Se vi capita di passare sulla Flaminia, all'altezza del ponte sul Tevere, ponte Felice, fermatevi e prendete la porchetta da Sandrino. La più buona in zona. Gentilezza cortesia e bontà . A Sandrino non manca nulla.

If you want to really enjoy the great cucina italiana get out of the city. This trattoria specialises in 'primi' - pasta dishes made with ingredients from the garden. It's nothing short of excellent, with really friendly service and low prices. Absolutely great.

take away food , fry , pizza , homemade cuisine . our fresh pasta and homemade , our strength and the accuracy and authenticity of the products . the dishes are mainly of Italian tradition , revisited for the needs of our time .
We ordered what they recommended and couldn't be happier! We waited about 20 minutes, and in that time they made the sausage and fettuccine fresh. My boyfriend had a super amazing pasta with fish sauce. After, we had a few vegetable dishes from the tavola calda. It's a casual place, they serve on plastic plates during lunch, but it's really at the top in terms of delicious, fresh, Italian food made with high-quality ingredients!

We had been wandering around Civita Castellana after a quick visit to nearby Calcata and suddenly realised that it was getting late for lunch. But that was no problem for Il Buttero, who were still accepting customers at 14.40 (maybe because it was Sunday). Quite a few Italian families enjoying their meal and it took a bit of time for our food to arrive but it was tasty and well presented. The chocolate tart is certainly worth trying.(The restaurant is down a small street off the main drag but still pretty central and well signposted.)

This restaurant is a complete waste of time and money! I went last month on a Saturday night at about 8:30pm (the normal time of eating dinner for most Italian restaurants), and the place was nearly empty. That should have been my first sign not to eat there. However, I really wanted something to eat and I gave it a chance. At this hour, the kitchen had already closed and therefore the waiter told me that I could only order things that were already pre-made or didn't require cooking. The waiter acted as if I should be apologetic for coming into the restaurant, rather than serving me graciously- I guess the recession hasn't created a desire for more customers, yet. Actually, I have had this same experience in several other restaurants in Civita Castellana (notably Il Buttero), where I feel like I am a nuisance rather than a valued guest. At La Giaretta, I had an assortment of meats and cheeses, which weren't nice, and some stale white bread. I also had a pasta that was so forgettable that I don't even remember what I ordered. And in the end, I paid over 15 euro! I should have eaten a kebab in the central square, instead...Questo signore ha assolutamente sbagliato locale , facendo descrizioni non inerenti al nostro modo di lavorare

We had a relaxing and enjoyable supper . The food was well prepared and tasty. The setting for the restaurant is an old stable and they have succeeded in keeping architectural elements that enhance the decor-. Very pleasing. Excellent service.

I've eaten at Da Erminio twice now, and I have always enjoyed the food. As far as I know, this restaurant was opened by a previous chef at Mignolo, another Civita restaurant with a proud local following. This newly opened restaurant has very attentive service and the dishes are quite cheap for the quality. However, I must point out that the decor of the restaurant (there are pictures and photos depicting a variety of cultures and cities) and the lighting (which is bright, sterile, and hospital-like) really degrade the dining experience. I would prefer to see pictures of Civita or the local countryside and, although I do love to see my friends while I eat, I don't want to be nervous that they will see every wrinkle or imperfection on my face while we eat. Better mood lighting, sconces, and candles could really improve this. The restaurant also now has a menu, which is great, but it does appear quite cheap as if it was printed from Microsoft Word. I also noticed that the front of the restaurant gives mixed signals regarding whether Da Erminio is in fact a restaurant or a bar that also serves food- you enter through a narrow area with a large bar with espresso machine. Actually, during my last visit the waiters had to tell two potential customers that "no, we aren't a bar but a restaurant" when they entered to ask for 2 coffees. I'd definitely come back for the food and the price, but if the lighting doesn't change I'll have to make sure I come only when I'm having a really good hair day.

I could tell lots of good things about the wild pig ragu sauce or the pig medallions or some other dishes we tried at Mignolo, since food was really exquisite. You will not find "nouvelle cuisine" here but real great traditional local food, served in very good portions.Again, this is not (only) what surprised me.It was actually the bill we got: 70 Euros for 4 pastas (they did not charge mine since I brought the gluten free pasta myself!!!) appetizers, a couple of seconds, wine and three desserts.I could not believe to my eyes: such a quality at that price! And kindness since they din not charge for the gluten free pasta, even though the prepared it and did my second course again since accidentally there was some bread on it.Hints: - try the wild pig ragu- go there early, around 12:30 during week end. Then it gets really busy

I have been living in Civita Castellana for nearly three months now, and I have to admit that I haven't exactly been blown away by the restaurant scene in the town. Apart from Pane Pomodoro, which is more of a casual restaurant, Beccofino is one of the only restaurants where I've eaten tasty, warm, and thoughtful food in Civita. I decided to go with my friends on Thanksgiving night. I ordered pasta with duck/ porcini ragu, which definitely impressed me. The bread, wine (a Montepulciano recommended by the waitress), both contributed to an overall positive dining experience. As my friends knew the owner/ chef, at the end of our meal he joined us for a pleasant chat and some laughs. I would definitely recommend Beccofino for anyone visiting and/or stranded in Civita Castellana! Downsides: Fake flowers in the entrance, waiting area, and dining area. A single fresh flower per table, per day would definitely improve the overall vibe of the restaurant.

Just had a lovely lunch here. The manager couldn't have been more friendly and helpful going to great trouble to translate the menu for us. We were offered (and rapidly accepted) on the house some gorgeous goat cheese, bread with olive oil and nuts on and the pork main meal was wonderful. The bottle of wine for 7 euros was great value in our opinion too. On a hot day this was a lovely place to linger. Highly recommended. Each customer Hostaria della Rosa deserves warmth and friendliness. Our mission is to select the best quality of products to fulfill the wishes of our customers and make happy their lunch. When our customer is happy, we are happy with him.Thank you for choosing the Hostaria Rose, and thank you for your review.Best regardsMaurizio Vecchi
