Mazzi's has been serving the freshest, most delicious Italian and Sicilian food in Eugene since 1970.
Mazzi's has been in town longer than we have! When we first moved to Eugene 25 years ago, we ate here several times...as a couple and with visiting family. Each time, we tended to like it less. It was OK for spaghetti and meatballs for the kids, but not for finer adult dining. So, it's been more than a decade since we last had dinner there. Now that we live within walking distance of the restaurant we thought we'd give it another try. After all, how bad can a place be if you still have to wait for a table most nights? We went on a Monday night, which should have been slow, but they were doing a charity special with a share of each tab going to the charity...so, it was pretty busy. We didn't have to wait for a table, however, and were seated immediately. It's a comfortable, warm environment, but I noticed that it was pretty loud. There was a bit of a wait between being seated by the very cordial hostess and being greeted by our server. Water and rolls were delivered shortly, but we had a bit of a wait to give our order. Our server spent a lot of time talking to other tables (there's a fine line between informal personal socializing and neglecting others). My wife ordered a bowl of minestrone (specifying full bowl and hot) and I ordered the ravioli. She got exactly what she wanted and was quite happy. My ravioli (in meat sauce) was very good...and rich. I took home almost half of it, which is unusual for me.All in all, we had a pleasant meal. Nothing outstanding, but at the end of a stressful day it was quite relaxing and satisfying.Mazzi's delivers comfort and Italian comfort food. You won't find it on the Michelin list, but it's a great place for the neighborhood.Thank you stopping by, we always appreciate your feedback.

I'm always pleased with my food at Olive Garden, service is generally excellent and I love the new lunch time menu. Good value and more reasonably sized portions.

Sometimes dining alone on a busy Saturday night, service is not always optimal. But not the case here. Although I was place in the back corner of the restaurant my server was very punctual and attentive. Made eating alone pleasant. Thank you. Excellent Food as well !!!

The owner imports the ingredients from Italy and the pizza is cooked in a wood fired oven. It is Naples style pizza with many delicious choices. Tastier than I experienced in Naples. The waitstaff are the best. Courteous and thoughtful. The restaurant is interesting and comfortable. A favorite of families, seniors and couples. Choices of Italian red wines compliment the pizza flavors. We return often to an enjoyable experience each time.

Ambrosia was born from a love of Italian tradition around food and wine. There is no better way to celebrate life than sharing a comforting meal with friends and family at the table! We feature classic Italian cuisine inspired by the vibrant Pacific Northw
Wife and I entered around 7Ãsh on Sat. night. No reservations. Only 3 people at bar, 4 tables sat upstairs, and about 4 bottom tables occupied by window near entrance.Hostess was going to seat us upstairs but we opted for the bar. It was spacious and didn't feel so close to the ceiling as opposed to being seated upstairs and able to kiss the ceiling and be crowded w/ the only 4 tables seated next to us. Also it was stuffy and warm upstairs and by the bar was comfortably cool and felt we could "breathe".Greeted by bartender. Very nice. And another bartender stepped in and he was nice. Drinks were delivered promptly. We ordered our food which took long. We looked at the couples seated (after us) on both sides of us and they got their food in reasonable time. We wondered what was going on w/ our food.I've worked as a server for many years and concluded it was either bartender forgetting to send the order or the kitchen messed up the order. Who knows. Anyhow it took about 25 min. Waaay to long. The other customers were near finishing their food.I had the Chicken Roulade which was fair. Slightly overcooked. The accompanying Risotto was not even cooked properly. Not creamy nor sticking together. It was simply rice.Pointed it out to bartender when asked midway through our eating how dishes were. (One would think we'd be asked within few minutes especially when we waited awhile).Wife had Artichoke/olive pizza. She enjoyed hers.Ended w/ Chocolate flourless cake. It was fair. Asked for the raspberry sauce on side. When presented bill, barkeep said they took off $2 for the trouble. LOL. Gee Thanks. Waited close to half hour for entrees and Risotto came as rice. At least throw in the desert or comp 2 drinks or anything else. $2 is all they can do. That's not even close to the tax sum on bill. The ambience was nice. Great chilled music at the time. Bar is long and like I said before high ceilings unless you sit upstairs. Might be able to touch it w/ your hands if stretching. Can sit outside. There's about 4 tables on sidewalk.Would we come again? Probably so for the drinks. Food? Probably order something else w/ no expectations that it would be great. If it is then it's better to be surprised in good way.Reading the other reviews, it appears the consensus is average. So in summary it's a Hit or Miss with this restaurant.

Two locations in Eugene; other is downtown at 933 Pearl Street
I've always been a fan of Track Town Pizza down the road, but Mezza Luna Pizzeria is a bit different and a bit better. It is particularly good on "alternative" pizzas you don't always get at Track Town, as well as traditional flavors.

If you like good food served on linen table cloths and candle lit, your going to really like this place. Third time since moving here! Watch the meters outside as they issue citations after 6.

Chose this restaurant based Trip Advisor ratings. It is so popular that it was completely full of patrons on a Sunday night. We started with a Caesar salad and their bread was really fab. My husband had a nice glass of white wine to enjoy with his entree' of chicken breast with melted cheese, green beans and red potatoes. I loved my lamb entree', which was nicely seasoned, with the same sides. I chose the cider, which was dry and just perfect with my meal. The spice cake for dessert had the smallest bits of excellent chocolate to top off our fare. Prices seemed somewhat high, but we'd definitely dine there again.
