We had a great meal of pizza, antipasto salad, and fried cheese ravioli. Pretty good beer selection and the waitress was very efficient and attentive. It is a popular restaurant and seemed to also have a busy takeout counter. Our experience would have been more pleasant if the decor was updated, the vinyl on many chairs and booths was ripped and dark kind of dingy interior.

We were on vacation and hungry for Italian food. I saw the sign outside Marco's advertising the ravioli special. We decided we'd give it a try. The restaurant looks like it formerly housed a Pizza Hut. There was no air conditioning and it was very dark inside. (Could hardly read the menus - good thing we knew what we wanted!) We were offered a choice of cheese, sausage, or mixed ravioli, with marinara sauce, meat sauce, or butter and cheese sauce. The waitress suggested soup to go with it - minestrone (for $3.95, I should have passed. It didn't have much flavor.) The ravioli arrived piping hot - we ordered mixed with marinara sauce. It was tasty. Our garlic bread arrived as we were near the end of our meal, and it was rather burnt. The saving grace was ordering dessert - we split a cannoli. The cannoli was drizzled with chocolate sauce and topped with whipped cream. The best part of the meal!!!

We stopped here for a small snack after birding with friends. It wasn't even officially open yet but we had the most delicious cheesy breadsticks with real marinara and a slice of pizza that was so big my two friends split one slice in half to eat it. There were 8 breadsticks and they were fresh and hot and garlicky! Heaven, pure Italian heaven!

Definitely go here for great Italian food and service! We were greeted warmly by Dago who also was our server, and offered a table very quickly. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio, and we both ordered Caesar salads. With my order of chicken Parmesan with veggies, I added a side of pasta with the most amazing sauce! My husband tried the spaghetti carbonara. The food was cooked perfectly, the portions were generous and the service could not have been better!

Cafe Di Roma specializes in great Italian food with a special touch of old-world culinary traditions. Our family-friendly and family-owned restaurant has 50+ years of culinary experience and 40+ years of experience in the hospitality business.
A friend recommended this place in Imperial Beach on Coronado Island. The restaurant is owned by a couple (the cook of Italian descent and her husband whoâs half Lebanese). They used to run a cafeteria out of state before returning to California. The place is in a strip mall. It is small so youâ better make reservations. The decor is a mish mash of Italian or Italianized paintings. Nothing to rave about. We ordered an antipasto which wasnât that bad and was of generous size. I had a salmon with angel hair pasta. The salmon was a bit overcooked. My friend had the pasta with shrimp and mushroom. I tasted it and it was something that I could pull off myself. Bottom line, the food is not that bad but itâs nothing to rave about. However, my biggest disappointment was the dessert. We ordered a tiramisu and a cannoli and I have to say they were both horrible: they were lumpy, the tiramisu was like a sponge cake topped with a heavy cream. And the cannoli was the same. What a shame! If you go to this place, eat dinner but definitely skip dessert.

This is my all time favorite Italian restaurant in all of San Diego. Several locations and it's just the best food around. They have the most to offer in their menu and the prices are very fairly priced. Great atmosphere. Great for lunch and dinner and take out.
