This is a kind of place that leaves no doubts open, it is cool , from its jungle themed entrance, then the stairs are taking you into bar and dining room , quite classy and stylish , a lovely balance of new and tradition , always spoken in the local atmosphere . Staff extremely welcoming and friendly , the menu is a perfect mix between the two versions of raw fish serving , with international and local alternatives . Quality of whatever I ordered was simply very good, and the menu leaves pratically options for whatever your tastebuds are looking for .Perfect timing in serving and accurate presentation , a new gem is added to Gioia's crown and is sparkling and glittering . Well done boys , really well done

Locale piccolo ma accogliente. Vasta scelta di panini per tutti i gusti, c'è l'imbarazzo delle scelta. Il proprietario e' molto gentile e cortese, servizio rapido. Tutto buono.

A pleasant experience, in this pizzeria , that was really crowded on a tuesday night .Space is quite limited so between the tables thre is hardly the space to move and conversation cannot be too intimate . If you wish to have a private place , you do not look for places like this. Service and staff extremely efficient and pleasant , timing of serving also adequate and balanced. You sit , you orde, you eat , you pay and go.They are focused on the world of pizza, that here is taken extremely seriously, the selection is hugely wide and you can even choose what type of dough bread you wish to have for your pizza ....imagine that Good and tasty salad selection , correct pricing , welcome to pizza kingdom

Panta Rei ... Everything flows smoothly into the heart of the historic center of Gioia del Colle , sitting around a table of the friendly local .Its name refers to the greek philosophy of Heraclitus, the incessant flow of time that slips like the wind if
tucked away few meters away from city center , still in an evocative location that after sunset gets even more atmosphere , this tiny place offers a hard to beat in town wine selection and serious wine connaissance from what I guess is the owner . attentive and gentle service with right timing and correct portions We were adviced to go for meat and so we did, enjoying a nice piece of succulent beef, unfortunately the starters were not same quality and were suffering from pairings not to my tastes , a sort of trying to do too much , too many flavors together . The wonderful iced chocolate from Polignano with a glass of dried sweet local wine was a perfect ending

We so enjoyed dining at La Cicershia, being able to experience the flavors of beef, cheese and wine from the Puglia region. We ate far more beef than normal...the grass fed beef was exceptional in flavor and texture. The buffalo mozzarella from Puglia and vegetable side dish were absolutely packed with flavor and the local Primitivo wine were perfect accompaniments. The service was very good and we asked the waiter to make some recommendations (wine, beef dishes) that were right on. Our only disappointment was that we missed the outdoor season for dining and live music.

Un ambiente accogliente, dove degustare una cucina del territorio rivisitata dallo Chef Ottavio con grande passione e umiltà .
Went on Tuesday night. It had been snowing, so everywhere was quiet. Nevertheless we had a warm welcome, great service and a nice experience. We had some risotto, really great, spaghetti, perfectly cooked, lamb really great.Totally great, will certainly go back.

We are close to Matera, Alberobello and the Castellana Caves
it is on the outskirts of the town , with easy parking facilities and a nice garden area surrounding it , inside (during summer time weather and wind permitting they also set tables outdoor) a rustical and warm typical south italian atmosphere will make you feeling quickly confortableThe owner will take good and professionally care of the guests and will be able to guide them through a vaste menu , with daily offer as well, that is perfectly balanced and offer both meat and fish as well as tremendous pasta . Spectacular are the seeming endless array of starters those alone will feed any normal stomac . Leave a space for meat ( as we did , they are succulently prepared ) and make sure you will find the way to taste one of most amazing icecreams I ever tasted ( the owner explained me that they prepare using only fresh milk ) In the kitchen the mamma's touch is remarkable , you will get food as prepared from your grandma for a sunday lunch, simple and tasteful , with accent on local dairies products and cured hams Just the bread alone is worth the visitImpressive wine selection that reflects owner's love for good wine , let him recommends you what to drink and you will be surely have a great dinner n price ratio simply great Highly recommendable , we will surely be back

This was our first lunch as part of our tour of Puglia. Katia, our guide selected this trattoria for us.We had a selection of vegetarian freshly made flavoursome antipasti from locally sourced ingredients. The pastas were equally fresh. It is a family run trattoria and the service was excellent. An experience we will always treasure. Highly recommend.

Gioia del Colle is great little town for a day trip, or a detour. Barbarossa is the perfect refuge for when the sun is at its pinnacle. It's a tiny restaurant, the owner is both waiter and cook (there's another cook in the kitchen). The menu is not extensive but varied, written on a blackboard, suggesting it's very much the choice of the day. The mixed antipasti is a true delight, several fresh cheeses and cold cuts served on a wooden platter. The pasta's we had after were wonderful too. Flavours were great and every plate is made with great care and attention to detail. This is not a village-type trattoria, it's rather a city-place; still traditional but a little more modern, a little more refined....we had a great lunch and would recommend this place to anyone (as we would recommend a stopover in Gioia to everyone). Is there a downside to this place? If so, it's the moment you have to leave this secret hideaway and walk back into the blistering sunlight....
