both were good choices. The food menu is only available at lunch between 13:00-15:00.

After 15 years of living and travelling in Italy, dinner here was up there with the best. A wonderful welcome from Aldo and then superb cooking from his wife Erminia in their family agriturismo, almost entirely from their own organic produce (so fabulous for vegetarians). We ate with Italian foodie friends who were similarly wowed and we are all still talking about the quality the morning after. So it wasnât just the excellent Malvasia that went with it!

Very nice surprise for our group after long sailing day. Owner well explained menu, background of resources and dishes. Meals were freshly prepared, very tasty and nicely served with care. Selection of drinks and deserts chosen complemented well the dinner. We were very satisfied and can recommend this cosy place.Thank you for your review. It was a pleausure for me.Hope to see you again at our restaurant. With loveCarmelo
Breathtaking views. Lovely terrace. Extremely accomplished bartender. I was just going to have a glass of wine as cocktails are not my thing, but the bartender very kindly suggested I try his wild fennel, local lemon and ginger with vodka concoction. Delicious and refreshing. My only complaint is the music is extremely loud.I did not eat at restaurant.
