Very friendly place with a homely atmosphere. We were there as a family group, some of whom had been before, and we were made to feel very welcome. The little ones were given toys to entertain them and the staff made sure they didn't have to wait long for their meals. The pizza was delicious and it is definitely a place I would come back to.

Ambience and setting were quite nice, traditional, though the table next to us had a very vocal babyâ¦The food was generally good, with an absolutely unforgettable suckling pig--truly delicious.Other dishes were good--overall, the food sets a very high standard. What let's Les Pertzes down is the poor service. Food delivered haphazardly--we waited five minutes for the last person to have their main course served. The staff is slow to respond to requests--another bottle of wine, another bottle of water, etc could take 10 minutes or more and several reminders. One of the waitresses was borderline aggressive in clearing the table, demanding in a very pushy way that we pass her the plates, even after we asked her to just let us finish our coffee.Would go back for the food, perhaps once, to see if the service issues were taken care of.

In 1991, almost 25 year ago, I visited the valle de Cogne and the entrance to the Gran Paridis, Valnontey. Camping with friends and children in the 'Pearl of the Valle d' Aosta" was a real adventure,. Now in the summer 2015, I discovered the beautifull Ferme du Gran Paradis. A Bed & Breakfast runned by Massimilliano and Paola, nice owners and very friendly hosts.on an agriturismo formula. Producing their own cheese (cows and goats), vegetables etc.... and all finished in the kitchen, our stomachs or in the shop. Watch about these in the DVD 'Produits d' Hauteur. JP

The food was outstanding. Sabina, the owner, took care of every detail. My daughter needs gluten free and she and the cooks had many options including pasta. They also have a great wine selection and she walked me through many of the local offerings. There is a garden area out back for outside, mountain view, seating. From the front the cave looks like a small boutique store. Don't let this fool you. It is a hidden little gem with some of the best food, wine and service you will find.

In the town square thereâs a spot where you can savour convivial dishes characteristic of the Western Alps: La Brasserie du Bon Bec serves dishes that are fun to share, such as mixed grills, fondue etc. La Brasserie maintains its simplicity and pleasant f
This place is just OK. No dish achieved excellence, nor did any fall below acceptable (save for the bread, see below). I was expecting something at the level of their Bellevue cousins 'Bar a Fromage', with a similar style and which I had rated excellent, but here we are a notch or two below. For example, the wild boar ragout in a gnocchi primo was rather bland, but at least abundant. The gnocchi themsleves were rubbery, hard and slippery, and I am not sure how they can be described as 'polenta gnocchi', as they have nothing in texture or taste that recalls polenta. A trout was overcooked but had very good flavour. Other traditional dishes (vegetable flan, veal) were unremarkable but not bad. Same for desserts. The only truly disappointing item was the bread, an important element in an Italian restaurant. It was just embarrassing. Supermarket quality, served scorching hot, probably straight after defrosting/reheating...Service is polite and smiling, though sometims a little clumsy (my glass was knocked over the table, after which a few napkins were thrown for US to clear the mess, no acknoweldgement for the lost content...), and not very well informed about the details of the dishes. The room is intimate and pleasant. Prices are not high in absolute terms but still at those prices I would expect a little more.

Was expecting something refined and delicious, but, being French, I guess I expected too much. The service was pleasant, as well as the atmosphere. But the food is really mediocre: the green gnocchis with cream sauce were totally bland, and so dissapointing! The medecine salad had too much dressing, and the polenta was tasteless as well! All in all, a low quality diner at a rather high cost!
Top 10 Barbecue food in Bari Sardo, Province of Ogliastra, Italy
Fresh pizza dough and delicipus toppings make for a relatively cheap but delicious meal. We took our pizza out to the square as this is a take-away restaurant and enjoyed the food as well as the view.

We dined here on our first night in Aosta. The food, wine and service was great. The menu varies to suit locally available fresh produce. Lovely central location and alfresco dining added to the overall experience. Prices very reasonable. Certainly worth a visit.
