Things to do in Chiaramonte Gulfi
The farm Mortilla is a family winery, offers guided tours and tastings of wines accompanied by appetizers-firsts-second made with typical products of our province
From being greeted at the front door by one of the owners, through the 5 course meal, to the tour of the room where the wine is aged, this was a memorable night. The food and wine are exceptional. Everything is prepared and presented with loving care, in true Sicilian manner.

We enjoyed excellent, friendly and attentive service from the moment we arrived in the beautiful outdoor courtyard under the Olive trees. Mood lighting created a lovely ambience. Live music played in the background. There were a number of large family groups celebrating. The pizzas are delicious and we also enjoyed the Filet Beef and Veal Mixed Grill. We shared an assortment of desserts-- yumeeeee!!

This place is incredible, the principle is simple food of the highest standard cooked correctly. The mixed antipasto and pasta stuffed with vegetables were so tasty. The meat and cannolo were excellent too. Can't recommend this place enough. grazie tanto

Can't fault really. Yes, not the most attractive building I ever been in but the food was excellent. The gratin of mussels were outstanding. Frito Misto crisp but nicely cooked as was the mixed grilled fish. Croquettes of potato were delicious with only the grilled radicchio a bit disappointing as came out fried. An excellent place to come and eat fish.

First we had problems to find that place. It's not exactly in the center plaza of Chiaramonte and rather outside of tourist main streets. Nevertheless it's nice atmosphere and they have couple of tables outside close to the street, but we did not find it distracting.Food is good and relatively cheap I.e. 4 eur for the cheapest pizza etc. waitress do not speak English, but they are very friendly and supportive. Recommended!

Personale gentilissimo.Insomma, è uno degli agriturismi dove ho mangiato meglio!Non vediamo l'ora di tornare!Bravi, continuate così!

We were a party of three and showed up at this restaurant without a booking for lunch on Friday. We chose this restaurant because of the wonderful smells emanating from it when we passed by and we were not disappointed in the least. The restaurant is located in a very quiet street just off the main square of the village and it specialises in pork based products. To start with we had the house antipasto which was composed of two types of salamis made from pork, some shredded carrots, marinated olives and pork covered with a layer of gelatin. The salamis were delicious and the olives marinated in chilli and olive oil were equally good. The pork in gelatin was tasty however we removed the gelatin since its not something we actually like too much. We also had a side of the greens dressed in olive oil and pepper - fantastic as well. For mains we had the home made trofie with pistaccio and porcini mushrooms and this was divine. My daughter had a grilled sausage which was delicious, the smokey flavour giving it that added depth of flavour. We also shared a half bottle of red wine. All this cost just 38 Euros - excellent value for quality. Will return.

Hard to fault really. How a previous review can say expensive is beyond us. We shared an antipasti then had a pasta course each followed by quail for us both. 2 side dishes and a bottle of good bottle of red all came to â¬57! All the cooking was really good with only the quail being slightly over by a couple of minutes.
