We made a same day reservation over Thanksgiving weekend. Very quiet when we arrived but filled up quickly. The staff were a bit surprised by the crowd and servers apologized a couple of times for keeping up waiting. That said, we never felt like we were being ignored and we didn't think service was slow. The food was hot and tasty, wine was good and everything was reasonably priced. Risotto Pescatore was delicious!

Our most recent visit to Johnny Farina Restaurant was on a Wednesday night in August. The restaurant was surprisingly busy, with some large groups, but we were seated quickly without a reservation.Johnny Farina Restaurant has a wide-ranging menu and specials of the day. We opted for the pasta special (tagliatelle with salmon, Spanish onions, tomatoes, and baby spinach in a tarragon lemon cream sauce), which was very good.Our server Katrina was friendly and efficient.Despite the busyness and the background noise, we found that we were able to converse quite naturally.

Beautiful old building, the inside is welcoming and offered several dinning areas. The service is knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Now for the food, it is good but not exceptional. Itâs solid Italian fare but nothing more. Mamma Teresa is old school and has been around forever. It is a favourite of the politicians and press as you will see all the autographed pictures in the lobby. It is a good place for a date but on the pricey side.

This place has been serving delicious pizza for over what? 35-40 years? This attests to the consistency of their quality of food and service. Staff and patrons have been loyal to this place for good reason. If you are looking for honest to goodness great traditional pizza, this is the place!

A classic in Vanier, decadent, rich, and full of good stuff for the Louis Special. Had visitors from Montreal and they were very impressed. Busy place therefore order in advance! The place is like stuck in time in the '70s but always constantly good.

Order via SkipTheDishes. The menu sounded delicious and reading their webpage we were excited to try this pizzeria out. When the order arrived I was shocked.Extremely small pizza and most of that small pizza didn't have ingredients to the edge. It was mainly crust!Totally not worth the money. Their ingredients were quality and it tasted good, but the value is horrible.If they change their business model and make larger pizzas and put ingredients out the edges I'd consider changing my review, but as it stands I won't be ordering or eating here again.We very much appreciate that you enjoyed the quality of our fresh local ingredients but regret that you were not satisfied with the size and cost of the pizza. Our all natural preservative free pizza doughs are slightly larger than a standard small pizza. This seems to satisfy most appetites as many people ask us for a take out box for their remaining pieces that they did not finish in the restaurant.Our prices are less than other hand made artisan pizzerias. We don't try to compete with the commercial pizza chains as our customers prefer paying a bit more for quality local ingredients.As for the toppings, I believe that it was possible that the 3rd party delivery service regrettably did transport the pizza in such a way where the ingredients were moved around too much. We very much regret that this occurred and would have encouraged you to contact us to let us know what had happened and we would have corrected the situation.We sincerely hope that you give us another try.

Came to Town on early friday evening whithout a reservation. Resturant was almost full but staff was very service minded and I got a table for an hour. I orded ricotta suffed meatballs which came fairly quick ans was tasting very good, the tomato sauce tasted excellent! It is a small intimate place with a great atmosphar.

I wouldnât recommend this restaurant for anyone that is vegan. There are vegetarian options such as arancini (eggs), bruschetta, salads and one pasta dish, pasta primavera, that the server recommended to me, but that I do not recommend. The sauce is very watery, little taste and over compensated with garlic. I barely touched it. My husband tried it too and agreed it wasnât good.Meat eaters in the group liked theirs dishes. Server was arrogant, made us feel uncomfortable. Made sarcastic comments that made us feel uncomfortable. The bread was delicious, outside crisp, inside moist and soft.Desert menu very focused on chocolate (tiramisu, cheese cake, tartuffo, etc). I personally donât like chocolate and only had creme brûlée (eggs), lemon granité (cold) and an almond pastry as choices. I left hungry and unsatisfied. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but the options are limited for vegan /vegetarian people.On a positive note, the ambiance and decorations are nice.

We came here for lunch on a Tuesday. The place was packed. We were lucky to have 2 seats at the counter. I had the shrimp spaghetti which was fresh and flavourful. The other pasta dishes and pizzas looked great as well. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. Looking forward to returning to try other dishes.
