Reviews on Italian food in Ischia, Province of Naples, Italy. Serving as the main port town for the island of the same name, the town of Ischia has been inhabited for centuries, famous for its beaches and the healing waters of its spas. The town is divided in two: Ischia Porto is the harbor district and commercial center of the island, filled with brightly lit taverns and bars, and Ischia Ponte, the historic quarter, with its ancient castle and its stone streets seemingly frozen in time.

We wanted to have something else than pasta and pizza. Porcavacca came across on Tripadvisor, so we booked a table - and we were definetely not disappointed! The manager of the restaurant was really friendly and professional and knew what to recommend to every customer. We had cold cuts charcuterie as a shared starter and as mains two different kind of steaks. The portions as well as the price of the food was just spot on. Excellent service, modern and cozy interior, great wines and perfect food. Porcavacca Steakhouse gets absolutely 10/10! We will come back next time!

The scialatielli with red prawns were astonishingly good and portions very very generous. We are Italian so you can imagine how much pasta we ate in our lives. Also very good the pasta with melanzane and tuna, but not as heavenly. The lady next to us had mussels and I was shocked when I saw that she managed to finish them all, they must have been one kilo. Service professional, informed and also friendly and warm. We went back the day after for more. Only drawback the grigliata of calamari and shrimp was just all right and quantities small, just one calamaro and three shrimp. But the scialatielli were so great that we forgive them. Highly highly recommended!

Went there because of Tripadvisor and because I am picky, but it exceeded my expectations. Really great food, salad was so huge and delicious!! Owner was super nice and all the waitresses. Can highly recommend this place and a huge plus was that the chicken salad was only 10 euros.

We visited this past June for a birthday celebration and the first night of our trip to Italy. It was a highlight to be sure. We received a lovely tour of the castle and gardens which were so beautiful and interesting to hear the history. Afterwards, we chose a table with the most outstanding views of Ischia and the sea - it was hard to concentrate on anything else other than the sunset and the views. However, the food parallels the atmosphere as everything was delicious. Best grilled octopus, local wines, everything top notch. And great service as well. We had a truly memorable evening and we cannot wait to return.

We visited twice for lunch on our recent holiday. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and well situated on the beach. We enjoyed arrabbiata pasta, mussels and 'crazy water ' fish - all very fresh and tasty (do ask about the crazy water!). Prices very reasonable.

Top choice if you would like to feel thoroughly spoiled. The presentation of the food was beautiful but more importantly it was also delicious. We just ordered a primo (occhi di lupo con crema di zucchine), but greatly appreciated the homemade bread selection and sweet treat at the end we were also served. Most of all, though, we were bowled over by the service - wonderfully attentive and kind staff. Extra special thanks to the maitre who ingeniously fashioned an ice-pack by vacuum-packing ice for us to take back to our hotel as I had swollen ankle. What more can I say? We hope to come on holiday to Ischia again just to return here!

Always open for LUNCH & DINNER. There is a small sand bay peeking the Aragonese Castle, where time passes slowly and enjoyable. You can pamper yourself at the beach or choose the lawn, swimming among the rocks of Sant'Anna and explore the beautiful seabed
Swam to shore through beautiful clear water and floating sunloungers, ate delicious arancini of melanzane, tartares di ricciola, gamberi rossi, e tuna, delicious paccheri and spaghetti, washed down with very nice Ischia wine Frassitelli. Plenty of ice about. Staff friendly and helpful and glad we were there. Go have a great lunch and admire the castello Aragonese

Nice place where to get your coffee, aperitif, Lunch or dinner. Nice ambience, friendly staff, Francesco and Emilia, doesn't accept guest but friends in them home. Come and visit us, for lunch/dinner or an aperitif whit the amazing sound of the waves at o
Absolutely fabulous food, right on the beach, along with excellent, local wine served by a very knowledgeable owner. The owner, waitor and chef all very welcoming and friendly. I had tiny little, light as air dumplings with plump fresh muscles - heavenly!! Husband had linguine with octopus and squid, freshly caught that day, in a spicy tomato sauce. Mopped up the sauce with gorgeous, crusty chewy bread. This is a small, intimate restaurant, very relaxed atmosphere, expect to wait for excellent food that is cooked freshly for you, using local ingredients. We will definitely be back and recommend to all our friends who visit this magical island

I have never...ever...eaten in a restaurant that allows it's staff to smoke in the kitchen but this place does. The man in question then proceeded to serve food without washing his hands either! The owner clearly doesn't care about health and safety, especially not hygiene, I found it absolutely disgusting!!If you like your food prepared by staff that are allowed to smoke in a professional kitchen then this is the place for you. If you value hygiene then avoid this restaurant like the plague!

We walked over to this restaurant because the owner of our lovely B&B nearby had recommended it. We were escorted to a lovely table outside overlooking the azure sea. The night was simply magical. We ordered a mixed seafood appetizer and fiori di zucca, which were the best fiori di zucca I've ever had...and yes, I've had a lot of them. The marinated seafood was divine.I especially loved that there were no ashtrays on the table. I noticed an outdoor living-room area, far from the tables, which had ashtrays and I realized that THAT was their smoking section. After barely being able to breathe in Naples and Rome due to excessive cigarette smoke literally EVERYWHERE, it was wonderful to be able to eat without the disgusting smoke from other patrons. Brilliant move!I had been told by the locals to order the buccattini al coniglio, because that is a specialty in Ischia. I did and was not aware that the sauce that comes on the pasta does not contain any actual rabbit meat. It is merely the sauce that the rabbit is cooked in. I told the waiter about my disappointment even though the dish was still good and I was so amazed at what came next. They actually brought me a small plate of rabbit so that I could taste it. Honestly, this really made my night. They cared so much about my experience that they went out of their way to make it perfect. This is how restaurants should be. We also had a lovely dessert and walked home afterwards. The entire place is lovely both inside and out.We loved La Pietra Slow and would highly recommend it to everyone. Yes, it was a glorious experience indeed.Dear Mrs Glenys , thanks for your review!!! We are happy that your experience at restaurant " La Pietra" has been enjoyable. We hope to see you soon Thanks <3 Annamaria
