We're really excited to eat spaghetti / tagliattelle ragu in the birth place of the Bolognese but had to leave disappointed. We were met by staff that obviously weren't interested in having guests at all. After standing in the doorway as a question mark for a couple of minutes we were pointed to tables inside.(the backyard looked more interesting..,) Waiter gave out menus but were more interested in cleaning all the empty tables than taking orders from new guests. We both went for the ragu after reading up on the area ) the birth place of the ragu..) The tagliattelle were ok, not al dente but unfortunately covered in tasteless ragu with loads of butter. The plate was swimming.. Obviously missing tasty tomatoes and basic ingredients as salt and pepper. Recommend you go searching for the perfect spaghetti / ragu somewhere else. + for Nice and clean restaurant .. But that's all you'll get.

We just did not know this place till some local friends brought us here for lunch. There is a big garden outside, then a simple cafe and passing by the cafe you enter the restaurant.Food is great, like wine, and prices are clean and cheap. We had fresh pasta, mushrooms and meat in quantity.Better to reserve if sunday or just holiday time.

Since 1984, the Osteria del Vicolo Nuovo has offered wonderful years of great food and passion. The 17th-century rooms are dominated by the warm laughter of Ambra Lenini, professional sommelier and a born hostess, and the more discreet friendliness of Ros
Primo: salad with warm artichoke and Parmeggiano-ice was geniously presented and tastes were balanced into perfectionSecundo:fried monkfish tail bites with homemade mayonnaise was also a feast. Dolce:warm apple pie in custard. Gorgeous! When in the neighborhood this place is worth a detour! Congrats to Ambra & Rosa & TeamUna bella recensione, ma come altre in lingua straniera non è visibile. Come mai?

Local tastes, local product and a small restaurant to enjoy a very good offer. Better to reserve a table as many people come from surroundings to live the atmosphere of an old place, making food as it has to be done.Pasta (fresh) cannot be missed and also grilled local meat.Personnel is really kind.

Food was nothing special compared to The restaurants in countryside. A place that i would not consider to revisit. Veal was good but the bread in the table was dry had been sat there for hours and not good. Pasta with truffles lacked the taste. Seabass was served without lemon and was tasteless. Really not the quality for Italian quisine.

The restaurant is located in the historic center of Imola and is located across the street of the same name, which formerly housed the workshops of the tanner, from the Latin 'callegarius'. The modern furniture, sober and elegant, enriched by statues Flor
Nice and discreet located. Quite small. Top of the art owner/Maitre Dâ . Friendly but upper class atmosphere. Quite interesting cooking. A special note for Fiori di Zucchine prepared differently from the one we had few years ago in the Jewish Quarter of Rome. Started with fried baby squids excellent done. Also the home made pasta with prosciutto was very good. Iâll suggest to start with a bite of the excellent home made bread and few drops of the local olive oil. For me was a surprise to find such a robust taste and balanced acidity so farther north. Maybe a bit less perfumed than the southern oils, but, again good touch in the mouth. Portions a bit small. Price decent.Dear sirFirst of all let me thank you very much for your review on trip Advisor, i am very happy you appreciated our restaurant. As regard your concern about the portion size and price i would like you to note that you were five people in your table and shared two appetizers, you only ate the "TORTELLI",off course they might look small but in fact they are not because they are meant to be for one person. However i hope to see you again in Imola.Best regards Leonardo Mantovani

The restaurant does not even worth one star, not to mention two stars. It really makes me wonder how are the stars awarded?!? We are Michelin restaurants aficionados, we travel extensively and always follow the guide, but this time the restaurant is not even close to one Bib Gourmand distinction.Old fashioned food nothing special, truffles with not even a bit of scent/aroma, mediocre food, nothing special. We eat in at least 6-7 michelin stared restaurants per year, but this kind of disapointment we only faced in japan this year...Value for money extremely poor, stay away if you are a connaiseur.
