Local school kids come here and split the huge sandwiches this place serves. And, of course, the sandwiches are very tasty! The servers there are competent, happy and fun. A place where one MUST go for lunch! And if I visit Rovereto again, I will go there for dinner. Who cares if you are not Italian!

Reading the reviews I was expecting more but unfortunately was a over estimation .The location is nice , the service good but the food nothing special . The trentin sushi has just the sound of an evocation , only that , only rice mainly and tasteless. The rest of the dishes are a sum of nice attempts, a mix cultures and cuisines which creates confusion and does not give a soul to the please and the results are not in line with the expectation . Prices too high for the area . Good areas for improvements but at least the people are nice and with strong commitment to work and improve. I would suggest the chef and the personnel make a learning trip in some international cities to watch...

Our Restaurant Is In Isera, Near Rovereto, From 2005. Il Gallo Is A Very Nice Place To Enjoy A Healthy Kitchen. The Family Has Worked The Campaign Organically Raised Products, Fruits, Vegetables, Herbs And Wild, Are Used To Cook Delicious Dishes.during Th
Wow! We were blown away by how great Agriturismo Il Gallo was. We were brought here this past September by my boyfriend's sister-in-law and her cousin, who lives in Riva del Garda. This is a place that we would have never found on our own as common American tourists and we are very fortunate to have had family there to show us gems like Il Gallo. The night we visited Il Gallo, they were supposed to be closed but they made a special exception for our party and they opened up just for us. We had the place all to ourselves which was amazing. Here is what we loved about Agriturismo Il Gallo:1) First things first: THE FOOD. Creative dishes yet simply done using quality ingredients... doesn't get much better than that. Aperitivo drinks made with elderflower, figs with salami, figs with melted brie (I swear I'll never be the same after tasting those!), risotto with feta, salad, soup made of bread/tomato/herbs (honestly, I have no clue if you would even consider it a soup but what I do know is that it was pure amazingness), rosemary braised ribs (served with some sort of candied fruit that was soaked in Rose wine), and several different kinds of dessert (chocolate cake with a sweet/tart cream, bread pudding with raisins, some sort of minty/lavender creation that reminded me of creme brulee). All were spectacular. None of these dishes are what traditionally come to mind when you think about Italian cuisine but that was part of the reason we enjoyed it so much!2) The view, the view, the view! The dining room features a large window where we were able to watch the sun fade away and the lights from the town below start to twinkle. The pictures I snapped just don't do it justice. I wish I could live in a place with that kind of view. 3) Service = Fantastic.4) Atmosphere. The inside of Il Gallo is warm and inviting and is decorated with lots of knick-knacks and mis-matching tables. It's almost like you're at a friend's house for a dinner party which was very cool in our opinion. Our table decor was just lovely-- fresh flowers and each plate had a sprig of various herbs from their garden (I attached pictures to this post!)You can tell that the chef at Agriturismo Il Gallo is passionate about her craft... I would recommend this spot to anyone and everyone who visits this area of Italy. I am still dreaming of cheesy fresh figs and yummy lavender desserts!

Il Ristorante Pizzeria Al Parco propone ottimi piatti di pesce e gustose pizze: lasciatevi coccolare dalla cortesia e disponibilità del nostro personale, a disposizione per andare incontro ad ogni vostra richiesta.
We regard ourselves as foodies and there we experienced their mixed seafood grill. The dish was built upon perfection and the seafood was delicious.A totally awesome experience.A special place and worth making an effort to go if you are anywhere near Trento.

We went late in the evening just to see this place and to taste something: the choice was on a red wine glass (Lagrein) and a nice grilled vegetables dishes. The restaurant room was nice and comfortable. Good taste and selection, service very good and inclusive. Strongly suggested, we'll come back for a more comprehensive lunch/dinner.

Bread basket was good. Thank god, as we waited half an hour for our first dish (and over 15 minutes to order),A starter of 'asparagi di Zambana' (a local speciality) featured woody asparagi with an excessively bitter flavour, accompanied by a greasy rocket salad (and mediocre quality oil). Better was a primo of local filled pasta (casonzei).Mains were disappointing. 'Spuntature di maiale' (spare ribs) accomplished the feat of being very fatty without much flavour. A 'Cappello del prete' (a cheaper and harder, but potentially tasty, cut of meat - more or less a featherblade) was bland, the best part of the dish being some mushrooms.Filtered water, 0.75 litres, came at 2.50, which in this part of the world is quite a lot. The prices for food, while not high in absolute terms, were high for the quality.

