This restaurant is clean and brighly lit. Two mid-sized rooms afford generous space, while the separation makes the restaurant seem cozy and intimate. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly and accommodating. There is a moderate sized parking lot on premises, probably big enough for most nights, but if it fills up there is no place else to park as this restaurant sits on a major thoroughfare.A group of 6 of us went out for New Year's Eve. The restaurant was filled, but not overcrowded. They have a coupon online for a 15% discount, which they honored even on a prime night such as this and the food is reasonably priced even without the discount. They have no liquor license, but you are welcome to bring your own. They will uncork your wine for you without a "corkage" charge. Service is at an appropriate pace and they do not rush you. Our total price for the evening after the discount with tax and a generous tip was $31 per person. When we were seated, they promptly brought us two generous portions of delicious warm garlic knots and hot, crusty italian bread and a pitcher of water; all of which were refilled promptly upon request. We started with a couple of shared appetizers for the table: Mozzarella en Carozza and Stuffed Mushrooms. The mozzarella appetizer had nicely melted cheese and the bread appropriately crusty. It was served with a warm marinara dipping sauce. The stuffed mushrooms, OMG!!! - they were stuffed with a simple breadcrumb and mushroom stuffing and topped with a creamy vodka sauce, but it was one of the best things I ever ate and I could have made my meal out of just that. One of our party had a seafood soup, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had Veal Marsala, which was quite tasty. The veal was tender and the sauce was lighter and more delicate than most, which was OK with me since I was still enjoying the richness of the stuffed mushroom sauce. Some of the others at my table had shrimp scampi and one had a seafood medly consisting of lobster tail, mussels, shrimp, calamari, scungilli & clams over linguini. I don't eat seafood myself, but everyone was expressing their satisfaction with their dishes. All the portions were generous, with enough to either share or bring home for another meal. They have a very tempting dessert menu, but we opted not to have dessert since we were going elsewhere afterwards and were quite full by then anyway. I hope to try dessert on my next visit (there will definitely be a next visit).

Went here recently for the first time and was very impressed! The place was beautiful and ambience very nice. The menu had excellent choices of traditional Italian food, great wine list, excellent bar with hard to find brands and highly professional service. Itâs a powerful combination and made for a very tasty and enjoyable dining experience! The entrees we selected included, veal marsala, chicken parm, grilled salmon, and scallops with grits. All were tasty, portion size generous, and received rave reviews. As a fan of bourbon, I was happy to see Angels Envy in the house ( very tasty and not easy to find). Manhattans were excellent and made with the big round ice cubes. This usually means a superior bar! It was!The restaurant also had a number of private rooms to celebrate special events and occasions. After our great dinner, I would be happy to have an event here!Definitely will eat here again!

The food is excellent and the staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. If you don't see what you want, ask and the chef likely can make it.
This was our favorite pizzeria as a kid, then the sauce went downhil, so we stopped ordering from here. Recently, my boyfriend & I came in to eat to take a break from moving into our apartment. We ordered the a capreses salad & white pizza w/ broccoli-very tasty!Maybe a week later, my boyfriend's parents ordered a plain cheese pie & a white w/ spinach-again delicious! They're sauce is great again & I'm so glad to be a patrojn of this place again! DON'T CHANGE THE SAUCE!!!

Our group met here for lunch as they liked the wings. I don't eat them but I had the extra cheese margerita pizza. It was thin crusted and nicely prepared. The only problem was the level of noise. It was so noisy I could hardly hear the person sitting next to me. Service was very good though.
The place used to be good & what happened!!?? The pizza is now below average & the food tastes as if there is a beginner cook. Portions are smaller with a larger price.

One of many pizza places in the area. Seriously, you can't walk 10 feet in Fords without seeing a pizza place. It's amazing how any of them manage to survive. Fifteen years ago, this was the best local pizza place in that area. Let me reiterate, fifteen years ago. This is one of those places that survives off it's "legend". It ceased to be good pizza many years ago. Their "Italian" dishes are your typical low quality pizza place items that make Olive Garden look like it deserves a Michelin Star. NJ holds dear it's self-proclaimed mastery of the pizza arts and they will deify any pizza place that doesn't give you some sort of stomach disease. Villa could literally drive 5 minutes to a Pizza Hut, buy a pizza, bring it back to Villa and serve it to their customers, and those customers will tell anyone with ears how Villa pizza is SOOOO much better than chains like Pizza Hut. It's like some badge of honor to announce to the world you support local business, no matter how bad they are. So dont be fooled by the locals still nostalgic of over a decade ago when you could get a decent slice at "local" pizzarias. Those pizzarias now charge ridiculous prices for the honor of allowing you to eat at a "local" pizza place even though their pizza is no better than any chain or other local joint all within a stones throw from eachother...Literally. I live in Fords. There are at least 25 pizza places within a 5 minute drive and they all pretty much taste the same. The locals just charge on average of $5-7 more dollars a pie is the only difference.

We ordered pizza and chicken Parmesan, delicious. One family member is allergic to wheat he was able to order a gluten free pizza which he truly enjoyed.

We had a great dinner at Mama Lena's. Everything we ordered was well prepared, from the salads to the fagiola beans and spinach to the shrimp parmigiana to the angel hair and penne pasta--very tasty sauce and small garlic rolls with the meal.Service was also very friendly and helpful.Located very close to the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison

We literally drive from Long Island to go here, this time we stayed at Crown plaza Edison, and spent the day at Long Branch, very nice. The Seafood Tower Special for Two, $39, includes Lobster, Tuna, Clams, Shrimp, Oysters, Fruiti de Mare. I was full just from that. Always love the Rack of Lamb, Veal Chop was just OK. I think maybe next time share an entree or just order 2 more apps. Never know what to order anyway, too many choices. And of course BYOB!
