I have never visited such an amazing little cafe/restaurant. Inside is full of books, objects, pictures and wine, all packed into a small characterful place in a marvellous village in Umbria. The pasta served to our party of 10 was wonderful. The menu is small but if you're in the area, check it out!Be amazed!

Nâ Anticchia in our dialect means âa little bit of somethingâ, and it is exactly that âlittleâ which permeates this locationâs spirit. Nâanticchia is a tiny place where traditional flavours, sounds and emotions echo through the eyes of those who want to l
You may expect to find a number of drinks and a good collection of wine at this little place but they also serve very good, freshly prepared small dishes of different kinds. If you just want a drink and maybe something light to eat to that, this is the place. The service is friendly and helpful.

This restaurant/ hotel is in a lovely situation, snuggled in the sunflowers and vines in the hills near the medieval town of Todi. The rooms are furnished in very comfortable Umbrian style, and there are 2 large apartments, one with an incredible private terrace. This is Umbrian cuisine with a twist, and very much more sophisticated than many restaurants around Todi. In summer, after an afternoon around the pool, a cocktail or delicious glass of local wine, dinner is served, normally outside on the lovey terrace. There is no menu, just course after course of delicious imaginative seasonal food. If you are staying for a night or two, it feels very much like being a guest in a friends lovely house. From the hotel one can visit many places easily, Florence, Rome, Arrezzo. But be brave and stay local, visit the strada del olio e vini, very clos by, and sample some amazing wines. Montecastelo Di Vibio, a gorgeous little hill town with the smallest theatre in the world, heaven to hear a recital . Visit Todi, a gem of a medieval beauty, or Deruta, world famous for hand painted ceramics that dazzle.Or how about Perugia,40minutes drive, for the most amazing sunday passeggiata in Umbria? You will never be bored I promise, and you will eat like a king/queen!

With church bells chiming on the quarter hour, we entered the quiet space of Ottavio Mare in Bevagna to begin our divine seafood meal. Greeted by the chef/owner, Vittorio, who was the only English-speaking employee, we embarked upon a dinner beginning with an amuse-bouche of smoked fresh anchovies on brown bread, fried rice cracker in squid ink with a whitefish mousse, and truffle rolls with oyster butter. I chose two cold appetizers: smoked salmon with two types of beet zest and tuna crudo topped with tuna sauce. I followed the appetizers with a handmade ravioli filled with a fava bean purée topped with sweet red prawns and truffles...each dish more unique and distinctly flavored than the previous one. My husband - after sharing my appetizers - enjoyed a sushi-style salmon wrapped in nori coated with a crunchy topping and flavored with a mild Asian sauce. The chef was incredibly accommodating and helpful. Unable to resist, we ordered dessert: a Mille feuille with chocolate and mocha cream, and a chilled passion fruit mousse cake accompanied by a tiny creme brûlée. Everything was incredibly delicious, and if you are ever in Bevagna, I recommend this as a must!

Upon returning to my favorite Italian town ( Bevagna) after a 2 year absence, I was looking forward to eating at favorite Pizzeria. Sadly I learned it had closed down. However my friends quickly took me to a new place it town in what used to be the old hardware store.I was totally surprised by the restoration and this restaurant is now a modern Pizzeria with gorgeous pictures on the walls and lovely table settings. No paper serviettes here either. The very friendly waitresses were helpful and obliging with prompt service The pizzas are amazing. Mine with sausage, mushrooms and truffles was generously covered. Shavings of truffles , not grated so I got the full truffle flavor I will be returning soon to this new gem in Bevagna. Sadly I forgot to take a photo. Next time !

Small family-run restaurant with local cuisine and delicacies Quach, gluten-free cooking (registered "A.I.C." Availability of dishes of our tradition of booking, such as chicken, goose, rabbit, pigeon, etc., From local farmers.
A wonderful experience in terms of authentic Umbrian food, with pleasant decor and friendly service. Most everything served here, from the meats and bread, to wine and after dinner liqueurs, is home made. This restaurant is a must stop in my opinion for a real Umbrian experience.

The Restaurant " Redibis " is born from the awareness of a unique location and the will to save it from the obvious museum logic, in order to make it host the ancient ritual of dinner instead. We are in the Roman Theatre in Bevagna, built in the first cen
Great service: informed, professional, friendly and not rushed (in spite of the fact that we were the only diners). We ordered several courses to share, which were thoughtfully divided into half portions and served consecutively. A reasonably romantic space, unexpectedly deep set (you pass through several rooms/hallways to get to the main dining room) and appropriately decorated. We shared: amberjack carpaccio (good), arancini (good), crema of peas (excellent), risotto with asparagus (excellent), spaghettone with tomato sauce and pecorino (excellent), and a very nice dessert of chestnut cream and poached pear. I tried Sangrantino for the first time and enjoyed those deep tannins. Highly recommended.

We have eaten at this recently opened Osteria/ enotecca for supper, lunch and occasional breakfast eight times in March and April. One evening meal was very good indeed as were two breakfasts. The coffee is good, but cappuccinos were not. But three other evening meals were very disappointing. Dry main courses and warmed up pasta, i.e. not freshly cooked were the main problems. The service was variable, sometimes ok, sometimes indifferent and even disdainful. Cappuccinos at most recent breakfast were served with longlife milk and stale cornetti. A great shame because when it is good it is very good. We will not go back until we hear they have got their act together.NeedDear Highbury19,thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad that you have come to our osteria 8 times.. the problem is that we do not remember You! Are You sure you have reviewed the right place? We have this strong doubt also because your statements are not correct: we never serve warmed pasta and our cornetti with homemade jam are always fresh as well as the milk. We are very sorry because maybe you have confused our osteria with some other place, However, we invite you to come and visit us as soon as possible. Our best regards.