Small and warm restaurant , with outside sittings, within the Wine producer estate, next courtyard down. The menu offers a selection of traditional Italian specialties, the same you could eat at an italian home with an experienced cook. In the summer I would recommend "veal tonne'" with roast potatoes. Salad very tasteful, you can feel it has been just picked up from the field.Desserts not to be missed, a special mention to the "semifreddo", very gratifying and yet not too sweet. The extra idea? A good wine list mainly from the owner of the wine estate and a small selection of local fellow producers, at the same price as their wine shop...actually you can buy wine and local products straight at the restaurant...what more could you ask for?

Reasons for choosing this hotel This hotel, among others, was recommended to us by a local winegrower who we had planned to visit. The criteria that determined our choice were:- Gorgeous village location, well away from the busy shores of Lake Garda- Reputable restaurant- Oenotheque (wine library) to promote wines that are primarily produced in La Vallagarina, the most important wine area in the province of Trento.- Reading selected online reviews- Excellent value for moneyThe hotelCasa Del Vino della Vallagarina is housed in the stunning 'Palazzo de Probizer', on the Piazza San Vincenzo, in Isera, Trentino. It is presently managed by an association of 33 winegrowers, whose main aim is to promote their wines. It has only a few rooms, all named after a grape variety. Our roomWe were allocated room 'Marzemino' (a red Italian wine grape that is grown around Isera), a de luxe suite situated on the second floor, accessible by lift (elevator) and stairsThis well appointed suite, nicely decorated, features a large comfortable bed, stylish furniture, most probably made in the area. The purple curtains may no appeal to all guests, but they serve the purpose intended, especially in the heat of the summer, at the time of our visit. Both arched windows command a breathtaking view over the beautiful Vallagarina. The bathroomAlthough functional and adequate, the bathroom, a relic of a bygone era, never failed to challenge our eyes. It is indeed in need of modernization. The bathroom fan can be quite musical! When on a short visit abroad, we travel light and tend to rely on complimentary toiletries. Therefore, we were somewhat disappointed that our bathroom offered a 3 (body wash, shampoo, conditioner) in 1 dispenser affixed to the inside wall of the shower cubicle. No bath gel, no body lotion. So, for 4 days, it felt a little like showering at our gym!Suggestion If you do not entirely subscribe to the policy of the 'greens', bring your own toiletries. The hotel-in room safeHaving carefully read, several times, the method of operation provided, we came sadly to the conclusion that the hotel-in room safe was not working, We reported this problem to the hotel staff on 2 separate occasions, but to no avail.Suggestion Immediately on arrival in the room, check if the safe is working. If it is not, please do not wait for someone to come to help, but immediately return to the reception, and do not stand any nonsense!Free Wifi with free frustrationsWe have no smart phones, and this surely testifies that we are not over-reliant on Wifi. However, like any other guests in residence at the hotel we expected to be able to connect our tablets to the internet. The receptionist, when asked about Wifi, replied with a big smile that Wifi was free. It did not take us very long to find out that the hotel's Wifi facility was either extremely slow, or not working at all. We tried, time and time again, from the hotel's reception, restaurant and breakfast room, but never managed once to connect to the internet. 4 days without internet in Italy, is like 4 days without sunshine!Of course, we spoke to the hotel staff and manager about this unacceptable situation. The only apology we received for our ordeal was a melodramatic, 'melo operatic' : "Mamma Mia, we must do something about this"!Suggestion Travelers not owning smartphones, would be wise, before booking a room, or going there for a meal, to speak to the management. If they have not changed this antediluvian Wifi system, give this establishment a miss. The garageThe hotel has a few reserved parking spaces in a multistory car park, located about 400 yards away. It is easy to find it that is if you have a good understanding of Italian delivered at full speed. The garage is relatively safe, as it is not opened to unauthorized persons at night.Suggestion Ensure to unload the car as close as possible of the hotel's entrance door, then drive down the road for about 400 yards, and turn right into the multistory car park. When inside the car park, immediately turn left and then proceed to the first floor. To reach the hotel, walk to the end