We're stalking the perfect "go to" pizza joint in BHAM, but this one isn't it. The pie had plenty of ingredients - fair priced -but the sauce, the cheese and the crust was average. When I think New York I think BIG - AMAZING - DIFFERENT. Nope - not there. Somewhere, there's a pizzeria that goes the extra mile to be different and sets itself apart from the rest. My opinion, this isn't that place.

We had dinner with a party of 10 on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It is a small local, pizza/Italian restaurant with usual/expected offerings. The staff was very attentive and the food very good.Wine selection ranges from low to high$ w/o much but the usual Chianti in between - but again it suits the place. I would return. Good local crowd.

When it comes to Italian food BRIO Tuscan Grille, Brookwood Grille restaurant is your best choice for the Tuscany grille and pasta menu. Bringing the pleasures of the Tuscan country villa to Birmingham, our chef-inspired Italian recipes are sure to deligh
Not the setting usually expected in a "grille" but an exclusive restaurant with an attentive wait staff offering excellent service. The elegant interior makes this a choice for special occasions like formals and birthdays. Our grandchildren enjoy the excellent child's menu and the paper table cloths keep them busy with crayons before and during the meal. Food is excellent though not surprisingly expensive. Shrimp pasta (huge portion) was excellent for a little over $20. Many entrees at high $20's with some specialties higher than $30.

The place is nicely located, right on the corner. Definitely try the moussaka. I'm not usually a casserole fan but the moussaka was delicious. We also had a great Falafelburger and Mediterranean dip platter. The peasant salad was also an amazing blend of ingredients minus the lettuce. The place is cozy, but there is also a lot of seating options. There is also an an attached grocery store with lots of Mediterranean spices and grains for your own cooking.

Stopped in for a snack, pizza and a beer, late afternoon. Ordered Hot Chick pizza, and were pleased. Thick, gooey cheese, touch of hot sauce. Wait not to long. We ended up leaving and taking it home to eat because we couldn't get server's attention to get another beer. We were literally the only people there and wait staff much too busy with, well, whatever it was they were doing that didn't involve customers. Disappointed. Oh, and we absolutely hated the music.

Yep, had the same slow service from the kitchen, but I must admit the fettuccini Da Vinci is wonderful and with the wait. Nice local place that cute and has a significant local following. Parking is limited and it's a good thing that the business just to the north is closed. That frees up parking spaces.

The ratings are a bit high for this pizza place. The crust was flavorless and soggy in all areas except the edges. I like cheese on my pizza, but there was an overwhelming amount compared to the ingredients. Weâll try another Birmingham pizza place on our next visit to town.

Some of the best thin crust pizza this side of NYC! It is delicious, and all the toppings you could ever want......or just cheese and delicious house-made sauce. Also, their wings are to die for! Meaty, moist and delicious. Craft beers available, indoor and outdoor seating, easy parking, great relaxed, friendly atmosphere and outstanding staff. If you want pizza....you found it! Sice Stone Pizza & Brew is the place!

Italian food is amazing and varied. I lived and ate there for two years. I also grew up with Italians in New York. This place reminds me more of the latter than the former but Old World and New World can be wonderful. Who else serves veal these days? Excellent wine selection. Had a very delicious Ripasso. Ask for it. Waiter had a big personality but he knew his stuff. Low key dining, the best way to eat really fine Italian food. A bit pricey but worth it. The bar out back was a real find.

Anniversary celebration...made reservation a month prior. Everything we had hoped for! Based on reviews that we read, the Parmesan souffle was amazing!!! Cocktails were nothing special...actually just okay, but wine selection was exceptional. Scallopine was amazing and pasta celections were great. No room for dessert...portion sizes were more than adequate. Service, as most reviews state, was exceptional. Would also reccomend valet service as parking can be difficult for the area.