of the garage, and take the lift (elevator), or stairs, to the first level. From there, you will see the hotel about 100 yards away. Not very convenient if you have to carry luggage, and not practical at all to those with walking issues.Restaurant and foodThe hotel features a large restaurant that offers a seamless dining experience. It has also an imposing terrasse, with its incomparable open-air setting over looking the majestic Lagarina Valley. On the days of our visit, the terrasse was very vibrant with quite a few local families, including small children, all enjoying Italian specialities. On both restaurant and terrasse, tables are on the small size to maximise seating capacity. The wines on offer - Very pleasing surprise! For many years, the wines of this area were not particularly exciting. Today, a new vanguard of local winemakers are making strides, and producing compelling wines in a wide range of styles. It is most pleasing to note that that this wine region of Italy is slowly but surely coming into play. All the wines that we were recommended for tasting were excellent and did pair well with our food. As yet, these wines cannot quite compete with the stalwarts crus from Tuscany and Piedmont , but they are knocking on the door, and offering much better value for money.BreakfastBreakfast is served everyday in a nicely decorated room, located on the first floor, only accessible by stairs. Access may present difficulty to those with walking difficulty. Each table has a name, that is the name of the room occupied by guests. The main offerings such as: 'charcuterie (cooked meat), bread, croissants, butter, yogurt and cold milk are readily available on the table. Choice of juices, cereals, fruit, pastries, various types of coffee are obtainable from the buffet. The member of staff on duty, on request, will serve guests, cafe latte, cappuccino, breakfast tea, etc.Suggestion To ask whether the hotel offers room serviceSwiss clock serviceWe experienced a faultless and most consistent service. Although the restaurant and terrasse were practically full on our visits, senior and junior waiters remained cool under pressure and demonstrated a remarkable ability to anticipate customers' needs, All these guys knew exactly what they had to do and what was expected from them. They all supported each other. That was very nice for us to see.Communication and signagesWe fully subscribe to the idea that when visiting Italy, try to speak Italian! The hotel has a few staff who can converse in a foreign language, but it is not the case of all employees. Communication on arrival may present some difficulties. In order to overcome this communication problem, the hotel should produce a small flyer written in languages other than Italian, containing important information such as: direction to the garage, restaurant opening hours, Wifi, where breakfast is served, wine library operation, etcOn our first morning, it took us about 10 minutes to find the room where breakfast was served, as there was no one to ask, and no signages to guide us.HospitalityOn the whole, throughout our stay, we were extremely well looked after. Luca Bini, Casa Del Vino della Vallagarina's Ambassador and General Manager, was immensely helpful. Here is a polyglot, who has held top jobs abroad, and who knows deep down what the word 'hospitality' means. In passing, it is worth mentioning the special bubbly glass that Luca designed to promote perlage, and raise the organic and olfactory properties of sparkling wines, especially Trento Doc wines.Luca- We are grateful for all your recommendations on local wines and various grappas. They were all winners! To you and all your staff, we say :" Grazie Mille"!ConclusionThe most important and pertinent question: Would we return to Hotel Casa Del Vino della Vallagarina ?Having stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights, and bearing in mind all the remarks made throughout this review, my wife and I would definitely welcome the opportunity of returning to this most charming little hotel. Cheers!Swiss Visitors, August 2016

There is an odd scratch in the throat when drink a sip of whiskey or when you send down some strange thoughts ... Italian immigrants, which in 20 years packed up their life in beautiful cardboard knew it cos' it was that scratch, and when their tarantella

Do not miss this agrirestaurant. It is a little difficult do find - it is not exactly on Via Marone but take a little street from roundabout close to via marone and go a little bit up the hill. You will find friendly family running beautiful restaurant with small pension house. There are a few meals on the list but do not hesitate - everything is homemade, top quality. Especially the antipasti mixed meat of the house was remarkable. Prices also very very reasonable (minus 2-4 euro compared to city center).
